These runs never fail to amaze me. Not only are these runners incredibly dedicated, the collective collaboration it took to find these beneficial glitches is absolutely mind blowing.

I had the snowman deletion glitch happen when I was a kid. I blamed my friend for it since he used a game genie on the cartridge and thought that the cheating somehow corrupted the game permanently
My strategy when I was a kid playing this was get 4 walnuts and spam magic after getting magic
Wish I had made it home in time i'd of donated during this run which means i'll have to donate another day but do plan to donate this year since i have the chance to while it's live!
Why doesnt he use the weapon charge for every boss like I have seen others do? I assume because no second controller, but he does use the weapon charge for Spikey....what gives?
He explains it during the run. Basically, spamming magic is usually faster than one-controller overcharge, but some bosses are encountered when no spell available can do any damage to them, so he falls back to weapon overcharge.

My policy has always gone along the lines of "don't knock anyone for mispronounced words, because it's a word they learned from reading". Besides, how the heck is anyone (besides folk either familiar with Gaelic or can read Katakana) supposed to know that "Cait Sith" from FFVII is pronounced "cat shee"?
@@jaysonl We know to read the U in fury & furry differently because of the double consonant, and he even referred* to them as rabbits or bunnies prior to saying "ray-bite" if I'm not mistaken so it should have been easy for him to make the connection with the word rabbit.
It's also not knocking someone to want them to pronounce something correctly. Better to assume someone can learn than to assume they're too stupid.
*Notice in "referred" the first and second Es are pronounced differently and they too have single and double consonants respectively following (it happened again in "following"!) them. No rule is entirely consistent but it's a good place to start.

If said runs aren't done on OEM hardware, they are not legit Speedrun because the emulator and file not only DO NOT BEHAVE LIKE OEM HARDWARE but are also subject to possible exploits. Good dedication, but it's as useful as a diesel at an EV race. No offense.
