Don't Be Scared To Print With Water Base. Be Prepared.

- Water Base Printing can bring big value to your print shop. To some it's intimidating, but if you've got the right water base printing set up, it's a breeze. Literally! The key to curing water base ink is the evaporation of the water itself. When Golden Press Studio got in their new Riley Hopkins Forced Air Flash Dryer it made flashing simple.
It works wonderfully for both plastisol and water base printing as the air being pushed through creates a heat curtain that pushes all the way to the edge and distributes for more evenly (bigger sweet spot to flash). While it helps with moving away WB vapors, it does the same with moisture coming off the garment (cotton). This helps to heat more evenly. It's also more stable in areas that have a slight draft.

hey weird question but whats the max size screen for the "DIY PRINT SHOP Original T-Shirt Screen Printing Kit". I have a 20×24 screen and I want to buy the kit but I'm not sure if my screen will fit. Please help
Hi i just bought some stuff from the website i was wondering i use a heat gun to flash then cure with a heat press how long can i leave a shirt thats been flashed sitting for before i go to cure it on the heatpress?
You can leave it for a few hours to a day. It depends on how well it was flashed / gelled as there is a chemical process happening during this stage. The resins (solids) are absorbing the liquids (oils) as the ink gets hotter and hotter. If you leave the ink gelled and there are free liquids - those can leach out into the garment over time. The more it has been flashed, the fewer oils there are to leach out. Hope this helps.
Nom, nom, nom, “So guys”. Lol
What is the process from choosing the graffiti to set it up on screen before painting?
There's a lot that goes into burning your artwork into a screen before printing (with ink) Check this out! www.screenprinting.com/pages/how-to-screen-print-video-series
Still not confident 😁
what is your screen mesh count btw?
Good question! @GoldenPressStudio you want to answer that? Can I take a guess and say 200mesh??
what size screens are you using?
Hi @Saaint! Looks like they were using 20x24.
Is that an auto flash
Hi @Pixels-N-Bytes! This is a forced air flash with a Flash-a-matic attachment. Optimized for printing water base. You can set a time for it rotate off of the garment so you don't risk burning things.
