@@kingzingo1784 The issue with doing that is how unfinished it is in the leaked footage so for all we know they could've changed a lot of it even by the time that footage got leaked.

Playing through the Single Player Campaign AGAIN and Michael is still my favorite character in GTA. Props to Ned for his flawless execution of Michael De Santa...Townley.

He loves and promotes the game. It's a crime that he hasn't been asked to do GTA online content. Franklin and Trevor have shown up but not Micheal yet
What could his dlc be tho?
To be honest, he's the only character that doesn't make sense to be in online
Franklin is grown up, hustling and gettig big, Trevor is keeping his business and work strong, but Michael has nothing left to do, he's a retired movie producer, living with his family

@@john_7000in the leaks he’s named Jason and while that could’ve changed over the course of time since the leaks have dropped it likely won’t bc Lucia had the same name in the leaks and the trailer

I was always curious about that line and where it was after playing the game. It's great to finally hear the on set story behind it, because it's such an iconic line and delivery imo. I wish it made it in the game.

Honestly, for that time period he was loved just as much if not more. You gotta remember a lot less people were on the internet (twitter was just starting to pickup, youtube was still full of random shorts and music videos and etc) and playing GTA at the time. But, the amount of us that were, we loved the hell out of that guy and his performance. He was all the talk in the GTA forums before and after GTA IV’s release
It was hilarious that GTAForums figured out it was Ned within _hours_ of the trailer dropping.
Crazy to think the new actors are going through the same thing rn, imagine not knowing you’re one of the main characters in a GTA game!

The fact that 6's trailer got leaked is super awful now hearing how they have a big launch party and stuff for it with the actors

Well that’s Rockstars fault for waiting so long to drop it. They could’ve avoided it being leaked by not tweeting out they were going to show it in early December. They should’ve just dropped it on a random day at a random time unannounced.

Can’t help it to go back to GTAV once in a while, I mean story mode it’s been almost 2 years since I’ve touched the online. Great game. Just talking about it makes me wanna play it. And I’ve been playing it since day 1. I’ve got so many memories attached to this game.
Online ruined praise for story mode. Story mode is underrated. I honestly hope online doesn't get released right away in GTA, you know fans are gonna freak out
I need to jump into it again. Only played it through once and that was way back in 2013!
Rockstar always waits awhile. Gta online and Red dead Online both released a few weeks after the game came out
I'm currently replaying it. I've never played online I only ever play story mode.
@@Stelpots i gave online a good 2-3 yrs , amazing fun times, but man story mode is so Golden . Replaying right now.
I love this guy I hope he enjoyed his role and enjoyed the other people who were acting in GTA 5 and hope he managed to get good friends on set!

they all look like their characters because their face is scanned into the games SFX
That's how motion capture works most of the time. Their likeness gets scanned onto the character. But some games, like The Last of Us 2 with Abby, Dina, and other characters look completely different because they chose to use a different person's face model
There is some childlike part of me that loves it when I see someone first as a character, then later on as a person. It makes me giddy like "WHOA HE SOUNDS JUST LIKE MICHAEL!"
The hype for GTA V was insane. I can image that as more trailers come out for 6, the hype will be absolutely off the charts

If the success of GTAV doesn’t make future actors hyperventilate when asked to do motion capture and voice acting for an upcoming GTA game, I don’t know what will.
Well, it's now been less than a day from when the first GTAVI trailer came out. Those guys are gonna be super famous - not Al Pacino level, but still. GTAV has sold like 200 million copies, and pretty much every player has spent hours and hours with those characters, unlike in a movie that only lasts like two hours.
Well they don't know it's GTA.
They never tell them what game it is. The same situation happened with Arthur Morgan's VA

Ned has such a great voice. I have to say playing through the story I really liked his character and story line a lot, it was my favorite by far of the three with the whole family arch and the drama with Trevor and mentoring Franklin, just phenomenal from top to bottom.

Thank you for this! I'm hoping Rockstar gets another surprise this time around. Ned is slowly immortalizing with all the GTA work/talk the past couple of years I believe
what blew me away the most was hearing "ogden's nut gone flake" in the soundtrack . small faces are one of my favorite bands and never in a million years would i have guessed that i would hear them in a video game. i'd REALLY like to know who chose the music.
I had my mother pre order the game as my birthday present since it dropped the same month right after that trailer dropped. It certainly did its job!
Man I remember my mother saying it was “too violent” and “inappropriate” for me to play.. then Christmas Day she gave the green light for my Aunt and Uncle to buy it for me instead.

No one should also complain why GTA VI release date is on 2025. Ned Luke said in 0:11 that the GTA 5 trailer released 2 years before the game came out. We are already in December so technically its just the same how GTA V was released.

A bit of a random thought but I wonder how well the trio got paid because I know that the VA for Niko Bellic from GTA 4 was complaining that he didn’t get paid enough because he didn’t realize until later how big the game was going to become.
To clarify, what Michael Hollick was specifically complaining about is the lack of actors' unions in the gaming industry that can fight for the actors' right to residuals down the line. Especially given GTA IV was only the biggest game ever at the time and he was a young working actor. He liked his experience working with Rockstar.

It was rumored back in the day that they got paid $3,000 an hour for their work. They worked on GTA V for around 350 hours, which would equate to around $1M each. There was likely other royalties and bonuses depending on how well the game sold.

Still very funny to me how law and order had cast Ned Luke, MULTIPLE TIMES, as an upset/disgruntled father figure-- HE PLAYED DIFFERENT FATHERS AT DIFFERENT TIMES IN THE SHOW. Still so happy for him that he got an opportunity like GTA V though, playing yet another father figure 😂

Character wise, it’s crazy how little of a difference there is between Ned and Michael. Ned was basically being himself in that role. Same for Solo. Solo has been acting and living the life of characters like Franklin his entire acting career

I mean, GTA V is the first GTA game to be released in the midst of hyper fanaticism and hyper focus via social media. Of course Rockstar wasnt prepared for anything social media related because they hadnt faced that before. GTA is a massive property, when anything surrounding GTA is happening, its a worldwide, significant event, its not like Bethesda releasing a Fallout game, thats just a regular Friday. People have bought homes outright because they made a career out of being GTA UA-camrs so the likes of Vanoss, TGG, Darkviper, Achievement Hunter and the thousands of people who've done gameplays of GTA games or content surrounding GTA have built fanbases for rockstar as well. Then when some random dude recognizes his old buddies voice in a trailer, thousands of people have immediately seen that tweet even if its up for 5 minutes. I think theyre more prepared now, but I definitely dont think they were back then
