What needs to happen is turning Cata classic into Classic+. All new content going forward not re-releasing lukewarm expansions so that it just becomes retail 2. Making more servers to further fragment the player population just kills the game.
This depends a lot on personal taste, but I find even TBC lost something of the original vanilla charm - mainly in terms of the world and encounters with other players. Flying in the outlands means you just don't run into people on foot as much, which was always my favorite part of the game. Running around places like Silithus or Winterspring and duking it out with people trying to farm rep is something that just feels kind of gone after vanilla - it is still there to an extent, but not to the same degree. I think a lot of what changed after vanilla is the game became increasingly impersonal, and that was one of the first steps down that road.
TBC needs to be released as a rotational progression server. I do think some quality of life changes such as graphics and character models could be implemented. Perhaps even some engine refreshments. But what makes TBC so fucking amazing is that it has the original wow vanilla design still. It also makes sense that it does. For those wondering: TBC has MANY features in it that were originally scheduled to be released in vanilla. But after almost 4-5 years of development, Blizzard was about to go bankrupt if they did not release. So timetables were moved around and content had to be putten on ice before the game would never see light of day. Karazhan for example, was in original wow. But it was a more medieval setting and far from finished. Outland also had some mushroom type landscape. Eventually they scrapped this from Hellfire Peninsula. Of course we know some of the idea's were eventually brought back. The Mushrooms did make it into Zangarmarsh. There were so many things that were originally ment for Vanilla but didn't make it into the game. TBC was polished out and the content that was put on ice was brought out in TBC along with many additional features and content. except for some additional spells and ability's... nothing major was changed to the game design and its character/classes. This is why TBC FEELS like it is a prolongation of Vanilla. It is basically at its core, Vanilla... but expanded upon :D
I wont come back until they add at least 1 permenant wrath and/or 1 permenant tbc server. I don't care which one, both were the height of my childhood and I love and adore both. I loved classic when it came out but TBC was just classic+ for me and wrath was the best, I am so sad it ended, I tried doing sod but quit just after hitting the level cap.
This, i was hooked on classic/classic era played all the way up till they released cata classic. impo, im burned out from old content lol i think alot of the issue is people just dont wanna move on and realize wow isnt what it used to be, if you wanna play on a server dedicated to one Expac, go play on a private server, expecting blizzard to spend money to cater to a certain small demographic of their community is unrealistic and stupid lol
I really miss tbc. has anybody else tried the felmyst private server? no addons but also no real money trading of any kind and boosting for gold isn't allowed. so far the people have been super nice and friendly which has honestly been a nice change from warmane's culture.
I played private servers when i was younger and will never return lol PirateSoftware did a take on this where he said he'll never put time and effort into a server that at any moment can be shut down by blizzard, theres no guarentee that your work and progress is gonna be there the next day especially if blizzard decides they wanna shut it down

I have had such an amazing time in Season of Discovery from the beginning, I sincerely hope Blizzard continues this amazing version of their game into TBC (ofcourse my favourite expansion as a warlock main, brrrrr goes SEED SEED SEED ZUG ZUG) and it would be amazing to see how they could refine the best expansion ever released (and the first) :D
What TBC fresh actually needs: -Dual spec, no brainer. There's literally no reason not to include it. Paying 100g when I wanted to either pvp or farm on my paladin (50g to swap specs, 50g to go back to raiding spec) was balls. -Account wide attunements is an idea I have mixed feelings with, maybe have all your alts automatically attuned, but they don't have the keys automatically, so there's still the need for someone to be attuned in order to enter the raid. -HONORED for heroics instead of revered, from the start. Forcing the farm to revered sucks, specially if you don't have account wide attunements. Make having an alt in tbc viable. -Seal of Martyr/Blood and Vengeance/Corruption available for both factions. This was already done in tbc classic and was fantastic, no one should be forced into another faction in order to play their character how they like. Plus, there's a huge dps difference for sealtwisting pallies with seal of blood. Warmane Onyxia WON'T have this feature because tHeY wAnT tO kEeP iT jUsT LiKe tHe oRiGiNaL (even tho they have pay to win features lol), so I'm not interested in that. And nothing else. I wouldn't remove flying because outland is built based on the fact that you can fly, zones like Blade's Edge and Netherstorme would be total garbo without flying. Maybe have a 1m debuff on dismount where you can't be pvp flagged or something to avoid ppl abusing flying to gank on peeps, but idk. NO EXP BOOSTS AND NO PAID BOOSTS EITHER BECAUSE BOTS LOVE THAT SHIT.
TBC FOREVER, TBC WARRIORS UNITE! Triple spec and win! After watching full video I agree with all these suggestions. But triple spec is a must. Pve spec X2 and 1 pvp spec is ultimate way to play.
Or. . they will release Classic +. A revamped classic experience with some more likely than not sight class tuning. which would also include Outland and all of the originally planned content because it was supposed to be in the original version of vanilla
Interesting you start this video with a picture of a graph of SoD population in which you stopped the date range before p4 came out and there was a large resurgence in the player numbers. Did the fact the numbers have gone up by several orders of magnitude since p3 not play into your narrative too well?
I signed the petition, but I’d just be happy with a fresh server. Wouldn’t say no to easier attunement, would definitely make the alt-game stronger for sure.
My favorite thing about SoD was 1. Do the new event day one for 50x fhe reward because its over tuned then nerfed to give 1/50th the reward. Or 2, wait for blizzard to add "catch up" mechanics 6 week in to a patch that lasts 16 weeks.
I like all your ideas MG ... I very personally would like for mages "increase mana regen" - Ive played through TBC twice and after I have worked like a dog to get attune/farm/BiS and organize my life for a raid night, if I get stuck raiding without mana support the whole raid night is a total drag. I like being paper thin, aggro intense, no healing ... I can no longer do TBC mana starved.
So, how does a new player experience base 2004 WoW story plus all expansion stories from one to the next? I'm aware some quests have been removed, etc. But in terms of just story: Can I make a lvl 1 character, and go through it all?
Classic community doesn’t even know what it wants anymore lol. The community is so divided even if Blizzard released this TBC server or Classic plus, with RuneScape voting system, people would still say they messed it up. I feel like what they really want at the end of the day is Vanilla on repeat every year or two, and to be 14 again.
I'm sorry but your take on this is WAY OFF! Blizzard deliberately tanked SOD. Why? Simple, they had a retail expansion coming and couldn't afford to have it flop. Just compare their approach in SOD from Phase 1 to Phase 3, it will tell you ALL you need to know. Blizzard knows that with this 20 year old game, they have a captive audience which swishes around between game versions, so they tilt the bowl in the direction they want their player base to go and with the help of content creators pushing along, the player base obliges them. No big mystery and this will continue until someone figures out how to make an actual MMO or everyone just gives up on the genre all together because it's a very limited player base.
i was with you till you said MMO'S all together as a genre has a limited playerbase lol For example, Classic SOD has around 20k people on Crusader Strike US, and that's just one realm lol with multiple servers on retail having 20k plus as well, and that's only mentioning WOW lol Yes i agree that the retail expac might've affected SOD, but to say the genre has a "very limited" playerbase is just laughable as if there arent hundreds of thousands of people playing MMO's that aren't wow lol
@@Sippinskooma The problem with your take is math. You think 20k players is a lot, it isn't. The reason it isn't is because MMOs take a ton of money to develop. How would you like to own New World right about now? 150+ mil down the drain, not that Amazon can't afford it but you get my point. WoW retail is the cash cow: xpacs, cash shop, etc.. The classic player base contributes the monthly sub and that's only assuming they don't play retail. Any time you really want to understand something, just get a calculator out, it explains everything without the shaping, framing, positioning or packaging.
@@JohnSmith-ry8tj my comment and the mention of playerbase was mainly pertaining to one server tho, 20k is alot for a single server, with multiple servers on the game reaching the same playercount. Not only pertaining to retail. With a few Cata classic realms eclipsing the same numbers. if you look at it like that, yea of course 20k isnt alot, but if you look at it as 20k players on 4 servers, Thats 80k people split between 4 servers, which is alot of people imo lol
my idea for the classic world vanilla/tbc/wrath Wrath client. Wrath talents. Locked at 60 till you complete vanilla. Have it full progressive. You have to complete MC doing MC gives the key for zg and bwl. Clearing zg gives a key fragment and same for bwl which opens aq 20/40. Clraring those gives the key for naxx. Clearing naxx gives the key for karazhan or a fragment of it and it opens the he dark portal. Etc etc. Give solo queue arena and for 60 have standard points and buying items with points.
How could you progress Naxx 40 in a wrath client? It will already be on the WoTLK version, unless dev time is spended to have both at the same time wich would probably be a headache. The second issue with that is you can't enjoy this unless you play regularly from the start. If you don't jump on the bus or fall off you will be too far behind for the vanilla content or TBC content mattering because the top guilds are already on Naxxramas Wotlk or Ulduar.
@@itachiaurion3198 yes of course that's a challenge but it's far from impossible as I know for sure that P Servers have done it. It's just an idea as well 🤩
TBC is my favourite expansion, but the War Within is outstanding! And may finish off Classic as a whole if the War Within keeps getting better. I love Classic but don't play it these days because of how good the War Within is.
When I started playing WoW back in 2009 I was told TBC was a bad expansion. Once TBC Classic came out I realized that it's the best expansion WoW ever had. But one there's two changes I would like to see for a new TBC experience. First would be to bring a Plate specialization type thing to make it so that as a Ret, I won't have to roll on leather anymore. And second I don't want flying mounts. From a PvE player's perspective that would be a dumb thing to do, but from a PvP player's perspective it would bring back a huge boost to WPvP and just more player interaction's in general. Everyone complains about retail and how the game has been dumbed down, no social aspect, etc. Well flying mounts is the one thing that vanilla never had and players keep going back to. One last thing is no flying mounts would make Outlands feel like a much bigger world.
only thing I care about is allow us to duel wield dragonstrike like in original . I liked hyjal, but I always wonder what they could do to make it better so other people wouldn't hate running it
Most of those ideas are great, only one “but”… It’s Activision we are talking about here. You probably will have a bigger chance to succeed by sending it in a letter to Santa on December!
I see two viable options: 1. Vanilla > TBC > Wrath on 3 year cycles 2. TBC era with an accompanying seasonal server after the first year. At the end of each season, your characters get transferred to era and a new fresh would launch. The same would apply with the Wrath client, but I would stagger the launch and content releases so that players can play both so the players won't be overwhelmed with content from both at the same time while also not suffering through a drought between phases. Also, implement the ability to copy your characters from classic era to TBC and from TBC to Wrath and even classic to Wrath. In both options I would like to see dual spec as well as shared reputation between characters on a single account. Grinding out reputation from ground zero on every alt is stupid as f*ck and nobody enjoys it. One of the reasons people didn't like TBC was because it was inherently grind heavy. Common sense QoL changes like dual spec and shared reputation for alts would be a sensible addition that I believe would encourage some of the TBC haters to look favorably upon the expansion. I prefer option 1 because I think it is healthy to have separation. 'Absence makes the heart grow fonder, familiarity breeds contempt' is a phrase that I believe applies, at least for me, in this scenario. But everyone is different, and I don't think forcing that view onto other players is the right thing to do. I would honestly be happy with either one!
The World of Warcraft experience is the journey from Vanilla to WOTLK. You think you want permanent TBC era servers but you really don’t. Proof is that Vanilla serv are almost dead atm. People get bored. What Bli2 should do is resetting classic after the end of WOTLK. Making classic wow a permanent Vanilla - Wotlk loop. This my friends, is the way. I hope Bli2 will finally understand that it would also be the infinite money glitch 💰
if you can get rid of your prejudice there is a vanilla pserver that is in its last phase and will transition into tbc in the coming months ive been playing it since it launched last year, yea it goes through phases very quickly which is perfect for my style of playing, i have been having a ton of fun in it. Doesnt really bother me if you join or not just putting it out there ;)
i disaggree on the summon inside idea caz it will take out the immersion and impact aspect of the game raids location will look empty and this does not feel tbc classic. it would be nice tho to have 2 talent trees one classic tbc talent tree and one retail for runes and new spell that u learn each one every 10 or 15 levels for example!!so a talent tree and a rune tree or mastery tree
Okay, I have kind of a general question- I honestly never did much end game in Classic/Era mostly just leveled then made an alt and leveled again very casually. When they EVENTUALLY do some sort of fresh start- whether it's Classic/TBC/Hardcore I want to go all in. Should I start getting some practice in now on either Era or maybe this TBC Private server? Thanks for any feedback.

I wouldnt mind if the server rotate between tbc and wotlk and resets. @@migue.0 you do ignore the rest of the response of how many areas are locked out due to flying. What would be a suggestion for the rest?
@@brandoncastellano1858 Either add flight paths to those spots or modify the terrain so those zones are accessible by foot (this sounds harder than it actually is).
You could even have npcs / portals that teleport you to some of these zones in the same way you can teleport to the Kazzak area from the Isle of Quel'Danas with that one quest.
Classic & SoD cured me from any nostalgia/enjoyment i had for old WoW versions
I'm going on cooldown.
This, i was hooked on classic/classic era
played all the way up till they released cata classic.
impo, im burned out from old content lol
i think alot of the issue is people just dont wanna move on and realize wow isnt what it used to be, if you wanna play on a server dedicated to one Expac, go play on a private server, expecting blizzard to spend money to cater to a certain small demographic of their community is unrealistic and stupid lol
new TBC server with everyone starting at lvl 1 sounds like a dream no double XP no boost just raw dawg
Nothing was ever better than TBC
I really miss tbc. has anybody else tried the felmyst private server? no addons but also no real money trading of any kind and boosting for gold isn't allowed. so far the people have been super nice and friendly which has honestly been a nice change from warmane's culture.
I played private servers when i was younger and will never return lol
PirateSoftware did a take on this where he said he'll never put time and effort into a server that at any moment can be shut down by blizzard, theres no guarentee that your work and progress is gonna be there the next day especially if blizzard decides they wanna shut it down
Would love a TBC fresh with account wide-attunements, xp and rep buffs and group buffs becoming raid wide with bloodlust reset
Ah here we go again the TBC thirst that occurs every few years, then you get TBC, then you play it some, then you forget about it for a few years
I think people are realizing they took TBC for granted after thirsting over the nostalgia of WOTLK... and now have woken up to the fact that WOTLK was the beginning of the end
@@oiyecant720 This has been the cycle ever since tbc was on retail except with private servers now it's happening on retail
Just signed, only so many Eversong Woods ASMR play throughs I can watch before going crazy that I'm not doing it myself.
Just an off thought, they could even do 1 sever with a war mode type feature, for all the pvpers out there.
Thanks for what you do!
Signed! I think a lot of people took classic TBC for granted due to the nostalgia of WOTLK... But TBC really was the last golden Era of the game since it was pre-heirloom, and I believe a lot of people have now realized that; myself included.
love it!! TBC hype
Id love for them to fix the attunement stuff, raid wide lust, and once you get max level your alts get joyous journeys
Just started up on deviate delight in the “fresh” guilds - seems pretty solid so far.
explain what that is, bc im looking for my wow version to play
@@emceehamma3693 deviate delight is a classic era realm, where, 3 months ago, streamers started a community driver classic fresh. They can do so because it’s an RPPPVP server, with no auction house link across realms, and there were like 10 active players, so fairly fresh economy. The streamers haven’t logged on in like a month cuz hype chasing bht there’s a solid levelling pop and it feels cozy so far.
I'd resub for a fresh TBC server with phased content. Something like SoD without all the crazy power infused runes.
Tbc is the best classic expansion imo. I’d love to see tbc server with raid wide bloodlust
Stacking bloodlust in a comp group was the best part of tbc - I remember blasting brutallus on my bm hunter getting two lusts
People please take the 1 minute to sign the petition, thank you! Make TBC great again!
We need TBC back, absolutely. I've seen more outcry for them the past months.
IMO Classic + should use the talents and mechanic changes of TBC as a jumping off point too.
As long as there is no level boost this time around, i am in.
Atunement are necessary for an era server (including an extra atunement for sunwell to avoid sw trash mob raid run).
Currently getting ready for Onyxia TBC 👊
If they did Season of Discovery type thing but TBC, I'd play it!
Endless wow had so much potential to be the best TBC private epxerience and I don't know why people left, it is so sad :(
What TBC fresh actually needs:
-Dual spec, no brainer.
Share the petition link in your discords and with friends! Lets make this happen!
Oblivion is such a vibe game
men playing tbc another time with a less toxic guild would be amazing
Warmane is about the least sketchy private server and is about to launch TBC with some QOL improvements
tbc rez up would be simply Perfection
TBC FOREVER, TBC WARRIORS UNITE! Triple spec and win!
After watching full video I agree with all these suggestions. But triple spec is a must. Pve spec X2 and 1 pvp spec is ultimate way to play.
You anit slick, I hear that Skyrim: Dovahkin track
Or. . they will release Classic +. A revamped classic experience with some more likely than not sight class tuning. which would also include Outland and all of the originally planned content because it was supposed to be in the original version of vanilla
I haven’t seen many classic players that love the leveling experience. Most got boosted from a mage pulling full dungeons.
nobody loves leveling alts on the classic leveling experience lol
I think classic plus is going to be announced this winter with sod wrapping up soon
This only works if we decide we are okay with it not being TBC, and just an expansion based on the TBC expansion
Temporary servers remove any drive I have to progress. It's just integrating FOMO into the base game experience.
So, how does a new player experience base 2004 WoW story plus all expansion stories from one to the next? I'm aware some quests have been removed, etc. But in terms of just story: Can I make a lvl 1 character, and go through it all?
Should’ve put the call to action about the petition at the start of the video too!
TBC HARDCORE

Classic community doesn’t even know what it wants anymore lol. The community is so divided even if Blizzard released this TBC server or Classic plus, with RuneScape voting system, people would still say they messed it up. I feel like what they really want at the end of the day is Vanilla on repeat every year or two, and to be 14 again.
I LOOOOOOOVE TBC
I'm sorry but your take on this is WAY OFF! Blizzard deliberately tanked SOD. Why? Simple, they had a retail expansion coming and couldn't afford to have it flop. Just compare their approach in SOD from Phase 1 to Phase 3, it will tell you ALL you need to know. Blizzard knows that with this 20 year old game, they have a captive audience which swishes around between game versions, so they tilt the bowl in the direction they want their player base to go and with the help of content creators pushing along, the player base obliges them. No big mystery and this will continue until someone figures out how to make an actual MMO or everyone just gives up on the genre all together because it's a very limited player base.
i was with you till you said MMO'S all together as a genre has a limited playerbase lol
For example, Classic SOD has around 20k people on Crusader Strike US, and that's just one realm lol with multiple servers on retail having 20k plus as well, and that's only mentioning WOW lol
Yes i agree that the retail expac might've affected SOD, but to say the genre has a "very limited" playerbase is just laughable as if there arent hundreds of thousands of people playing MMO's that aren't wow lol
TBC was my favorite
my idea for the classic world vanilla/tbc/wrath
Wrath client.
It's just an idea as well 🤩
"Before it's too late"...for WHAT...?
any expansion where Warrior is top dps and the best tank has my vote!
playing wow with GW2 interface is diabolical
Sign the petition guys
TBC is my favourite expansion, but the War Within is outstanding! And may finish off Classic as a whole if the War Within keeps getting better.
I love Classic but don't play it these days because of how good the War Within is.
I hope Blizzard is watching
"I play a vanilla server on a wotlk client" It's warmane huh B) Tbc prepatch came out yesterday for onyxia.
The server is Warmane - realm Onyxia
Let it go nerds. Let it go....
Good luck finding enough Shamans to stack your groups for Bloodlust, it was toxic as hell getting enough to satiate players.
Those that don’t wish to be ganked can go to PVE realms
only thing I care about is allow us to duel wield dragonstrike like in original . I liked hyjal, but I always wonder what they could do to make it better so other people wouldn't hate running it
Most of those ideas are great, only one “but”… It’s Activision we are talking about here.
You probably will have a bigger chance to succeed by sending it in a letter to Santa on December!
I see two viable options:
1. Vanilla > TBC > Wrath on 3 year cycles
Option 1 would keep me invested permanently.... Just sayin...
Im also for Option 1, but with like 3-4 month per phase or so.
I agree with option 1. I would literally never stop playing. As long as at the end of the cycle the characters are wiped and servers are fresh
@@OBudful 100% true
if you can get rid of your prejudice there is a vanilla pserver that is in its last phase and will transition into tbc in the coming months ive been playing it since it launched last year, yea it goes through phases very quickly which is perfect for my style of playing, i have been having a ton of fun in it. Doesnt really bother me if you join or not just putting it out there ;)

@@xmoxipavonispetinus8539 some dont some do
i disaggree on the summon inside idea caz it will take out the immersion and impact aspect of the game raids location will look empty and this does not feel tbc classic. it would be nice tho to have 2 talent trees one classic tbc talent tree and one retail for runes and new spell that u learn each one every 10 or 15 levels for example!!so a talent tree and a rune tree or mastery tree
TBC era. tnx
Okay, I have kind of a general question-
I honestly never did much end game in Classic/Era
mostly just leveled then made an alt and leveled again very casually.
When they EVENTUALLY do some sort of fresh start- whether it's Classic/TBC/Hardcore I want to go all in. Should I start getting some practice in now on either Era or maybe this TBC Private server? Thanks for any feedback.
We need fresh and permanent tbc server
Low lvl pvp backets where the best, you’d have no try hard just people geared through questing and dungeons. Occasionally you’ll have twink, but that’s the best. Now days everyone races to end game there’s no que’s
signed! but, is it a pipedream? wish we had perma tbc, its my fav expansion (by far), but i really doubt it will happen. Blizz dont think like gamers, they think like businessmen, and TBC "may" increase subs initially, but it will die out naturally. Saying that, i REALLY hope they bring TBC servers out to the public.
I wouldnt mind if the server rotate between tbc and wotlk and resets. But if the server would be only tbc era gdkps would have to be banned because of inflation within a few months and the sever would be dead because there is noway new player would like to join the server where everything cost tons of gold
Cata classic was the end of WoW for me, I’m back on classic. I love the leveling, the difficulty, give me a proper classic plus or just TBC.
Classic Classic TBC fresh when ?!?
5:34 Based.
1000 votes for a TBC classic server isn't even remotely enough to catch Blizzard's interest.
