About Location:
The Batujaya site is a unique site which is administratively located in Segaran Village, Batujaya District and Telagajaya Village, Pakisjaya District, Karawang Regency, West Java Province. Some people refer to this site as an enshrinement site because it consists of a collection of temples scattered at several points. The location of this temple was formerly a lake, where the temple was built on the edge of the lake. It is also indicated by the names of the existing villages, namely Segaran and Telagajaya, which means sea or pond, like lake in Sanskrit.
Based on the results of research that has been carried out at this site, archaeological objects were found around mounds of earth in the middle of rice fields. Since the beginning of the research until 2013, 39 remains of ancient buildings have been found, most of which are part of the temple structure. The remains of these buildings are divided into two groups, according to their location, namely in Segaran Village and Telagajaya Village.
The Batujaya site was first investigated by the archaeological team of the Faculty of Literature, University of Indonesia (now called the Faculty of Cultural Sciences) in 1984. In 1989, Ditlinbinjarah in collaboration with the National Survey and Mapping Coordinating Board, the Faculty of Geography, Gadjah Mada University, and Tarumanagara University conducted research at the site. this. In 1992, the Archaeological Division of the National Archaeological Research Center examined the Batujaya area to find out about its geological, archaeological, geomorphological, and hydrological environment. In September 1992, the Division of Classical Archeology of the National Archaeological Research Center conducted a study to determine the distribution pattern of the site and carried out excavations at the Segaran IV and IX sites.
Meanwhile, the Segaran V site or commonly known as Candi Blandongan, specifically began to be investigated since 1993. Excavations carried out by the National Archaeological Research Center succeeded in revealing the foot of the building on the northwest side. In 1995, research continued and succeeded in revealing the structure of the building along 21.6 m and 9 steps. In 1996, the northeast and southeast sides of Blandongan Temple were successfully seen.
The wide and varied findings at the Batujaya site make it a research area for research, both for researchers from within and outside the country. In mid-2004, a joint research was conducted between the Assistant Deputy for National Archaeological Affairs and the Ecole Francaise d'Extreme-Orient at the Batujaya site.

Aku capek bikin channel buka situs candi2 yg belum dikenal oleh publik dan bpcb Jateng, khususnya situs2 bekas candi Hindu Siwa di desaku yg eks kompleks candi pd abad ke 8 ( desaku menurut arkeolog Gunawan Sambodo, berdiri pd 881 M ).
Masih ada 2 situs candi yg terpendam. Dan 1 masih rancu, tp dlm hipotesis ku adalah " ada ". Candi2 terpendam itu adalah candi Sudut dan Perwara Wisnu.
Candi terpendam yg ukuran 2x lipat bangunan candi Borobudur ada di Kajangkoso, kec. nDukun, Magelang.
Selamat berjuang, semoga situs2 cagar budaya terselamatkan.

Lha coba bayangke saja, sejak 2017 lho kuperjuangkan pelestarian situs2 bebatuan sisa bangunan candi, lingga dan yoni, petirtaan, pagar candi, dan artefak2 tp mana dukungan desaku? Ndak ada. Bahkan batu kulumpang yg eks guci abu kremasi pun masih beberapa tersisa, dan yoni buat manusuk sima atau peresmian wanua jd sima jg masih ada, tp toh warga lebih semangat menjual.
Di Magelang, domisiliku yg deket candi Borobudur pun ternyata banyak situs yg raib.
