    Awesome REVIEWS!💯 Your reviews fully explained about 100W RGB COB Lighting ,From their appearance, RGB bright, color accurate, fan quiet, NP-F batteries,lcd display and so on....

    just bought it (after watching about 10 or more reviews), I don't really care about the LCD screen, what mattered more was a fan that is not too noisy, price not too high and RGB.

      Nice! This is why it's so great we have options. Others might care a lot about the LCD, but some, like you, don't. And, because of that, you get everything that's important to you for less money :)

    Cool video ! What other RGB lights would you suggest as strong 60-100W that are compact size lightweight and app controlled ?

    • @NewLayer
      @NewLayer  10 днів тому

      They are more than 60-100W, but the Amaran 150c/300c are killer lights: ua-cam.com/video/V4csSdpxs-E/v-deo.html
      Another great, super compact, 60W option would be the Zhiyun Molus X60RGB: ua-cam.com/video/uGa2zjw4e6Y/v-deo.html

    Thanks for the great review! I have three questions. First, how is the light holding up today now that you've had it for 6 months? Second, about how long does it last on NPF batteries? Third, do the settings on the light stay the same after turning it off and on?

    • @NewLayer
      @NewLayer  9 місяців тому +2

      Glad you liked it. Unfortunately, I don't keep most lights more than 2-3 months. I did have 1 Sutefoto light for 2 years and it worked fine the whole time.
      A 60-80W light will run around 45-60 minutes at 100% brightness with the biggest NP-F batteries.
      Honestly, I don't remember if the settings are retained when it's turned off. Usually I mention that in the video, but maybe I forgot this time.

    As a makeup artist, will this light give me a good result?

    • @NewLayer
      @NewLayer  8 місяців тому

      This would work just as well as almost any modern COB LED light. The most important thing is to turn it into as big of a light source as possible with a softbox. I would recommend a 32-36" softbox, or perhaps a lantern softbox if you want to light yourself and the bring the ambient room light up as well.
      I prefer beauty dish softboxes Vs. parabolic because they are less deep so save some space: geni.us/glowbeautydish34silver
      Or a lantern like this: geni.us/glowezlocklantern31

    How long have you had the light?
    Have you used it enough to know if it has a decent life and lasts a few years?
    These are doubts that I have with these brands, so far my Nanlite, which is already 2 years old, continues to have a good life.

    • @NewLayer
      @NewLayer  Рік тому +1

      I've had it a few weeks. It's pretty impossible to keep and review lights that are years old, because I only permanently keep very few items that I use daily. And, by the time they are that old, they have usually been replaced with an upgraded version or something and are no longer for sale.
      Always check the Amazon/B&H or other retailer reviews as well, because a sample size of 1 unit is too small to review the longevity anyways!
      I will say I had the Sutefoto P80 for a few years and it worked just as well as the day I bought it.

    where can i get fresnel lens for sutefoto p100?

    • @NewLayer
      @NewLayer  Рік тому

      Usually Fresnel lenses are designed for specific lights, but Sutefoto doesn't make one. There are more generic ones out there, they just won't be quite as efficient www.amazon.com/dp/B09MTJWSJ8?&_encoding=UTF8&tag=newlayer-20&linkCode=ur2&linkId=cb83fd3beab2327c9f18bd6d7992e533&camp=1789&creative=9325

    saw your selling page on gear focus and was wondering if that site is legit?

    • @NewLayer
      @NewLayer  Рік тому

      Absolutely is! I love it so much more than ebay. The gear is typically from more reliable sources, the fees are less for sellers, and they are filmmakers/content creators themselves. I use it any time I can over ebay.

    Sutefoto has the worst LCD screens. They have the same one for their tube light, I returned it partially because of the display.

    • @NewLayer
      @NewLayer  Рік тому

      I can't disagree, haha. I think it's the combo of low contrast AND the font they use is only a single pixel wide! If they fixed just the latter, it would help a lot. Overall, they need to use different ones.

    • @MrNoipe
      @MrNoipe Рік тому +1

      @@NewLayer it probably adds $1-2 to the total cost, i don't know why they choose to cheap out.

    • @NewLayer
      @NewLayer  Рік тому

      @@MrNoipe I'm sure they are cheap from a component point of view, but the cost to re-engineer, re-tool, etc. for manufacturing is huge.
