You know what mean 😁 good vid
Steven ogg just wants to be remembred as the kind soul, who loves reading, sunsets, running .
But we all known him as trevor.
But his other work is just as good. Like the walking dead. That was awesome. We should respect his wishes.
I think Steven is going to be in GTAVI…based on his post about seeing Jason and Lucia in Vice city.
Steven doesn't hate Trevor. He hates that people think that he is like Trevor in real life.
"I want people to hug me, but instead they want me to spit on their face" - Steven Ogg
I guess he is Trevor without the anger issues. Trevor would need a hug as well.
@@ErikAnkan73He's not Trevor. Trevor is a character. He's Steven. Steven has played many characters that aren't Trevor.
Yeah, we know! Calm down there Dalton, don't freak out over it
@@Kodarian@benjaminfrank-hp4wk You really call that a freakout?. Quite gaslighting people. The dude's making a valid point. Saying "you know" and still talking in a way that reinforces EXACTLY what causes Ogg to have issues is part of the problem. Fans do that shit constantly and seem to have zero self awareness about what they've done unless you point it out. It's a really selfish way to act towards another person, no genuine consideration of anything but yourself 🤷♂️.
@TheycallmeMrWonka Meh. People are weird. I remember when Ogg came back to play Simon on TWD Dead City. Didn't take long for the"Trevor is back!" Titles to pop up on UA-cam shorts.
Some cats just get hung up on certain roles actors play I guess.
“I’m gonna ride my 15 minutes of fame for as long as I can ride it” man that’s such a Michael thing to say, really keeping it realistic.
Absolutely. Adam West said he knew Batman would get him typecast, but that there's far worse things for an actor than to be stuck to one iconic character.
@@TheSuckoShow Adam West is the best. He also plays a funny mayor.
@@TSL73 may he rest in peace
My wife and I met Steven last year at a convention. He had two sets of autographs available: Trevor from GTA and Simon from Walking Dead. People had been talking to him about those franchises all day. My wife goes up and talks about how she loved him as a "Were-Pony" in an episode he did for a show called "Stan vs Evil". He seemed a bit caught off guard that someone wanted to talk about something that doesn't involve cars, drugs or zombies. We just had a chat for a bit, and he was a very down to earth guy, very gentle unlike Trevor.
He just isn’t cars drugs and zombies, people only see him as those
Like the time I saw John Jarrat and didn't wanna talk about Wolf Creek, instead I got him to sign my copy of The House That John Built, he seemed surprised and slightly relieved lmao
@@S.K.u.S.HI don’t think that’s how people see him, I think that’s how he thinks we see him. He’s just an actor
It's kinda cuz Trevor is just A CHARACTER
that was a great character for him, I wish he was in the show longer
And that is why I absolutely admire Ned Luke he’s just so down to earth like he gets it.
Ye My man Mr De S- I mean Mr Luke tells it like it is man I've always liked Ned Luke's good sense of how the business operates, hes very realistic and he knows a lot that we prolly dont and I feel like we should just admire him for the person he is not just becuz the roles he plays in, hes forsure a damn fine actor
He kinda gives me Steve downs vibes.
@@mr.ice_cold Yeah, such a fine actor that he hasn't got any acting jobs since 2017 and even then, his entire career is basically playing some one and done characters on B-Level TV Show. He isn't good, he just got lucky that Rockstar offered him this one role, which probably is the highlight of his life, hence why he clings onto it so much.
@rockymontanagarciamayne5651 Well if you got low standards, then yes, any amateur actor is good, lol. But as i said, the fact that he never was in anything serious, never starred in any proper movie and can't find work says it all. But keep being in denial, fangirl.
@@ShadowAngel-lt8nw He's a decent actor. I think it's his choice not to continue on with his acting gigs.
I mean, he hit the jackpot role of a lifetime that continues to give him fame and glory even a decade after its release. Why would he need to expand his horizons more?
He's the oldest out of the main cast not to mention has a family, and judging by some of his occasional IG posts about his son, it's apparent he cares for them a lot. He wouldn't want to be absent in their lives because he's too busy chasing stars.
To quote Pavel during the Cayo Perico Heist: "No need to change the winning formula"
"The fans are the game" 😢 Give this man a medal
The consumers are everything period.
The fans are trash and he should’ve called them out instead of putting you sick detached fucks on a pedestal
Thats for most media, nothing fucking new
N that's the game pal 🤷🏽♂️
He appreciates us. 😢
Ned Luke is the only one who actually still sounds like his GTA 5 character
Steven Ogg still sounds like his character
Even Shawn Fontino too, they all sound naturally like their characters. That's the difference between Performance Capture and Voice Acting. Not that you can't voice act in performance capture like Troy Baker for example, but Voice Actor tends to have more caliber when it comes to different voice.
Nocap
All main character actors do
All of them do
It’s totally understandable not to want to be recognized for only one role
Yea I feel like more people should look at him for the person he is not just as role he played for
@@mr.ice_cold No they shouldn’t. Without GTA nobody would know he existed. He should be thankful he has such a large fanbase instead of crying about not being known for other roles. Most actors aren’t recognized at all for any of their roles. You don’t choose how the public sees you. You can either accept how you are seen or you can cry and complain. There’s more dignity in the first option.
But not in this scenario though... like i get that he has multiple roles in different media for example Better call Saul, Westworld, Walking Dead, even RDR2 etc. The problem is people are paying him money for cameos with his Trevor persona, he then takes their money and basically shits on GTA 5 which let's be honest, if it wasn't for GTA 5 no one would know who Steven Ogg is. It's the same as insulting your father after he has given you food, a house to live in and nothing but kindness. Be grateful for those who made you what you are.

I'd like to think it's but of a Harrison Ford and Han Solo thing where he doesn't hate the character, as it boosted his career but just doesn't mind the character interesting or in Steven Ogg's, and how Ned Luke points it out, he just doesn't like to be solely recognised as Trevor, which yeah is understandable.

One right here. I've been that person for quite awhile now. I was very agitated and vocal as a teenager but as I grew up I realized...you know....what is all this for? Why, what is the point of it? None of the shit I was getting mad at affected my life in the slightest and it was just a lot of toxic energy keeping me away from my own goals in life. Just take that shit and throw it away.
Be passionate about your family, your friends, your hobbies, your pets, things that you love to do. Don't waste your life fucking around worrying about some celebrity, or some news event, or whatever bullshit is happening in the world. The world will keep on doing that same shit no matter what whether you are alive or dead, sick or old and you will have zero effect on it.
Love that he’s got a Michael poster on the wall. Be proud to be the main character of the most popular game in history!
Every role Ogg has played has basically been another 'Trevor'. Same mannerisms, vocal tone, body language, the works. He plays the same character in everything he's ever done, but his role in "GTA V" is one of the all-time greats in video games.
That's what I thought too... Even his real life personality is Trevor just without the murder
He's had roles in Better Call Saul, The Walking Dead, and a few others that were all Trevor-like, but look up WHEN those came out. It's obvious that Stephen is stuck in a type cast because of his successful portrayal of Trevor. He's trying to get away from that label because he believes there's more to him as an actor. Sure he accepted the Trevor-like roles, but he's an actor...and still needs to work, so of course he's going to take them, but they just cement his likeness to Trevor even more and it becomes a vicious cycle. I completely understand Stephen's upset (though, trashing people on Cameo, even if using Trevor's likeness, on a PAID request is outright disrespectful)
I think he just puts a lot of himself into his acting, he's an energetic, lanky, confident and outspoken guy.

Ned Luke is actually a likeable dude, and It's made me like his character in the game more.
Michael de Santa is probably my favorite GTA protagonist.
It still amazes me that he was never a big and known actor but his performance in the game was incredible
He played bad guy roles in a few episodes of Law & Order and a few unheard of B-movies but GTA 5 was where he got the most recognition.

This Guy really deserves a DLC of his own, he really loves his work and character. We didn't see anything about Michael on online. And about Steve, he just don't like being called trevor all the time and he doesn't understand the magnitude of his work since he's clearly a boomer who don't give a single f about video games
Kinda disrespectful to Steven tbh, your right about the Trevor thing but he’s jus not interested in video games, you don’t need to be disrespectful
@@aarons4585 but this is just i said, the majority of the boomers don't care about video games, and he clearly doesn't give a damn, he refers to his character as a cartoon. He said other times that his son played the game, but he's not interested at all. It's no disrespect, it's the reality.
@@marciogleisson1764 well yea I understand that but obviously we can’t really know how he feels it’s been almost 10 years since the game came out so maybe he gets tired of people not recognizing his new work, but I agree about the Michael dlc tho would be interesting

His take shows that actors/performance captures should embrace what they've reaped. I'm sure Ogg has his reasons and it can be difficult.
I'm sure having neckbeards relentlessly telling you to tell them to "go f themselves" gets annoying. Also I saw an interview where he says he just wanted fans to hug him and show him love. But everyone just wanted to see and treat him like "Trevor"
@@dipdip907 Best take here so far.
Yea I feel like they definitely shud get more credit from that perspective
@@dipdip907ppl are probably scared of hugging the dude cause Johnny did and he ended up dead 20 seconds after
It's probably the same thing that happened with CJ's voice actor. GTA fanboys and children would literally harrass him and refer to him as his character in real life and his social media. Like, hell I remember seeing a post of his on instagram in rememberance of one of his closest friends that had just passed away, and the comments in that post were flooded with stupid San Andreas memes and references from +10 years ago bruh, it was honestly infuriating to watch.
I can see it definitely being excruciatingly annoying, especially if you want to be recognized for other things, like with music in his case.
As a GTA fan since out the womb, I can confirm that the GTA community is one of the most obnoxious fandoms out there and it just kinda sucks as a whole.
He has such a healthy attitude about it, true class act.
He looks like an awesome person. Michael is my favourite character from gta and I hope he gets more attention by either getting a good dlc in online or has a role gta 6, like he mentors the protagonists or something like that

I got respect for the man. He deserves respect for the work he put in.
"What people don't realize... the fans are the game" he is so right. Love this guy.
The problem people always seem to miss here is that He took someone's money for it, If he doesn't like being known as Trevor because he wants people to recognise his other work that's fine... But he shouldn't accept paid messages asking him to be Trevor just to shit all over the person who paid $140+, On cameo it's very easy to say no to a request.

I totally agree with that. You don't have to love your character but don't take the experience away from others that do.
He has explained in an interview, that he actually meant the portrayal to be like Trevor's. That was his interpretation. It may not be understandable from the get go, as the communication was not clear enough. But he seemed genuine in that interview (Brandon Sneed on YT hosted it), he doesn't understand the fans very well, but he does what he can to please them. I also noticed how he seems to take things a bit literally in general. Like how in VR, that was set up specifically for him, he was requested to shoot a person or steal a car as Trevor, and he wouldn't do it because it seemed wrong to him. Like he genuinely doesn't want to do things like that, even if it's not real. That being said, he has spoken very eloquently about the "games teach violence" issue. He is not a gamer in any way, but he sees the appeal of games like GTA to some people and doesn't find a problem with it. Like he cares to think about what people like, just doesn't care to like them himself. Which is perfectly fine, you know.

Lmao the line about swatting is pretty funny now.
i think part of the hate came from the gta youtubers signing up to his Cameo thing paying him money and saying hey "trevor" can you say this etc, instead of addressing him as his actual name steven ogg i seen their videos popping up an the way they went about it seemed very disrespectful, because you would see it in their videos he would start off with hi im Steven btw not Trevor
Yeah I 100% get where he's coming from. Fanboys are so annoying and act like actors are just fictional characters and not real people. I do feel like Steven could go about it a little better, like maybe just ignoring the cameos or politely telling people about not wanting to be known as Trevor, but I do understand his point of view.

I met Steven Ogg in person one time at a convenience store he was shooting some scene for something and was behind the cash register. I waited in line to purchase my stuff and when i got to the front i simply told him “hey man you know your the GOAT right ? “ he said “what do you mean “ i just said “your the greatest of all time man. You made my childhood and pretty much everyone other kid. Your a generational icon. I know you hate when people refer to that character but honestly man. Even in the walking dead and better call Saul I was a fan of what you did” he paused and a big smile came across his face. He said “thanks for sharing that, it means a lot to hear that instead of the way other people react to me” gave me a fist bump asked me about my dreams and aspirations and he said “keep going man, i can tell you got a bright future ahead of you dont let anyone get you down” and i left. Coolest experience ever and it was at a convenience store in hollywood one block up from the LA power and water station like the one in GTA😂 coolest experience ever man. He really is the goat trevor was my favorite character and it means a lot to know Steven is able to see that impact for once.
Ned Luke and Roger Clark seems to really love their characters and the games. Both guys seems wholesome.
“If you’re gonna swat my house, you’re an asshole.”
**HEY! QUIT SHOOTING ROCKETS AT MY HOUSE!**
Ned comes across as a likable person. He's happy to be in the position he's in and enjoys the attention which is the attitude that a person of commercial success should have.
Trever is so ungrateful.
Steven Ogg is taking the "I'm too big for this shit" approach that Ray Liotta had.
Ned Luke on the other hand is embracing it and is proud of it.
Damn he foreshadowed the swatting
The thing is that not a soul would ever know who he was if he never played Trevor, and the only other roles I know him from are better call Saul and walking dead and those were right after gta v, so he probably only got those roles BECAUSE of Trevor lol
Exactly
It’s probably got to do with him being mad about it too since it’s his most popular one
Trevor is undoubtedly Steven's most well known character. If he was so sick of being recognized as rhat alone then he should take it off his cameo account. Literally the first thing listed on there and he still sends back passive aggressive videos saying hes not a cartoon and wasting the patrons money. If he distanced himself completely and didnt accept money for those then I'd have more respect for him not only wanting to be known as that
He could also just be a mature adult and post a sincere video saying something like "hey guys, I know you see me as Trevor, and you love my role in the VIDEOGAME, but I would appreciate less of the constant requests to be trevor ,ok? i have other roles in other movies ive done, and the whole trevor character isnt the best show of my personality as an actor and im not as passionate about the role as you are." Just say something like that, and leave it alone. that's all you have to do. you wont lose any respect, people will understand what you are conveying, and you will be cool. Going absolutely nutcase wacko and yelling ITS NOT A CARTOON FUCK OFF and berating the fans, its not a good look. he looks really strung out in those cameos like he was on something.
The way ned handles fans when he gets annoyed, same with fonteno, they are very respectible people and just kindly say not to do such and such, or tone it down, and people respect that. they never lose their cool or berate the fans. even with being swatted ned is still being ned and loving the fans and the game and telling the hackers to piss off.

That very last thing he said. Couldn't have got it any more spot on. The fans are what makes the game, or show or film. And that's why we cannot stand it when corporate mindsets get a hold of these intellectual properties and squeeze the cow for all it's cash whilst we get the sourest of the milk.
3:43 anddd my respect for this man just skyrocketed. Thank you Ned for your incredible performance. Thank you for making this game possible. So many incredible memories have been made because of the work you did :D
Bro Ned Luke is fire bro I hope he’s doing well
What I love about Ned Luke is how he embraces the characters he plays. I'm very happy he got the roll and took it to such heights and it's because he's so willing to play with the fans and grab one guys phone and say, "you forget a million things every day, make sure this is one of them," that just knocks it out of the park. You just can't forget him. All those guys have to admit they have been a trio for 10 years in our eyes! They're in syndication on television, UA-cam, you name it. People replay those scenes literally a million times every day. That's more than Kirk, Spock, McCoy, the Three Stooges, just name the trio and they'll never compare to how much GTA 5 content is on every type of social media platform every day! And we ask for more!!! We literally can't get enough. And if GTA 6 doesn't do as well as we think it will, they'll be around for possibly another 10 years! And you know what? Everyone is happy with having them around.
I understand where Stephen is coming from because he's an actor that wants to be respected for his many roles. All he wants is people to say "excuse me Steven" or "Mr Ogg" can I please get a picture and an autograph? I love your work." Not "HEY TREVOR! LOOK IT'S TREVOR! OH MY GOD! TELL ME TO DIE! PUNCH ME IN THE FACE AND TELL ME TO F*CK OFF!"
This. I bet steven would have been cool with the request if the message had just started with "hey steven, could you say this in X voice/character" etc. etc.
Ned Luke’s views on things like the voice actor/performance capture thing is amazing. I love this dude
“You forget a million things every day pal, make sure this is one of them” Ned the legend
I can see where Steven is coming from tbh. He's kinda like Harrison Ford in a way, where he's done dozens and dozens of acting roles, but everyone only remembers him for one role. Like how everyone just related Harrison Ford with Han Solo and everyone related Steven as Trevor.
I guess he's just tired of being related and known for playing Trevor. He clearly want to branch out and be known for his other stuff, but when GTA V fans constantly refer to him as Trevor in real life, and even in movies when he's playing a completely different character, I can see why he would get annoyed at that. I'm sure he's happy that he played Trevor and he's aware of how much it boosted his acting career, but he just wants to be recognized for his other acting roles, not just for one role that he's done almost a decade ago now.
To be fair, for a good chunk of people Harrison Ford is actually Indiana Jones, but the point still stands.
For me whenever i hear Harrison Fords name i just think about Blade runner, star wars, and indiana jones, basicily his top 3 movies of all time
Ye I remember even his Walking Dead Role back in 2011 that's very forgotten btw and I feel like if he was in big roles like Better Call Saul and Walking Dead his credit is due
Harrison ford is Indiana Jones to me
When I think Harrison Ford my mind goes to Indiana Jones, then blade runner, then star wars. He isn't even the main character in star wars.
Ned Luke is such a damn nice guy. I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't like him.
2:55 meeting Ned Luke in a game store of all places would be the coolest thing ever.
No matter what type of industry, every actor's worst fear is to be typecast, right alongside being forgotten about altogether. This talented trio shouldn't have to worry about either.
The part that kills me the most is I’ll only see Steve as Trevor, when me and my friend were watching BCS as it aired and saw him we were like “yooo Trevor!” I’ve even gone out of my way to see his others works and in general he’s just “Trevor” and I can’t see past that
Trevor in GTA V was basically Ogg's breakthrough. And also the only thing he's ever been nominated/won an award for.
And I guess that's what his frustration is based on.
He should ask himself whether he would be where he is today, if it wasn't for that one role. Because I certainly don't think so.
It's a legendary role that he should embrace. If he doesn't appreciate it as much now, he will later on. It doesn't define him or his work but it will be one the biggest checkmarks of his careers. Every actor needs that defining role. And Trevor is a special character.
He did his part wonderfully... be happy Steven.
I'm happy 😁

I don't think he should be so pissy about it it's like Ned Luke says, as long as they recognize them for one of their work it should be cool. They're not top Hollywood stars or actors, they only had little roles and jobs as actors so it should be no surprise people don't recognize them much and GTA 5 is a popular game so if they recognize them even just for that one, they should still be happy

Really appreciate Ned's take on things, especially the actor/voice actor nitpick that a lot of actors have. Many artists make a very big deal out of the misconception, likely coming from a place of wanting to have their work taken seriously and not as a "cartoon", which I get. But there's just something refreshing and not as... snobby? About Ned's take here. Especially when you consider the misnomer is often accidental on the fans' part.
I gotta admit it sucks to know that Steven Ogg seems to have grown a bit more bitter about his time as Trevor. I remember seeing interviews with him, Ned & Shawn Fonteno waaaay back when GTA V came out. They had such awesome chemistry and Steven sounded like he genuinely had a great time.
Maybe it was just something that grew to gnaw at him over time, though I still personally think he has a lot to be proud of, and that his performance was way more than just a "cartoon". Dude's extremely talented, hope he gets to shine in another big role soon.
Very humble man you can tell even from his instagram how much he loves gta and its fanbase always see him talking to fans in his comment section and just being really nice, I'd love to see this guy on tv though like a big show I can see it eventually happening he gives the same vibes as michael rooker
I can totally get both of them, Ned embraced Michael in a way that he loves to be recognized by his voice, he has posters and likes to repeat voice lines from the game. Steven doesn't like to be only known by his GTA role, he wants to be remembered by being an ACTOR, not by being Trevor, GTA V came 10 years ago, I too would hate to be remembered only by a role I played a decade ago, even though I played several roles after it. In the end, I appreciate both of them as actors and respect their views on their GTA characters, they should and DO know they're iconic
I've never once seen GTA as a "cartoon" Those of us who play the games know the amount of work that goes into it. I see Trevor, Mike, and Franklin as roles. They breathed life into a couple of pixels on a screen. Even if you didn't mo-cap it (which they did), still a role. & the trio did an AMAZING job btw. There's a reason GTA 5 dominated over a decade. There's a reason the GTA 6 trailer got 98 mil views in a day. We see you as an actor Steven. It was amazing to see him in The Walking Dead and Better Call Saul too.
What a great saying “the fans are the game” too bad it’s all about money and not the fans anymore.
Imagine if Steven actually was into gta even just for the fun of it
It’s funny how they act like their characters, I get what Ogg is saying, except it doesn’t help his case was under the influence of something obviously went he went on his Trevor tangent. While Ned is very understanding and just appreciates what he has
There's nothing even close to wrong with being a voice actor is anything is better if you can get people to love you just because of how you sound. Everyone loves voice impressions after all
Michael is my favourite person from the trio, in real life, and in the game lol.
Michael wasn’t my favourite of the trio but Ned Luke is definitely my favourite of the irl actors. He seems so genuinely thankful for his fans, no bullshit and loves the games himself and I love it when actors play the games they're in because you always learn more about the characters. He deserves every minute of his "15 minutes of fame"
Sounds like a guy with a good personality and a small ego, certainly a likeable quality for someone in his position who is known for his great work.
Ned luke “Oh cool you’re getting a ps5 dude”
Kid “You forget a thousand things every day, make sure this is one of them”
At the 3:27 minute mark, Ned says "If you are going to SWAT my house, you are an asshole." Four months later to the day of this upload on the 23rd of November, Ned allegedly gets swatted and UA-cam algorithms puts this video on my feed. What are the odds? It makes me question the legitimacy of the incident.
Yup. He predicted his own future.. though, thankfully, Ned is a smart guy and already informed his local PD ahead before stupid sh*t like that happened so he only received like a welfare check instead of an actual raid.. if he wasn't aware about the whole swatting thing then who the hell knows what would've happened..
Apparently he has had issues for years with people doing weird stuff since the game came out. A friend of mine also did acting work for a Rockstar game and had a similar experience. Not with a serial SWATer but with a stalker
He’s awesome. I feel like a lot of his personality transferred into Michael’s relatively pragmatic, no-nonesense worldview.
A lot of actors and voice actors have this issue. They like the character and the game/movie but they want to be known for other things rather than just one thing only. Totally understandable.
But he didn't have to take it on his fan. Totally understandable, yes. How he dumped his frustration on an innocent fan? No.
@iankevinsevilla I agree, but I wasn't talking about that and I never said it was acceptable. All I said was that I understand the frustration of being known for one thing when you want to be know for other stuff
Nah, it's honestly pretty pretentious. Imagine getting mad because MILLIONS of fans love you for something great, yet you're so full of yourself that you can't embrace it. Not many actors get roles like this, most don't recognized for anything, let alone something loved/good. Get tf over yourself and pull the stick out of your butt.
Same thing seems to be happening with CJ's VA too and his rap career for the past couple years
Ned Luke is such an insightful guy. Love his performances and just how cool he is.
While it’s a shame Steven hates being called Trevor because it’s all he’s going to be recgonized for, he did a fantastic job in the role and it’s just the way things go.
He should just embrace it. He has millions of fans _because_ of that game and he's bitter about it. Petty af
He was kinda typecasted as Not-Trevor in Better Call Saul with an appearance in 2 episodes, and a very minor appearance in a season 3 episode of Person of Interest... but beyond that yeah I can't recall any role other than that by the man. I know he was prominently in Walking Dead but I don't watch it. But he does do an amazing job with the dark, violent / negative characteristics he is so well known for portraying
Same way on how Sean Connery grew to hate James Bomb
Being an actor can be hard, a breakout role can be all a person is known for. If youre like a super hero or in one of the most iconic videogames of all time (sometimes both), its hard to escape that character
McLovin, Kelso, and Stiffler.
After many years Ned is still proud of his role in GTA 5. I got to appreciate him for his work done.
we need more kind and wholesome actors and celebrities like Ned.
So basically Steven doesn't hate Trevor and the work he has put into the creation of the character, he is just tired of being known ONLY for Trevor when he has been and still is an actor for other projects and that he is also not really into gaming. It's really understandable that you want to be known for your other projects, not just only one role
There's nothing wrong with his thoughts on that, what is wrong about it is how he handles the situation and just exploded on camera and went on a big rant that games are just cartoons, f this, f that, and called the fans annoying little shits, stuff like that.
I mean that's on him, you can't blame the fans for just recognizing him in one of the biggest games of all time. Mark hamill is Luke but he's the joker too, harrison Ford has han and Indiana, Steven ogg hasn't land a role that big again, it's unrealistic to expect that fans will recognize him equally for every role. He was simon in twd but he was in the worst seasons (7 and 8), he was in better call Saul but for an episode or 2, not really memorable.
I really respect Ned Luke. He's such a chill guy and he's amazing to the fans. I really hope we see him in the future somehow
Chillest dude ever. He understand the situation but doesn't want to bother a bit since it's not his problem.
I really hope he grts another big role. He'd be sick as hammer hesd in Spiderman or some shit like thst. Like a mob boss or something
i like how steven ogg hates it like trevor would and ned luke loves it like michael would.
Just last week his house did get swatted thanks to a "fan"
Guys like Steven Ogg deserves alot more movie and TV roles I mean if the guy brought Trevor to life he could do so much more
Unfortunately, because of the way he looks and ..just is... he's going to be playing the same kind of roles his whole career. He was chosen for Trevor for a reason and its the same with his other bad guy roles, Trevor was just the craziest and most memorable because of the infamy of GTA. Ogg is great in everything he does and if he's chosen as a lead protagonist/hero in whatever project and does well, i'll eat my words.
Perhaps, but there’s a lot more actors who are just as great if not better than him. His “trevor” character separates him from the hundreds of great actors, and it highlights his entire career. He became distinct.
Steven Ogg was in Breaking Bad too.
Cartoon or not, that is him. He should be proud.
Ned Luke loves GTA 5
like Michael DeSanta loves 80s movies
I think Ned has the absolute best take on the whole performance capture/voice actor thing. You see guys like Roger Clark get upset when they’re called a “voice actor,” but he did spend countless hours in the booth doing the voice work for Arthur as well as the mocap. So it’s not technically incorrect to call him a “voice actor.” That’s not all he does, true, but it was a big part of the job. People are way too sensitive about that stuff if you ask me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of Roger and RDR2, but I think his outlook on it was a little ridiculous. Like Ned said, as long as you throw the word “actor” in there somewhere, who cares? He did the voice work and mocap work for Michael, as long as that gets recognized, it shouldn’t matter. “Voice actor” I think is a term people use as a generalization anyway, meant to encapsulate all the voice work and performance capture, it’s not meant as a form of disrespect, even though that’s apparently how some take it. Now I know it’s not always the case that someone does both the voice work and mocap for a character, Master Chief for example has two guys that bring him to life, Steve Downes for the voice and Bruce Thomas for the mocap.
I only ever see Roger Clark take it so negatively, and it is annoying to have to listen to him mention it in every interview he does. But I kinda get it because he's proud of his work on Arthur and just calling it voice acting kind of downplays it a bit I guess. But yeah it's like he forgets it's a compliment and takes it as an attack
And people are still talking about Roger Clarks performance in that game as a major standout. I hear almost nobody, even detractors of the game, say anything negative about Roger Clarks performance and it wouldn't surprise me that in 20 years, people will still talk about how he portrayed Arthur. Yes, they may misrepresent how he performed the role, but nobody is ever undervaluing that performance.
I love how honest Ned is. He’s like that guy you can go to to talk about anything
Trevor doesn't want to be called "Trevor." Trevor does Better Caul Saul acting like Trevor.......
Ned is absolute CLASS🙌 love this guy💪
