- www.vladtv.com - On August 14, 2009, rapper C-Murder was sentenced to life without parole for the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Steve Thomas. Being a part of such a celebrated family, his feud with his brother, Master P, was brought to the forefront, but their other sibling, rapper Silkk the Shocker, simply wishes they could "talk it out and keep the media out of it."
According to Silk, C-Murder is "really innocent." "They're like, 'oh that's your brother, you're gonna say that,' but I wouldn't say that," he told DJ Vlad. "I think if you do a crime you gotta do the time. But the part that hurts us the most is he's fighting against a whole system...If you really check the case out, it's clearly no way in the world he did it."
Delving deeper into C-Murder's case, Silkk the Shocker undoubtedly stated "they all know it's not true - they already know the person who did it. They gotta sworn affidavit from the person who did it." In the end, he understands his brother is being held behind bars because of a corrupt justice system, but feels his case will ultimately set standards for similar ones in the future if he's ever released.

It's all racism. C Murder was targeted and convicted because he was a rapper making millions of dollars under a label created by his brother Master P who rearranged his dealings in the industry as an artist and beat their system that is designed to make the labels who are owned by whites rich while the black artists who thrive their companies remain broke. People are so oblivious and critical of Master P's rap persona and him lacking the ability to have a remarkable flow but they don't actually know how much money he generated off his record label grossing seventy five million dollars solely to himself for the most part. This angered alot of whites and if you follow the music and his latest interviews he explains it very subtly in different instances. The same thing that happened to C-Murder also occurred to a label mate of his name Mac and it involved the same exact scenario with a young boy being murdered at a club he was performing at, this isn't a coincidence.

I feel bad for C-Murder. Everyone in the city knows he didn't do it. The only witnesses recanted their story once the D.A. left office. It's sad how NOPD intimidated these women into giving false testimony. They know men would never do that so they prey on women; knowing they fear being away from their children. More than that they fear their children being thrown into the sick, Foster care system we have in New Orleans. Mac is getting out of jail soon; he was innocent also. Once again it was women that testified against him and then recanted once that same DA left office.

Then this interview from 4 yrs ago where Silkk says the lawyers are still working yet C put out a diss track on Master P. I see an article from 2018 where Master P held a rally asking to Free C Murder (which means after his diss record still holding him down) and here we are now today. Ppl can say what they want about P but the proof is in the pudding. He's been fighting for his bro for yrs. My few cents opinion about C's case is simple. He became a victim of circumstances wrong place at the wrong time. I agree his name plus music contributed towards his conviction. I can't imagine him having that much anger against a sixteen year old boy. Besides, as he said the evidence doesn't convict him alone. The system has it's own method who they chose to convict. A valuable lesson be careful of surroundings, and associations. Prevent yourself caught in the system unnecessarily.
