Optical Flow OPF isn’t used to reduce sound that’s just an effect of it. It’s a particle filter
OPF reduces volume but what people are interested in is the frequency of the pops and what not. For this one they figured out how to keep the frequency people are after - so the OPF side effect of less volume is negligable.
Volkswagen should sell this in north America instead of the T-Cross or the Tiguan

This is a crossover, not a SUV. It's a Golf that's got a bigger ground clearance and about the same weight.

It's subjective, some people want or need something with a better view of the road but still with performance, golf r's are nice but is like certain bmw's everyone got one, unless you do track days etc, most of these will just be cruising on motorway, freeway or autobahns.

@@pokest225 Nope... its not. Rember... LC, 4WD and DSG. This car is atleast 0.5-0.8s to slow. Besides that... the 100-VMax will be slow as fuck... as in all 2 Liter TFSI VAG cars.

Markus LC yes because you’re every time in the car touching the plastics... in the T-Roc you sit on very good sport seats and you touch a very comfortable steering wheel and a good shifter. Also, the aluminum pedals feel really good. This is what you have to take into account, not the hard plastics of the interior cause they don’t give you any feeling. They are assembled very well because they don’t make any noise. So that’s matter. Not anything else
@@aian9597 are you a vw saleman or a vw fanboy? cuz a normal person would not believe that bullshit you ve written. if you pay 60k € for a car, you expect, as a normal person, a certain amount of quality and according materials, which is not the case here, if you want to put your arm on the very top of the door, for the classic cruising position, your ellbow is touching hard plastics, instead of softtouch as you get it in a golf R e.g. so if you are not taking such things into account, than you are a person who is very quickly satified by paying absurdly much for it. another thing, hardplastics tend to make disgusting noises after some time, also in a vw, another point, where i expect some quality which is not delivered here.

I have a T-Roc, it's like a golf 7, but worse...
Well well well. I've seen the t-roc at a VW dealer. And as always, I performed my "interior quality check".
I was shocked. I haven't touched more hard plastic in any car before! The dash, doorpanels, every piece except steering wheel and seats is covered in low quality materials!
In the Amarok: Okay, because it is a working vehicle or at least designed so. There the "cheaper" interior is superior, because you can wipe most of the dirt off.
The T-Roc is a pure lifestyle thingy. And therefore the interior is at Dacia level for a premium price. You pay 38-40k or more for a car which has only VW's biggest cost cutting efforts in it.
The engine in the relatively small car might drive good, but damn, for that price I can buy a G30 540i or a mighty W204 C63 AMG, which Outperforms the T-Roc in style, quality and Performance.
Gosh dang, I can't believe that the "sparwagen ag" (cost-cutting &Co) pushed out the T-ROC R with probably the same cheapish interior. Well, it's VW, the best thing they can do is cost cutting.
Speed limit is 80 km/h in France on this road, and not 135......................

Ich glaube der Unterschied ist woanders. Den Golf R hat man innerhalb seines Zyklus erst nachträglich mit der Akra ausgestattet und dann auch noch nachträglich mit dem OPF. Beim T-Roc R konnte man sicherlich von Anfang an ganzheitlich entwickeln und hat sicher auch auf das Kunden-Feedback zum Golf R Sound gehört....ich finde das sehr gelungen👍

I know Volkswagen is a luxury brand (except Golf and UP are premium), but why doesn't Volkswagen have a 480 or 500 hp Passat R?
VW is not a luxury brand 🤦♂️. But I can now say I've heard it all 😂.
Porsche, Bentley, Aston Martin are luxury brands.
VW is a mainstream brand, just like Skoda, SEAT, Ford, Mazda, Renault, etc. A bit of interior quality over its competitors doesn't make it a luxury brand, not even premium. The only car that could really be considered premium in their lineup is the Touareg. That's it.
The reason they don't have a 500HP Passat R is because it wouldn't sell. They tried that with the Phaeton and it didn't sell. People weren't interested in the Phaeton precisely because a VW is a mainstream brand.
Vw doesn't have any engine capable of these numbers that can fit in the mqb platform. Transverse mounted engines. Fwd, or haldex.
@Aleksandar Ninković not even close. Interior quality isn't anywhere near premium while their engines and chassis are as budget as possible, with other elements being skimped on for cost cutting reasons (quality around the back seats, fake exhausts).
The fact that they're asking for more money than their competition doesn't make them neither premium nor particularily worth the money. They'll ask for as much as people are willing to pay because VW's perceived quality is higher than the actual quality, like you just proved.
If you wanna see a brand aspiring towards premium status, check the new Mazda 3's interior. The Golf's interior is a joke in comparison.

Aber der Golf ist noch viel besser verarbeitet. Cockpit vom T Roc besteht doch nur aus Hartem Kunststoff, und nicht wie beim Golf wo alles aufgeschäumt ist

@@rahelkressbach6919 nein nur für den Golf R und den T-Roc R. Es gibt aber Auspuffanlagen für weniger Geld die sich besser anhören auch für den Polo R-Line. Kann dir da welche von Bastuck oder Friedrich Motorsport empfehlen.
