- Promo video of The Animals performing 'Brother Bill (The Last Clean Shirt)', from the 1977 reunion album 'Before We Were So Rudely Interrupted'.
In 1975, the original members of The Animals (Burdon, Price, Valentine, Chandler and Steel) gathered at Chas Chandler's house in Surrey (just outside of London) to record the tracks that appear on this album. It was their first new music together for more than a decade. Due to legal reasons the album wasn't released until two years later, on Chandler's Barn label in 1977.
Apologies for the poor quality audio and vision on this video, but the quality of the band lives on.
xxx Love Forever:
Eric Burdon - vocals
Alan Price - keyboards
Hilton Valentine - guitar
Chas Chandler - bass
John Steel - drums

Animalerne er altid gode, men den sang rører mig altid.
Me too
fuck havent seen this since 1977!
I used to have a revording of this. The gnome sang it with a rougher voice. The refrain was "last clean shirt on my "dead" brother Bill." Anybody else ever heard that version. I had it on an 8 track used to song it all the time.
Damn Eric you're gorgeous ( why don't you give your shirt? )
He is nearly to gorgeous and hot my heart flipps as hell
I agree -- I love the Cactus version
Semsasional meus ídolos erique burdam
The first, and last time I heard this was back around '75 on the boardwalk in Venice Beach. Some dude with accoustic guitar and harmonica, leaning against a brick wall, doing old Hank tunes, etc. He said he goes by "crazy dale's one man band" but I think it could have been a young seasick steve. He moved on pretty quick, I still wonder who wrote this song. And who that guy was.
Look up the original version of the song, by Cactus. Great stuff!
It's not the original only remastered
