I’ve seen the douma vs akaza video and I agree with that, it’s just I don’t agree with the whole “akaza wasn’t trying against rengoku” thing, we have have a lot more going for akaza to not be holding back atleast not as much as he was against giyu along with doing better. Akaza after rengoku stopped his blitz attempt on tanjiro immediately thinks of him being incredibly strong, in fact being able to tell he was a Hashira with just a glance. (To get an complement even close to that giyu had to use null to deflect one of akaza stronger attack and overall had to do a lot more) Or when rengoku crossed several meters while akaza was in the middle of taking a step back, and it does seeming clear that compass needle saved him from the near blitz (with akaza being so amazed with his speed that he refers to it as “amazing” along with his gaze at first being directed at where rengoku was at previously)
and this is made even clearer in the anime, in the anime akaza doesn’t even touch rengoku(and when rengoku got a kick through akaza’s guard sending him flying into those trees) until rengoku visable becomes more tired. Also in your douma vs akaza video you made it clear just how potent compass is, with rengoku being one of the most determined and drived of the Hashira
Akaza>Tanjiro(Stw+Mark)>>Marked Giyu>Giyuu>Rengoku. The easiest way to prove he was holding back is via him being able to blitz and overpower someone stronger than rengoku its that simple. Every hashira likely has a perfected battle spirit that means nothing we see his compass being just as accurate against hashira level tanjiro and giyuu and giyuu and akaza was also immediately able to tell tanjiro was hashira level after he used a single attack on akaza. Also as i said the techniques akaza used against rengoku were nothing giyuu stated akaza sped up and got stronger multiple times from his base which he fought rengoku in and he used end style which is a 100 blows from all directions which lull is unable to fully block if akaza is trying he blitzes and one shots rengoku
@@Utorihoshi but he blatantly doesn’t ever blitz him brother, in the giyu fight and his fight against tanjiro he makes it very clear that if he can blitz you he will (atleast to see if your able to react/ probing their defense to see if they are worth his time) he doesn’t this against tanjiro and giyu both barely being able to dodge it. Yet during the entire fight against rengoku nothing like that ever occurred in fact rengoku was the one who seemed to appear infront of akaza. (Don’t get me wrong, I know akaza was holding back massively against those two, but in both battles he does do a blitz attempt, something that he never does against rengoku) And about the battle spirit thing, rengoku’s battle spirit literally had akaza shaking in suprise and delight, getting the socked(shiver up his spine) effect, a reaction that tanjiro nor giyu got out of akaza, not to meation akaza says rengoku has honed his battle spirit to near perfection another complement he never gives to either

Thats fanfic theres nothing stating gyutaro had equal strength to um4 only statement similar to that is lower moon 5 having the strength of lm2-1
