Used to go there in the early eighties Bowling night with Jerry And all his friends are there Jerry plays what he wants cause it’s bowling night the fans holding on to each and every strike/ note Best place I ever saw the Captain Wore out my Stone SF tapes years ago Thanks for sharing ❤️😍🎯💯
My 1st SF Jerry Garcia Band performance. I Arrived from Boston after stopping for the July Ventura GD shows, which were my 1st CA Dead shows, quite and end to July!!!! ✌️
Just the greatest. Thanks for the upload. Jerry at his peak. Sounds amazing. Jerry shows were often better than Dead shows for a lot of the 80s. His covers were better, the solos were longer and more frequent, they were more dynamic, and the crowd was more chill. It became even more pronounced in the 90s after Brent died but Jer still had Melvin. Also, didn't have to listen to 3 1/2 minute BS like "Big River" and "Mama Tried". I think he enjoyed them more himself. What more could a deadhead want but more Jerry! When he did do Dead tunes in his show, they were as good or better than when the Dead played them. If Jerry had been playing all of his Dead songs solo without the Dead, they would have been just as great or better. Folks who missed him with JGB definitely missed the phenomenon of Garcia unleashed.
What a great show. Vintage JGB. Thanks for sharing :)

I just wish Jerry’s guitar was a bit more up front in the mix
