That's because they videotaped the real wrestlers doing these moves and inserted their clips into the game. That's the real Shawn Michaels, the real Undertaker and the real Bret Hart etc. doing these moves.
This game looked so real back then! My dad got my big brother this game and NFL Quarterback Club '96 around his birthday for the Sega Genesis when we were kids around 1996-97 while on a trip to Las Vegas. My bro probably wanted to play QB Club more, but I was FAR more excited to play Wrestlemania than him because this era was the beginning of more or less a lifelong love of wrestling for me, and maybe it was at the tail end of my bro's infatuation with wrestling. During the 4 and a half hour drive back home to LA, which seemed like FOREVER, I could NOT wait to play it. Imagine just looking at the box and reading the instruction manual for 4-5 hours in your dad's van, just waiting to finally play. When we finally got home, my bro put in QB Club '96 first. That was fun, but I was waiting to FINALLY play Wrestlemania. He finally turned off QB Club and put in Wrestlemania. But when he did, and turned it on to play it, it didn't work! Screen just stayed black! Tried for hours and of course we didn't know anything about refunds and my dad wasn't about to drive us back to Vegas to return it lol. A few months later, my big cousin stayed at the house for a few weeks and said he could fix it by doing some "magic." He put the cartridge in between his palms and rubbed it and blew inside the cartridge among other things and said to the cartridge, "work." He put it into the Sega Genesis and turned it on... and IT ACTUALLY WORKED! Now the only thing was we could only choose Bret Hart and Razor Ramon. If we tried to choose anyone else the game would freeze lol, even if I tried to recreate the "magic" my cousin did to make it work. But we were thankful that the game actually worked to some extent, and my big brother, big sister and I had fun playing as Bret and Razor. Sometimes, I occasionally come back to watch videos like this to imagine how my playing experience would have been if I had been able to play as the other wrestlers. Seeing these videos in some way makes me feel less deprived and undoes some of the trauma I experienced with the huge disappointment of missing out on being able to fully enjoy the game as a kid. I'm thankful for that.
I feel u, I still got the genesis version and the PS1 version today. And a goofy movie was the business when we was kids, I use to know damn near every line to that movie, man I wore that tape out😄😅😀😁👊🏽😎
I got this game for Christmas in '95 on the SNES. I hate that Bam Bam and Yoko were not included in that version but I spent countless hours as Razor or Shawn. Great upload!
The reason why both Bam Bam Bigelow and Yokozuna got cut from the Super NES port was due to Nintendo's censorship at the time. Nintendo won't allow Midway to release the Super NES version unless Bam Bam Bigelow and Yokozuna are altered to be less menacing, to not had to deal with Nintendo's bs censorship Midway simply choose to not include both Bam Bam Bigelow and Yokozuna in the Super NES version thus making it the most inferior port of all the ports.
