i just picked up a 2003 rm250 in great working condition. I learned a lot from watching and listening to you guys. Thanks for inspiring me to go back and enjoy my youth.
I have 11 people in my company I've been talking about your motorcycle museum for the last 2 years I believe shortly we're going to make a visit incredible job you guys do beautiful bikes awesome people good attitude can't wait
I watched a video of a guy on one like this and he was just rrriipppin it! That 125 GasGas is a little monster! It’s amazingly fast! Glad your daughter loves it. I’ve never had a birthday present that nice!
@@dimmacommunication Now they want to phase out the 4-strokes too and go all electric. Kawasaki has announced all their bikes will be electric by 2035.
Wow... this was sweet. Reminds me of my then 11 year old daughter's first bike, (Chinese/Yamaha rt100 replica) and the look on her face after about 15 mins. of getting the hang of it was priceless.
Oh boy ...do you sound like a good Dad or what . I'd tell about my Dad ( total opposite ) but why ruin the great image you and your family project . Those GASGAS bikes impress me more and more everytime I see them . I can't wait to see all of you at the races . What an awesome place you've built brother . PK
Man those r nice kap...what's the price for the 125 like hers with the wp fork. Really clean looking bike, your can hear how crisp it is...I'm 47 and weigh 250lbs so I may inquire on a 250, I've been riding all my life man, couldn't be without a motorcycle, street and dirt. I got an 04 road king now, motors built, bassani pipe. Also got an old beater rm 125 that's is pretty wooped. I've owned it a long time. I'm ready for a nice fresh brand new bike and those gas gas are awesome.
Very interesting about the break-in protocol that you guys follow for this - and all? - 2-stroke bikes. The last 2-stroke bike I owned was a Suzuki TS-185 and I kept its RPMs very low for the first 600 miles. That was a great little trail bike that ran and ran and ran and ran...
The 125cc race bikes get new rings and/or pistons between races. Maybe a 10 minute warm up or two. Tolerances are pretty tight on a 40hp 125cc also. That 40hp number is pretty unbelievable in the early 80's it was more like 20hp. -The pipe is pretty big however. Also fuel and oils are better now. Get by with 40-1 and 50-1+ mix.
Hey Mr Kaplan. I love what you guys do. I would love to work for you but I'm in Huntersville north Carolina. I have a 96 KTM 360. It has a full FMF exhaust and fresh engine. I want to tame the power band so I can wheelie in the higher gears. I mean it has the power but comes on really hard in the upper gears. I love the way the power comes in on big bore 2 strokes. manageable IMO. I have it jetted well, I think and has plenty of low end torque and enough power to bring it up whenever you want to. would a flywheel weight do what I want or can you adjust the power valve to get the results I'm looking for? BTW, I replaced the stock power valve cover with an adjustable 1 from a 1998 300. The stock one wasn't adjustable but did have some shims under the cover to keep the power valve closed longer, I think. Any suggestions from Wizard on jetting or something that I can do? P.s. I went 1 tooth smaller on the front sprocket but have since went back to the stock one because I felt it topped out to early. I hope that you guys can help me out. I love what you guys do and keep up the awesome work. Your friend, Kelly Ballard in N.C.
I'm looking at getting the mc250 2stroke KAPLAN much love brother they 5k for um been looking at um then ill b out on tracks with her what im financing
My daughter raced a twin engine race kart for a number of years. Powered by two IAME Parilla Reedster 125cc 40hp aside. She was the only female to hold a track record and to win both the Clubs Memorial race Trophies
I'm a kart racer myself, love the two strokes. I had a lay down shifter kart for many years recently sold it,I'm 60 yrs old now so I bought a vintage quicksilver lay down with komet k88s and hewland arrow 100cc. My younger brother still has an emmick lay down kart with a vortex 125 we will be taking back to Daytona at Christmas time .
How much would it cost me for y'all to rebuild a Honda CR125 two stroke to make it look fresh. It ran when I bought it. The guy I bought it from did a shit job of a rebuild. It ran for maybe two tanks of gas. I know It'll probably be a can of worms, but it's the first dirt bike I bought.
The fact that in USA you get mandatory ethanol gas is bad... :( you should have the choice to use 100% gas for motorcycles. Of course you can buy it pre mixed from VP but that's hefty
Just run bean oil (because it will mix with alcohol/methanol) and run the carb dry after riding. It'll be fine if you ride regularly. If storing for weeks at a time, keep it empty.
Enough to haul 200# guy around for the weekends. Cool bike, good rider. hope my kids take to riding like she is. dirt bike riding for fun needs more women influence instead of our young girls worrying about looks and superficial crap.
Always Good to see Women Riding a Bike & showing Support for Gas Gas.💯🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️
God bless the Kaplan fam!!! Jordan you are very lucky, GASGAS are rare in my neck of the woods keep on sending y’all!

Excited to see how your motocross team develops and see some of the riders.

@@jonmccormick8683 I think I remember the Penton 125 Six Day coming in at about 21 HP and the 125 Husky and CZ at about the same back in the day?
125s were allready well into the 30+hp range by the time water cooled bikes became common in the 80s.

is that going to be her bike
Yes
Like the black tank! They should put those on all of them.
I'm very confused for the break in heat cycle.
Some say to let it heat and pull a gear etc... some to warm up and let it cool then repeat.
Keep it half throttle -ish for 10min.. then let cool completely ...then repeat same 2 more - 3 more times.
@@Davido50 Thank's , some of my friends do it for 5-6 times.

I'm from Europe so I just use regoular gas :)
You should try and get a husky dealership also
