@StudioRV8 when you're first turning them on or right before they start playing any music, you'll hear a static like sound. It's not so bad if you're listening to music, but if you're listening to a podcast in a quite place it's pretty noticeable

Thanks for the review! I was on the fence about these ear buds-I love my various Bose products but the price for these for what they deliver just didn't seem to add up. Now I know I won't be buying them 👍
Please do a comparison review between these and the Huawei Freeclip. They're better than these in just about every objective criteria, and they're only about 60% of the price. Might be hard to get you hands on a pair if you live in the US though. They do work with all phones, not just Huawei. But you do need to go the apk route to get the Huawei AI app if you don't have the Huawei app store.
Great review. Only last week, I saw a pair of earbuds like this from Huawei. They wrap around the ear and are shaped so oddly, I didn't at first know how to wear them. Only took a sec. Anyway, they're neat, though I ended up going with a pair of Huawei pro earbuds, because the sound quality is so good.

I knock them out of my ear just changing volume. I love hearing that these Bose ones grip well but I’m concerned on volume controls
The reason companies like Bose are so arrogant with ripping us off is because you have that type of consumer that welcomes them to do so. Why gate-keep what someone should "understand" when they spend their hard-earned money on something? It's ironic to call Bose and what they do "world class"...only to bow to the bare minimum they sell you. These are $300 open earbuds with less features than standard earbuds and even their own QC II and QC Ultra earbuds...as they lack wireless charging and multi-point connectivity...despite the 1st generation of that headset HAVING wireless charging. These earbuds are $300, people...and Bose isn't your mother that you need to protect from someone picking on her. Defending being ripped off is stupid.
They're terrible... I bought a pair, the worked OK the first time I used them, then the right bud wouldn't charge. Then I wasted almost 2 hours chatting with Bose customer service with no satisfactory outcome. Avoid Bose products.
This just has to be said. $300 for disposable electronics whose battery will basically last 2-3 yrs MAX before degrading past an annoying threshold (like losing 30-50% capacity) is just TOO MUCH!! $300 for less than 3yrs of usefulness is ridiculous. Sure cellphones are expensive & degrade too, but they sport 5,000+ mAh cells and therefore have enough headroom to lose capacity over their USEFUL lifespan (h/w & s/w). And cellphone batteries can be factory serviced unlike earbud batteries. But the literal "coin cell" batteries used earbuds are like 50-80 mAh and DON'T possess the headroom to lose ANY capacity w/o being noticeable. If you're only dropping $79-$200 for earbuds, then the tradeoff is more acceptable on a 'Cost per Year' basis. But at a cost of OVER $100/yr for JUST mediocre audio??? Nah! No way dude!
They are not for me brother, No Bass,No Mids, a little bit of treble and the surround sound is horrendous. I Love Bose’s stereo equipment and accessories but these earbuds were not made for someone who likes to hear clear, crisp Bass.
Bose products have always been overpriced when we look at what they tend to offer. The price to product ratio is always a 4 or 5 /10 . Never justifying the price. Thats just me
There are a lot of good points here. One thing people miss is that they are glasses friendly. I've tried over the ear styles before, but they just hurt after a while with my glasses on, its one of the reasons I've stuck to a horseshoe desighn for a long time now. These will probably be my next pick-up even with the negatives, so I'll post back here in half a year on my thoughts.
I think they are great and by no means do I think they came up short. I have both the in ear Bose Ultra Quietcomfort and the Open ear, I love them both. I have tried other open earbuds and these by FAR blow away the others I have tried. I tried at least 5 other high end open earbuds and they did come up short. The Bose Open Ear hit the mark perfectly for me and maybe a little expensive but I rather pay the $300 than pay $175 for another brand that suck. If I want noise cancelling and very quiet I use the in ear Bose, if I want to hear my surroundings which is the majority of the time the Bose Open Ear are great. Yes as I said maybe a little expensive but for what they give me I dont mind paying the $300 but Im sure others would mind. These are really nice open ear buds if you’re looking for open ear. And I would like to add these are the most comfortable earbuds I have EVER used either in ear or open ear. These are almost too comfortable because I honestly forget they are in my ears.
@@sunrisetacticalgear2676 yeah, good idea, I hope its worth the wait. They really are nice for open ear buds. I wish they Included the wireless charging. I spent another $50 on the wireless charging case. Yes, it is expensive but I have many reasons for wanting the earbuds from Bose and they are very comfortable. But you need to be very careful. They are so comfortable if one gets knocked out of your ear by your seatbelt or something you don’t even realize it came off so be careful if you get them.
Thank you, just what I needed to feel good about buying these! I hate headphones in my ears, and sound is good and all but I just want something comfortable and if I need "more" music or sound I have other over the head headphones that work as well, but not with glasses which is why I also like these
I agree on the price, but I'm sure it will come down soon after launch. I bought them for the way they sit in your ears. I am a big fan of the open style (I can't keep anything IN my ear for long periods) and have two pairs of oladance (home and work) for that reason. However, the oladance can sometimes be a chore to wear when I have on glasses. For me, that is the problem these solve. I'll probably keep using my oladance when I put in contacts but on glasses days these are it.
I have tried these and they are extremely comfortable. You can't feel them in your ears; and the sound was surprisingly good for an open style earbud. Very good. And being able to get music to sound good without having to endlessly fiddle with the fit, like other earbuds, is definitely, definitely convenient. Earbuds of any type that cost more than $300 can't justify that price, sound wise. The amount of control you can exercise directly from the earbud without having to go to the app is definitely a plus. I feel that these are $300. because people who like Bose will pay that money. And the product is definitely attractive, even if you don't like the company. The price of these will drop down as soon as they come up with another iteration of the open earbud and after they've been out for a while. If these cost $250, I don't believe anyone would blink.
I really like your non hype reviews. I was interested in these as a runner and the safety nature of open ear earbuds. You addressed my concerns about ipx rating for sweat. I own the shokz open fit which I really like for running.
These are perfect especially if you don’t like something shoved in your ear and are very comfortable. I would give the audio 7/10 with little to no base.
I just bought these yesrerday and i will say they shouldnt be 300.00. One thing that is big is the placement of the earbuds. If you place them in the lower part of your ear, you will definitely have a fuller sound and the call quality will be better for the person you are talking to, because the placements of the mic. The more I use these the more I'm liking them. I have quite a few open earbuds from the Tozo's, 1more, Soundpeats, and the Shokz. I do like the Shokz the best, but the Bose do sound good, if you place them in the lower part of your ear and they are very comfortable. They are supposed to be getting multipoint in a future update, but for now you can set a shortcut to switch to multiple devices.
I have been using these earbuds for 3 days and they sound great for a non-noise cancelling pair of buds. I do not feel them in my ears so if you like listening to your tunes for long periods of time you will enjoy them. I f you can have two pairs of earbuds, one noise cancelling and these then you are fully set.
I love them. I can wear all day and I forget they are there. Also you can put headphones over them and you get both options for gaming and still have connection to phone. Just a great all purpose solution.
In this case Bose is more like the one who’s being copycat. Huawei released Freeclips for 2 months already, with new customized 10.8mm dynamic driver and wireless charging. Bose put the same driver they used on QC ultra earbuds in this crap without ANC and wireless charging then selling at the same price, released on the start of this month. Now you tell me who is the copycat here
like the other commenters said, i can appreciate a non eccentric, over-the-top, "sell me your channel", quality review. Most of the time, I take a content creator's opinion with a grain of salt, but your review covered all the bases, was thoughtfully put together, and gave some pros and cons. much appreciated
There are plenty of ear clip style headphones on the market. Bose is not the first company that has this design. Bose is tripping on the price. Someone in the marketing and finance department must of had to much wine when they decided to price these headphones. No multipoint connection, wireless charging, in ear detection, etc. I’m not purchasing these headphones at $300.00. These headphones will be a flop just like the last open ear headphones they launched several years ago👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
Great video! I have been rocking Bose frames glasses for I don’t know how long….until now! Altos and sopranos, i have my prescription lenses in them and I have to say Bose has a great warranty program that has been replacing my glasses until now. They have discontinued the glasses and they’ve offered me THESE as a warranty replacement. I should be receiving them any from Bose in the day now. I am gutted they stopped making the glasses, I like listening to music allot and like to able to talk to my crane operator as well as hear what’s going on around me so these should be pretty groovy! I think you’re right though I don’t wanna pay no CAD$400 for it. I’d pay a hun
They are expensive for sure, but the fit and comfort of these cannot be understated. Over the ear units fall off, and need to be adjusted regularly and these stay put and cause zero pain. That alone is worth the money to me.
Thanks for a great objective review! I've purchased many Bose speakers and headphones over the years and am frankly disappointed with their quality of late, especially given the price. Guess I'll keep looking.
Many new products start off like this, not all, but in the end cost is driven by demand. I purchased the Ultra and I personally love ❤them for when I travel. So, for a person like me who likes to be aware of my surroundings, it works (extravert). For those who like to be closed off, it may not be for them. Although there are lower cost options, the one thing the Ultra has going for it is the lack of ear fatigue, which is the opposite of what the other options gives its users. 😮
I was almost excited when I saw an ad for them since my ear is shaped perfectly so that literally every EarPod just falls out no matter what I do but paying $300 for it is insane for what has to be like 15 dollars of materials
I’m usually very careful and picky with my tech, and your review was one of the few that were objective. These looke like a solid option from a reputable brand, but I’m extremely disappointed. Unless you’re in a perfectly quiet room, these just don’t live up to the brand’s usual standard. The comfort isn’t great compared to over-ears, the Bluetooth connection is unreliable and clunky, and the sound quality is abysmal compared to other options. When below 40% volume, the sound is decent-but , only if you're in a quiet environment and I have to disagree with you on the sound being 'OK.' For $450 in Australia, they’re far from OK. To make matters worse, Bose customer service was no help when I tried to exchange them. I expected better from such a reputable company, but this experience has been frustrating from start to finish. Thank you

Yo just got a pair, did the high noise floor on the buds not bother you? It's pretty annoying to me
What’s a high noise floor. Mine sound amazing.
@StudioRV8 when you're first turning them on or right before they start playing any music, you'll hear a static like sound.
It's not so bad if you're listening to music, but if you're listening to a podcast in a quite place it's pretty noticeable
@@brianmathis5423 Something seems wrong. Mine don’t do that at all. I did update my firmware before I started to use them. I understand that addressed microphone and connection issues. I did that through the app.
Thanks for the review! I was on the fence about these ear buds-I love my various Bose products but the price for these for what they deliver just didn't seem to add up. Now I know I won't be buying them 👍
Hi there, can please help me to test on wearing inside helmet?
Wanna know how its for motorcycle.. Whether it is hurting or smooth
The design is interesting but, like you say, the price is the problem.
Yeah I think the price is probably going to cover the R&D required to make this work. So you’re paying mainly for the design.
wish they had chatgpt integrated
Please do a comparison review between these and the Huawei Freeclip. They're better than these in just about every objective criteria, and they're only about 60% of the price.
Might be hard to get you hands on a pair if you live in the US though. They do work with all phones, not just Huawei. But you do need to go the apk route to get the Huawei AI app if you don't have the Huawei app store.
Yea Im in the US, so they'll be hard to get.
$300 is crazy! But that design is tuff too!😭. If they were like $150 then I would probably buy em
Facts
Great review. Only last week, I saw a pair of earbuds like this from Huawei. They wrap around the ear and are shaped so oddly, I didn't at first know how to wear them. Only took a sec.
Anyway, they're neat, though I ended up going with a pair of Huawei pro earbuds, because the sound quality is so good.
Bro can u also review Redmi buds 5 pro? Love ur content fr
Thank you. Ill have to see if i can get my hands on them.
@@CEONTHEMAKING yea thank u sm bro I hope u can get it I rly appreciate that
Any soundleak test with a condenser mic?
No
@@CEONTHEMAKING not sure what to do, I need a wired solution where I can hear my surroundings when I stream. The only open back earbuds are wireless. And I don’t want to use audio monitoring on my digital audio interface Uhg.
The price point is definitely to high look for them to probably go on sale very soon
Just ! No noise cancellation?!
What music service do you use
Epidemicsound
I HATE my AirPods 3. They fall out because they stray from the original shape which was molded based on the average shape from thousands of ears they are too stumpy for the slide controls. I knock them out of my ear just changing volume. I love hearing that these Bose ones grip well but I’m concerned on volume controls
6:00 That pricetag for that quality? Not a snowball's chance in hell.
Great video,
The reason companies like Bose are so arrogant with ripping us off is because you have that type of consumer that welcomes them to do so.
Are these better then airpods 3 ????
No
So what are the better brands then if these are overrated.y last Bose I owned were nothing but problems.
I really like the 1More Fit S50. They're kindve like a hybrid style earbud.
They're terrible... I bought a pair, the worked OK the first time I used them, then the right bud wouldn't charge. Then I wasted almost 2 hours chatting with Bose customer service with no satisfactory outcome. Avoid Bose products.
How old are you?
45
God the microphone is terrible. Im waiting til the version 2s
Agreed bro. Not the best choice for all around sound quality.
Wanna sell these
Why ???
Bose products have always been overpriced when we look at what they tend to offer. The price to product ratio is always a 4 or 5 /10 . Never justifying the price. Thats just me
You can't connect to the App to customize. Not worth the money. Here in sh--hole Canada they charge $400!
Yeah will never be buying those. I buy bose because they have noise canceling
Hundred bucks max
There are a lot of good points here. One thing people miss is that they are glasses friendly. I've tried over the ear styles before, but they just hurt after a while with my glasses on, its one of the reasons I've stuck to a horseshoe desighn for a long time now. These will probably be my next pick-up even with the negatives, so I'll post back here in half a year on my thoughts.
Did you like them ?
I think I’ll wait till they go on sale, to try them.
I hate headphones in my ears, and sound is good and all but I just want something comfortable and if I need "more" music or sound I have other over the head headphones that work as well, but not with glasses which is why I also like these
Hey! It’s been about 6 months said you commented. How’re they doing now?
I agree on the price, but I'm sure it will come down soon after launch. I bought them for the way they sit in your ears. I am a big fan of the open style (I can't keep anything IN my ear for long periods) and have two pairs of oladance (home and work) for that reason. However, the oladance can sometimes be a chore to wear when I have on glasses. For me, that is the problem these solve. I'll probably keep using my oladance when I put in contacts but on glasses days these are it.
Valid
@@sPi711 yeah 300 for these not worth but once they go on sale I may pick them up had the Sonys open ear not the best
About audio quality - have you tried them lower down your ear? This would surely angle the driver more into your canal and get it closer?
I have been using these earbuds for 3 days and they sound great for a non-noise cancelling pair of buds. I do not feel them in my ears so if you like listening to your tunes for long periods of time you will enjoy them. I f you can have two pairs of earbuds, one noise cancelling and these then you are fully set.
Is there a microphone for phone calls?!
Had them for over a week now and love them. Worth every cent!
Can you u use them to call people?!
@@professortm1273 yes you can. It’s versatile.
@@professortm1273 that’s what I want to know too!!
As always great honest review!
Thank you!
I love them. I can wear all day and I forget they are there. Also you can put headphones over them and you get both options for gaming and still have connection to phone. Just a great all purpose solution.
@@OTTNext Pro gamer setup at home is pretty awesome 😂
All their products are overated now. There's always better overall products for a 3rd of the price tbh
Design-wise, i think it is alright. I guess there will be tons of cheap chinese copycat design products coming up soon😅
Probably lol
No, it's Bose who copied a design / concept that has been around for more than 3 years.
🙏🏽
In this case Bose is more like the one who’s being copycat. Huawei released Freeclips for 2 months already, with new customized 10.8mm dynamic driver and wireless charging. Bose put the same driver they used on QC ultra earbuds in this crap without ANC and wireless charging then selling at the same price, released on the start of this month. Now you tell me who is the copycat here
This are for quiet places or walking alone in street
I learn to wait for techs lol. There will be a copy of this for way cheaper soon
like the other commenters said, i can appreciate a non eccentric, over-the-top, "sell me your channel", quality review.
No, you're paying for hype and bullshit when you buy Bose. You can ALWAYS get superior sound quality from a competitor, and usually for less money.
Lol

@@771shadowolf Any BRAND NAME YOU CAN FIND. Klipsch, JBL, whatever.
I have hearing issues with my phone calls. The other person can’t hear me and it’s annoying and frustrating!
This was my biggest worry
The price is absolutely preposterous & pretentious.
Idk the jury is still out . I like the design but no one’s really talking enthusiastically about sound quality only the design
Which ones are the best open earphones
I’m interested and like the style but not for $300 crazy and it’s not even wireless charging TF
Thank you
its designed to repicate a feeling of listening to a stereo system but almost in ear ! 🎉
