- Silkk The Shocker says the streets were his, Master P, and C-Murder's way out until his oldest brother, Kevin Miller, was murdered in 1990. While turning down record deals left and right, he says they finally decided to steer away from the street life due to how Kevin was killed. "That changed it all." He explained, "It's kind of sad, but it's a happy moment as well because, I don't think we would have made it if he wouldn't have passed away."

My boy at the time was a dj and was hired at this club in New Orleans(4got name) and every time I would go to the club I would see P hustling his music(wish I still had the cassette -Fuck Hurricane Katrina). P was mad cool. Maybe New Orleans is small enough people could know random people, because I was cool with Juvie when he lived next door to my aunt. I was happy for their success.

The whole section was filled with those dope ass album covers they had. They had so many artist that they had the entire rap section on lock. They put out music every month too.
