3.12_So they've dropped the STEM and are now using a MINI STEM design (??) Still a hanging protrusion there that I can see. But they are deeper looking buds so the mini stem bulge shouldn't collide with you ear tho I suppose.
Double check the app. The five band eq is there. You have to go to the spot where you choose the type of sound you want and choose custom at the end of the choices.
I just picked up these buds too and the custom EQ is there even before the most recent firmware update. If you click on the presets of the EQ and then you slide your finger to the left, the custom button is all the way over to the right.
Got these yesterday love them the only issue I have is wind noise... the wind noise is a lot more prominent than on the Ultras, besides that they're great
In what mode though ? Wind noise is unavoidable with Ambient and ANC as the mics are being used but for the FIRST TIME Bose let you turn ANC/Ambien off and there should be much less wind noise in the "OFF" mode...but they do stick out a bit so they would catch some wind I suppose.
@@Peakabike the Bose QC ultras have windnoise reduction in the ANC which works well, as do many makes of Buds..seems it was Not included in the new Gen 2s..

I was thinking about getting the airpods 4 with anc, but now with THESE being out... Yeah, its a no brainer. Especially due to the fact that I'm an android user and i wouldnt get any benefits from having said airpods. These are gonna be my daily drivers
Looks like Bose has finally pulled their heads out of their butts after the disaster that was their open ear model. These are priced competitively, and they've finally ditched that craptastic app.
The Open are insanely overpriced, i own them. And I love their sound quality and comfort. You literally forget them. I can wear them at work all day and even wear ear protection when it gets loud. It stays comfortable and turns them into noice cancelling headphones. And man, the soundstage and sound quality for open ears is insane.
I like them too, especially the fit. though I only got them because I used my Shokz open runs almost on a daily basis and wanted something more discreet
@@Benzo97 Bose advertise them as a fashionable tech item that you can just wear throughout the day no issues and forget them and still have your casual tunes. Also I almost never clean them they don‘t get dirty at all. Thats a big benefit.
@@theboeckfisch2850 AHH yeah that's another thing I noticed. My Galaxy Buds live got dirty within a few months. I tried to gently clean them regularly but they eventually got clogged. I've always had wax problems with earbuds though and I've never had to really clean these.
The open earbuds would be so much better if they weren't so ridiculously overpriced. It's a shame too because they'd be perfect for a lot of people if they were more affordable. And yeah, it's hilarious how long it took Bose to get their app sorted 😂
Bought mine yesterday but have had many disconnections from the new app already while listening to music. This is even after the firmware update. Voice controls stop working when they disconnect from the app as well, which is a bummer. Returning mine this week.
So, these are fine for use in the gym, but how would they perform when running? Will they keep position? Loved my Bose Sport earbuds until it lost volume in 1 bud. Unfortunately they don't make in-ear sports-focussed buds anymore.
Unfortunately there is way to many body born noises, while on a plane any little turbulence makes the noise cancellation act up where it activates and deactivated. Sound quality also sounds very muddy
What's with BOSE and their naming strategy. These are Bode Quiet comfort, named EXACTLY as their predecessor? Look on their own website. I mean what's wrong with a II ffs. Retailer are having to add a (Gen 2) suffix themselves to differentiate. 🙄

@@alelausic i updated to the latest firmware and don’t have such issues. However i think the immersive audio is inferior compared to jabra elite 10. Elite 10’s audio is more richer, just that the downside it don’t fit my ear properly and after wearing it for awhile i got ear fatigue. However bose in the other hand sounded as what a bose should sound like. Slightly more bass than elite 10, and for comfort and fit hands down bose is much superior.
Well, you probably won’t believe this, but I feel like they’re better as far as sound and connectivity. I also feel like there’s more customizable options in these than the ultras. By the way, I had awful connectivity issues with the ultras after their most recent multi point firmware update. After that firmware update, the connectivity went to garbage for me.

Where is the difference to the ultras? I have the ultras, but don't like the fit. I had the previous qc, the tips were much softer and didn't penetrate the ears. The ultras are to deep in my ear somehow

Please can I ask about the fit. I've tried the ultra's but found they made the inside of my ear sore. I guess they are trying for a double seal with the ear tip, the contoured body and the outer rubber seal all to help with noise isolation. But I found they hurt and itched my ear.
I have a similar issue. Coped buds pro 3 last week. I have been trying to fit them well in my ears. If I force them too much, my ear starts to hurt. I understand everyone's ear shape is different, and maybe that's why they don't fit that well. How is your experience with these? Do you recommend them when it comes to fit and sound quality as compared to buds pro 3?
@@aaradhyabansal6729 bose makes a great product but these are clearly designed to be a more of a work horse product than premium. The fit is amazing as they have multiple contact points in the ear and the battery life for them is great. ANC is really good too in comparison to the buds pro 3 but the call, sound quality and passthrough fall behind. I want to love the buds pro 3 they are truly amazing but they don't stay in my ears.
I've had a bad experience using the QuietComfort Earbuds (previous version) on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Frequently, incoming calls would be diverted to the phone's speaker and trying to use it for calls is like unarmed combat. I also have Airpod Pro 2 USB C, but the noise cancellation is marginally ineffective on trains, etc. Is the new 2nd generation version any improvement for calls? I'm tired of having to apologise to clients for poor call quality (except when using the cheap as chips EarPods).

So I have the QC2 and I LOVE IT, to me the noise canceling and music sound is 10/10 but answering phone calls on it is the problem..5/10 as the other end has a hard time hearing me. Watching this video I saw it sounds much better but I wish they kept the same slender look of QC2.
If this doesn't have the same connection problems as its predecessors, and especially that the microphones in phone calls in noisy environments are good, Bose has a winner here. But on the other hand, frankly, I can't understand Bose's problem with huge cases 😮💨, it will surely be fine for other people, but it's clear that I'm automatically eliminated, this thing is not transportable without a bag. Ps: sorry if it sounds a bit rough, but Gamesky, your microphone tests are no longer useful, they are useless, you change environments every time and we finally have no point of reference, of comparison 🤷🏽♂️

It now sounds like the cheapest headphones you can find. No bass, no power and no clarity. It is super strange. I went to Pixel buds and not looking back. Bye.

Ok so I knew something was up with these when I tried them out the first time. The assistant voice is NOT the same voice as every other set of earbuds Bose has ever released. When the voice assistant speaks, it sounds like it's coming from a cheap headset. And then I had to download a NEW app...I thought.. this is strange. And now I know why. I think these were built by the same manufacturer as Skull candy. Bose's ANC tech was included but these are not 100% Bose design and built. I think that is how they may have gotten these to this price point.

Those look more bulky than the liberty 3 pro! Good on Bose for something in that range, but I'd probably look like a goober with those in my ear!

Samsung buds 3 pro are better in everyway but the fit for these are amazing... And the buds pro 3 don't fit for me.
