- D.I.Y Custom tray build part 1. I am an amateur at this type of stuff but thought id give it a go since i can't afford to pay a professional. This is not a HOW TO and is more just for your entertainment but you may be able to get some inspiration or ideas. Also recommend having a better work area haha.

Just be careful grinding near your car mate, the sparks will bubble up the paint and will rust out the guards, but mint job on the tray for someone giving it a go 🤙 building my own at the moment too !

Nice work doing a good job welds aren't really bad on the better side seen jobs with badder welds then yours mate if your not feeling to confident too strengthen them up you can run an extra couple beads along the top and bottoms off your beads your already done and that will strengthen them more but so far your doing a good job keen to see the end when the trays finished

@@nicshepherdfilms all good man watched the rest of the build lastnight the tray finished up nice been looking at a few different videos for ideas of what to do for my hilux come together nicely its good to see there still people out there that try to build there own stuff and have a crack
Bit late but it pays to grind off paint clean steel
have a look at the adjustment on your welder with the volts and that to get a cleaner weld so not so much splatter everywhere
