WACCA had so much potential... While the song list is excellent with its collabs and wide variety of TANO*C songs, the bad cab design and boring charting really held it back (at least for me, also the newer charts are so much better.) At Round 1 here in the US it seems to be one of the more popular cabinets with the casual audience which makes me think it could have had a chance if it had an American release.
Actually if had it a localized version would be so great but nah. I can read Japanese but I don't think some like random guy walked into round1 can read
Wacca has a 50" 1080p screen under the ring, but since the screen is 16:9 and the actual visible area is a small circle, most of it gets cropped so it looks pretty bad.
I was walking around Round One, and I'm you haven't been there, it's a fairly expensive arcade but has a TON of games and variety, including maybe half Japanese arcade games. Out of all the large selections of rhythm games, this one stood out and I fell in love with it with one play, AND it let me play 4 songs per credit!
My local arcade got a WACCA cab a few months ago, and it's the only one in my country. One of the owners of the arcade made an English patch by himself for that cab, and it's on a server so there is data saving through aime card (though if it's the same server as other WACCA cabs in Europe I don't know). It's so much fun and one of my favourite arcade rhythm games! Last time I went to the arcade I increased my rate from 1290 to 1457 😄
I love how good of private server support this has here in USA. I'd love to see Marvelous reinstate official service. I'm lucky to have a few independent arcades near me that are on the private networks, but it would be even cooler to be on official networks and also be able to play online at major arcades like Round1.
I went to a nearby arcade with wacca, and I find it pretty cool that people can revive the game into it’s original glory. Whenever a game goes offline “forever”… that NEVER means it’s gone forever, especially if it’s a rhythm game.
I just discovered that there's a Wacca machine at my local arcade in Maine! Pretty surprising because I didn't see it last time I was there and Maine is a pretty small and dead place. Thanks for putting me on
I heard about Wacca a while ago but never really knew what it was. Thank you for this video. Though I never played wacca, this video provided some insight on its shutting down and Why it happened.
the koko city hero cab mentioned in the video did apply the mythos translation a while ago if anyone else in sydney plays wacca (I've literally only seen a single person other than myself play it actively).
i loved this game when it was still online, i miss it a lot. however if i ever become rich enough i'll buy the rights to the cab and continue online service for the game. thats just a pipe dream though
I live in Italy and recently went on holiday to Japan I was actively looking for it even using the site you showed to find one but I wasn't lucky enough to find one 😢
The game is entirely offline, there exist offline servers that venues can connect to and you can use your card, Koko's is online, but we don't have Round1 in aus so I can't tell if they got contracts for amusementIC or not

I love WAACA. It's what got me into the rhythm game rabbit hole.

Wonder if you could use a 4K screen with upscaling to mod it.

Ya I really think this game could benefit from some sort of reboot. I think the Pandemic hit his game really unfairly and it has a lot of potential

i have been going to cityheroes almost every week for the past year and i had no idea there was a wacca cab there until i saw your vid. thanks brotha.
I found wacca by accident at a new arcade here in Florida like 4 months ago, and I go to that arcade every week now, the game is so good
The loss of WACCA made me so sad. As an Aussie resident like you, I live in the middle of nowhere, and getting to Sydney isnt cheap for me.
I heard about Wacca a while ago but never really knew what it was. Thank you for this video. Though I never played wacca, this video provided some insight on its shutting down and Why it happened.
our wacca cab is on a private server with an english patch…it’s pretty nice to play still
Chrono circle is going offline in 2025 since it's a dead rhythm game 😢
I played chrono circle in Japan and it's kinda just... bad maimai with extra steps. I was really looking forward to playing it too and it was terrible
it was announced today that a similar to wacca game, chrono circle, is going offline. very sad
CHRONO CIRCLE WENT WHAT??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
The songs in WACCA really wacs hard!
having played on a WACCA cab days ago, i found out that my friend's con cab is EN patched.
I really loved the game. So sad that it gone offline. I still use my custom aime decorated with wacca.

Wacca was byfar one of my favorite games in the entire arcade, and it has a lot of rhythm games to compare to

I played on an English cab at a convention earlier this year. It was super fun to try but didn't have a card on me.
yeah wacca is pretty cool, i need to properly play it next time i go to the arcade
offline yeah, unless...

shame Lithuania has no rhythm cabs like these
they're offline in R1 even with card right
