  • CREATOR'S DESCRIPTION:
    Halo 4 Genesong Cut is a mod that aims to improve the original campaign using exclusively what is shipped with the game without relying on assets from the previous games, as a sort of director's cut. If you were looking for a classic or Bungie styled campaign, sadly this mod is not for you.
    REQUIREMENTS:
    The mod has been made using only the tags shipped with the tools. You don't need to download additional files, but be sure to disable campaign customizations
    CHANGES AND FEATURES:
    Global:
    -Increased texture resolution and improved shaders where possible
    -Added a proper transition from the old to the new Mjolnir armor
    -Simplified and modernized HUD
    -Sounds have been swapped and mixed to create a more pleasant experience
    -Reimplemented cut lines and removed some confusing ones
    Weapons:
    -DMR has been entirely removed. On the other hand, two new weapons have been added: the Plasma Launcher and the Bishop Beam
    -Promethean weapons have been overhauled to be in line with Halo 5, and they now use the Halo Infinite ammo system
    -Increased reserve ammo and reduced battery consumption for certain weapons
    -Increased grenade explosion radius
    AIs:
    -Characters are in general more responsive and act like in Combat Evolved
    -Covenant now have more distinct ranks with better armor and fixed anatomy
    -Prometheans have been completely revamped to fix their annoying behavior while still being interesting to fight
    -Promethean Soldiers and Major Watchers have been implemented
    Vehicles:
    -The cut Revenant has been restored
    -All vehicles now have health bars
    -Mantis now has a Hannibal Gauss turret instead of a standard Machine gun
    And many, many more...
    KNOWN ISSUES
    -Due to how Halo 4 handles its sounds, some audio files can become suddenly lower
    -The modified Didact model broke the motion capture. That's because the current tools don't support face maps. I will fix this once the tools will be updated
    -Forerunner turrets in the Pelican section in Shutdown can occasionally freeze
    -Since the Elite animation tags make the tools crash, I couldn't give them proper animations for the Revenant, and I've been forced to recycle existing seats. Because of that, their animations don't match the actual model. This applies to Spartans and marines as well
