As someone in Germany: Arcades were illegal until 2003, and after that, nobody bothered opening one, because fun fact: Nobody here enjoys videogames. When they say they're a gamer, they're usually talking about clash of clans or, god forbid, fifa. People here only know how to "have fun" by the means of getting drunk and yelling at soccer. There exists ONE arcade in my entire state, and it only has a stepmaniax cabinet. The rest is old rail shooters and casino machines.
hi-score is an arcade that opened a few months? ago in hannover, they have iidx, jubeat, sound voltex, wacca, dancerush, chunithm? and a few others definitly check it out if you can
Not sure about the reason as to why, but here in Russia we never really had any proper arcades either. The best we have is a bunch of PIU cabs and one arcade with DDR in Moscow, but that's it. But oh well, rhythm games generally are really unpopular here, so I doubt it'd even be worth it for companies to import cabs to this country. I doubt they even can, given the whole thing our government is doing right now
@@Fafr The reason why there are so many PIU cabs is because it was (and still is) the most popular rhythm game in Russia (with the exception of maybe osu!, but those "zxc dead inside" teens playing dota-rap don't count). It's also a lot easier and cheaper to get than DDR, and the normies wouldn't know the difference (9 times out of 10 during my pump session there's at least one kid who comes by and yells "YOOO DDR!!!"). By most, any traditional style rhythm games are seen as a "no life weeb" thing, that's why there's absolutely no cabs in public, and most likely they will never be here. Even the only Round1 in Russia closed in 2022 with major losses. If we ignore the lack of rhythm-games except PIU and sometimes DDR, we do have proper arcades in Russia, though outside of Moscow and Petersburg they're 100% a blend of child-friendly casinos and outdated cabinets.
Luckily in the UK, there are a few Sound Voltex cabinets dotted around the country, and I’m lucky enough to live travelling distance from it and it’s so much better playing in the arcade than at home. You can connect with people and just have fun.
My friend and I have the full arcade version of the game for uhhhh free... it's fully the arcade version with all songs and everything included, you make your own account and play in premium play mode, its pretty sweet!
@@tebbs8451 there are ways of getting "data" which is literally just a cracked arcade version, pretty hush hush so you gotta do your own research about it tho.
arcade are always the top dog, but you can make the home version just like the arcade by getting some switches and sanwas from BSE (blue spring express) tho i hardly touch the pc port cause i travel to the city for work and just play at the cade (sydney gamer)
Well I'm afraid I'm SOL since I only play with the logitech f310 gamepad in kshootmania let me tell you when I say, I refuse to pay for a legit controller, lol. Edi: or a sub lol

Let’s imagine you got hold of an arcade machine to have at home. Do you still pay the monthly subscription?
I can't say much publicly but if you were to import a cab you would have to run it on an unofficial network.
Not happening. Very hard to get the latest version connected on a private network
we have sound voltex at home
the sound voltex at home:
on a more serious note, the closest arcade with an SDVX cab is overseas so my public transportation cost is more along the lines of $250
as someone in canada:
home version better (arcades dont exist)
Canada doesn't exist
we got arcades trust
Eastern Europe:
Russia:
As someone in Vancouver:
Arcades do exist*
*no Valkyrie cabs so everyone plays at home anyway because you get 120Hz
Sows and Pico Micro svdx controller
VALKYRIE ASSAULT being arcade exclusive is a travesty 😭
Katoomba mention????
I'm quite sure you do not need to say your region in Japan, unless something pops up later.
Nah you need to get the Japan region, but also why set it to other countries. Unless you are thinking of going to kac I just do Jo region
can we colab
2nd that notion

Why are you considering bus fares? Lol. Just doesn't seem very relevant.
living in a city with some of the most expensive PT in the world I can say it adds up
I take a metro train, a regular train and a bus to get to my arcade, so yeah, not everyone gets everywhere in a car.
obviously arcade is better, but you need access to one...
