- Thandie (half)sister of Vizazi loves her little sister. It's cute to see her around Mambele and Vizazi. Also Mambele is snuggling with Vizazi this day. It's so cute.
Thandie is also on adventure and tries to get on her daddy's back. Daddy Matadi accepts almost everything it's wonderful! I hope you'll enjoy this video!
This family lives in Zoo Antwerpen (Belgium). Silverback Matadi and his ladies Amahoro (Eastern Lowland Gorilla), Mayani and daughter Thandie (born 26-11-2018), Mambele and daughter Vizazi (born 24-6-2020).

I know I say this a lot, but I love watching the youngsters with their Daddies! Especially this one with Thandie underneath Matadi’s front legs. So adorable 😍. Vizazi is so beautiful...her eyes look almost gray in color! Such a beauty, and Mambele is a joy to watch. I love seeing her maternal instincts at work. She looks very happy! 🥰

Mambele is a wonderful mother. It is so amazing how Little Vizazi is riding Mom's back like a pro! Its is fun to watch how mesmerized the family is with the new baby. Little Thandie is so adorable trying to get close to Mom and Baby but acting as if she is just playing. Mambele looks at her Baby with such pride and love and I love how she cuddles the baby. Mom with her leg around the baby as she stretches out was precious! Mom providing warmth and comfort as she lays back. Wonderful video! Thank you so much! Love seeing them interact as days go by! Eastern Lowland Gorilla female Amahoro (a very special lady, the last Eastern Lowland gorilla worldwide in a zoo. She'll be the last one. And we enjoy the time we have with her so much, she is beautiful and such a relaxed and special gorilla to me). @@marieldeguzman6193 Matadi is indeed the daddy of Thandie and Vizazi ;). And yes, Amahoro is the only Eastern Lowland Gorilla. She is part of the group. Matadi does mate with but she is on birthcontrol because they're not allowed to get babies because they're different species. She has a good life, I can assure you ;). It is a bit sad though she can't get babies herself but she is a great aunt and loves to play with Thandie and Vizazi will probably be soon on auntie Ama her back too ;).

Nope, not with this baby. Maybe in the past I don't know that much about her babies before Vizazi?

I am curious how are these gorillas or monkeys etc brought to zoos. Are they hurt and can’t survive in wild or captured and put in zoos. I just feel so bad they are in captivity. Are the babies taken when old enough to live in wild or is this their life
Amahoro was found on an airport (probably shipped as an animal) and she went to Antwerpen because it was the place where more eastern lowland gorillas lived at that time. But most gorilla's are born in zoos. Animals aren't taken out of the wild anymore to come to zoos. And animals that live in a zoo can not go into the wild. They wouldn't survive. When the babies are old enough they move to different zoos to become a mommy themselves or to become a silverback daddy or live in a single mens group.

Yes, she has. But when she's relaxed she let's her lower lip hang. So you see her gums.
