A nice mixture of big stuff,lovely lobster, nice conger for bait and horse mackerel. Good days fishing and very entertaining to watch. Well done you two.
We were out on hols in guernsey and returned a few weeks ago , 2 big storms , lots of rain and I was dreadfully Ill, didn't ruin the holiday myself, my 10 year old daughter and dags had a great time. Roquain bay is our fav beach in Guernsey, however this year the seaweed washed up by the storms was too much , so spent most of our time on Grand Roque . Love watching your vids, after the storms found several pots washed up on the rocks on Grand Roque beach , both sides.Also saw the wrecked boat on the roadside near cup and saucer.
There was a lot of pots and buoys washing up around the island. There is also a lot of broken seaweed just below the low water mark from the storms. When it makes its way to shore if its hot weather it wont be long before we get a lot of beach flies :)

Weathers not been great for it and when we have got out we have been doing pots and fishing hopefully we can fit some in

Bit of a strange thing - thought the video was a bit grainy at the start, checked the settings and UA-cam had set it to 480P. Upped the settings to 1440P and all was great. Never had that happen before though. Nice one guys - stay safe & well. 🎣🎣👍👍
It sometimes adjusts quality settings if there is a hiccup with the internet connection

Is there any difference in flavour texture between horse macro and ordinary macro which you prefer?👍👍👍👍
Two different families one is mackerel the other a jack hard to say both about the same amount of bones both good fresh, horse mackerel not so good frozen but some may like it. Both are nice to eat no preference.

Female. There has been a lot of large lobster around this year. The pots just seem to get loads of lobster these days. Its all the crabs that are disappearing I think the lobsters are eating their way through them.
Hi Troj and Rebecca ... Did you keep the conger? Is it edible?
Conger is edible but not our favorite. We return many of them but Its also good bait for the lobster pots as it lasts a long time and will keep catching. Its not commercially fished for here so there are may out there which is useful when we run out of the fish off cuts.
Nice to see a productive day after the storms does a good blow shake things up to your benefit or make it harder ?

I would also but it would have to be a lot bigger. These are still young lobsters in the lobster world
Saw you were out this morning Troy, was that swell as bad as it got near high water?
It was pretty bad but when the high tide started to drop it would probably have been much worse

@@Trojwaterman it gets worse as the tide starts going down?
The tide picks up speed as all the water leaves the bays and joins the south to north flow. If it's bad out there before high tide best not be there once it starts to drop until tide direction starts to switch. This is around the light, Banc and parts of Lihou

Pretty remarkable if it was as we do not have V notching here. We only have a size limit and we are overrun with lobster.

Yes you can but many of fishermen will release them anyway
Would also say it looked v notched as well bit if its allowed where you are fair play loverly lobster
