    Thank you for sharing this. This will give you a laugh, I'm just getting into screen printing. I have been doing decorating / signage for years.
    Yesterday i was trying to cure a white plastisol print with my heat gun in one hand and my temp gun in the other while standing next to my 16 x 20 heat press !!! It never crossed my mind you could use a heat press to cure the ink.

      I totally understand this LOL Had a heat press sitting and wasn't even using . Stressing myself with the heat gun hoping it worked out

    Can you get a better results if you were to use a higher mesh count and also doing more than one pass?

    • @ATeePrint
      @ATeePrint  2 роки тому +2

      With the heat press it does not matter what mesh count you use because it will always flatten the ink and it will give you a softer feel.
      Now to answer your question? on the mesh count, The higher the mesh count it is the less ink will be deposited
      So yes you will get a softer feel.
      If you haven't seen part one here's the link
      And here you will see me cure plastisol ink using the flash, And I'm using a 156 mesh
      On this video.

    Inbetween prints you used the heatgun. After second pass of ink did you heat it up before pressing it? OR you pressed it wet?

    • @ATeePrint
      @ATeePrint  2 роки тому +2

      Again I appreciate you watching my videos! 🙌
      Normally I used the flash, And what I do is a print flash and then cure. Not wet on wet.

    I’m using Fn ink plastisol ink I’m drying it with heat Gun for 2 min 4-5 Inches away and ironing it 260 5 secs are they cured the way I’m doing them

    • @ATeePrint
      @ATeePrint  2 роки тому +1

      As long you don't see cracking on the ink you are good.
      But if you are going to be curing with the heat press, all you have to do is hit it a couple seconds with the heat gun and then do 10 to15 seconds on the heat press you should be good 👍

      I have the Ricoma 16x20. It is a great heat press. This he pressed Auto opens, it has a digital pad, You can set up your own presets and have them ready for different jobs, And the plate slides out.
      I have a link to that heat press here it is

    Do you use plastisol or water based ink? And if I use heat press to cure water based should I do 320 20 seconds or longer? Thanks!

    What pressure are you using for the press? And how long are you pre cutting with the heat gun before pressing?

    • @ATeePrint
      @ATeePrint  Рік тому +2

      Medium pressure, And with the heat gun you want to do it for a couple of seconds until the ink is dry a little bit, And then you cure it with the heat pressed.
