Man, thank you for this video. I own 2 pairs of those sneakers in black. One achilles low just like in the video, and the other achilles high-tops. I bought the first pair in the early 2010s. I really loved the quality of it. I wore them for 3 years almost every single day. The upper part was in good shape but the soles needed resoling. Long story short I did resole them, didn’t like the result, because it made them even heavier than they used to be, and so I stopped wearing them. In 2018 I saw a good deal on achilles high-tops, so I bought them as well. I did not spot it right from the box, but after a few months of wear, I've noticed that the leather wasn't as rugged and resilient to harsh weather conditions as my first pair used to be. And after a year of day-to-day wear leather even got little cracks. Today I saw your video. After I finished watching it I took both pairs and compared the thickness of the leather on the upper part. I do not have the tools that you have, but even by touch, feel and look I can tell that the older pair is much thicker, sturdier and has more quality to it and the younger pair looks like the one in your video. From that I can conclude that the brand decided to cut some corners after getting some recognition, which is very sad because the initial idea of luxury minimal sneaker and the product itself was great. If you like I can send the older pair to you so you can review it for everyone to see the initial quality of the brand.
i'll save him some time. dont buy these hipster bullshit "minimalist" sneakers. there so boring and have no character and i hate when i see someone wearing them. i'd say if you want a clean all white leather sneaker save yourself some money and get some classic adidas stan smiths.
I used to work for Superdry. There was a leather jacket that cost like £2 to manufacture, they sold it for £600. David Beckham was seen wearing it, so they decided to ratchet the price up to £2000. Most of their clothes are manufactured in Turkey very cheap and sold for ridiculous profit. The quality is no better or worse than a much cheaper brand.
All you have to do is have half a brain to notice superdry clothes cheap and low in quality after walking in to one of their stores even if you don't work there.
Although these items say "Made in Italy", the EU rules are such that products only need to finished in, in this case, Italy, to qualify as "Made in Italy". The majority of Dior ladies shoes are made in rural Romania in a factory Dior has there. They are taken to almost completion, then shipped to France for finishing, and marked "Made in France". When challenged, Dior was upfront about the process, said the technical skills in Romania were 2nd to none for cobbling, and that they were operating within the EU rules. I'm not sure the ladies who lunch would pay $2000 for Dior shoes if they saw "Made in Romania" on them.
Made in Italy only means so much nowadays too since it's filled with chinese immigrants, both legal and illegal. That's also how they were the worst european country affected by the pandemic.
@@luobomu9747 No, it's not at all the same as Swiss luxury watches, because they're actually made in Switzerland, and actually are luxury watches with extremely high quality engineering and craftsmanship behind them, usually entirely built by hand and require a lot of skill and precision to make them as good as they are. Don't compare a few pieces of of low quality leather and rubber to incredibly complex and accurate mechanical objects with hundreds of tiny moving parts all built and finished to perfection.
I have been lusting after some Saint Crispin boots, which seem to be some of the best made in the world. The only problem is they know it and charge accordingly.
@@tdombui have you ever cooked any meat without seasoning? Thats what it smells like. Its nothing like what you think. (Having been with a burn victim, burning hair smells worse).
Good Idea! When I was shopping and I see some of the women shoes worth so much. but when I held them in hand, they feel cheap, not much material, and indistinguishable from the cheaper alternatives. My BS alert was telling me they are just normal shoes with a big price tag.
This is the content that I didn't know I needed. Seeing you rip apart that sneaker was further proof-positive that companies overcharge for items where the craftsmanship is not worth it. Its sad but I'm glad that you've exposed it.
You say this like it’s some shocking revelation. OF COURSE these brands are overcharging you. You think Gucci loafers are fairly priced at over $700?! Why is any of this surprising to people here??
Shanks are put in shoes for support. Attached on the insole board and mainly used in heeled shoes, they do absolutely nothing in a trainer as they’re completely flat. So it’s very strange and a waste of material.
People got scammed, again, by publicity, youtubers and influencers, damn! This is so straight forward that I love it! You should keep going with minimal sneakers man, there are tons in the market, Koio, Oliver Cabell, Greats, Crown Northampton (I do feel CN do great shoes tho) and some others. Thanks for this again.
Without having ever held a pair of Common Projects I'd guess that Koio is on par with CP at almost half the price. I suspect Greats would be one of the best value to quality ratio. Greats just don't have the lowest of profiles that is so desired.
York Tan personally I’m looking forward for him to order some Crown Northampton that will be really interesting as it’s a very old company and not this new hype trash overpriced.
First time viewer very impressed THIS is the type of content we need i am tired of seeing expensive shoes with crazy prices that aren’t even worth the price
I think it'd be so interesting to see more luxury brands, just to really see who is just inflating prices and who actually is giving the 'luxury' product that they claim they produce (even though obviously a lot of the price is the name brand)
"it smells like burning flesh" Always be wary of a man who knows what burning flesh smells like and who owns a flailing knife that would fill Ramsey Bolton with jealousy... ;)
Erfi Anugrah Or he simply knows what it smells like because it has a distinct smell. Someone must have taught him that. He works with leather a lot, which is basically animal skin.
Common Projects is one of the brands I've always liked but never bought because of the price. New Republic makes a very similar version for $80. It's been compared plenty of times to Common Projects, would love to see a comparison video. So many have been done on New Republic's chelsea boot vs Common Project's boot but never seen it cut in half and dissected this way. Love the video.
999thenewman I remember when my son was a toddler. Every time I was working he always put his head between my head and the work I was doing totally blocking my field of vision, just like Toaster The Cat. Lol
I'm guessing 5 or 6 years ago, these would have "only" cost $150. In the intervening period, branded "luxury" good have gone up WAY more than inflation. Example : Burberry raincoats were c. GPB450. Then the new creative director came in, and immediately increased the price to GBP1,100. When asked why, he said that he needed to position his items as luxury, so they had to be in that price bracket. Same product. Just near 200% price increase.
When they first came out i think they were around 200. There were articles about it being sold at a lost to build brand recognition but pretty sure it was just marketing bullshit.
Makes sense to do that though, sad to say. Rich peoples income has grown faster than inflation, and the reason rich people buy products is to have something very few people have. So if you keep the price the same, you lose those customers.
@Ezra George no it's S O C I A L I S M when people make extra profit not because of their hard work, but because of their ties with the state or work for the state, because the money goes by the river and nothing needs to be done, they spend it as easily without thinking, for example, as Biden's son, who in Ukraine makes huge money on corruption schemes.
To shed light on the shank issue: Many factories use pre-molded texon insole boards with the shank glued between the layers of the midsole and insole boards. It’s pretty standard. The shank helps support the arch of the foot a bit bc the outsole has air pockets in the thicker heel area to increase cushion and also to reduce the weight of the shoe.
I've never heard anyone say that CPs are anywhere near the best quality you can get for sneakers. They're marketed as high-end minimalist shoes, they've never been about fancy craftsmanship or actual luxury.
@@P3storius You have never heard anyone ever say that? I've watched 5 UA-cam videos that literally compare other sneaker brands to cp Achilles lows to see "how they measure up".
@@an-9411 all I know about them is that they were pretty much the laughing stock of the online fashion community when I learnt about the existence of this subreddit
These videos actually do make a difference. I thought it was only that customers knew what they were buying. No, some of these companies, for instance saint Laurent actually changed to doing stacked heals after their expensive +1k dollar boot was taken apart and shown to have a cheap hollow plastic heal. To be honest I said I’d never buy a pair of expensive shoes. But now the next pair of shoes I buy will be, and I’ll be able to have them repaired and wear them until I die.
I like your new video format where you dissect and discuss component by component i.e. leather quality, followed by stitching and then insoles. It feels more organised and easier to take in info using this new format as opposed to your older videos where you dissect everything and discuss everything at once.
its not pretending. its having money you can throw away because you have it. Thats what luxury is. No one actually cares about the quality unless the shoe fell apart in a week. I have this shoe and would buy another pair lol

While I suspect your conclusion probably was correct, it's cool to see someone have such a good character.
Alan Ball, you have the meta awareness; the awareness of when you are lacking mental presence. It may sound like a joke, but it helps. In the middle of a tennis match, I may notice that on the last shot I had no clue what my feed were doing. I lack elite awareness, but far ahead of a novice.
That's just good analysis, not to come to a conclusion without collecting the facts. I suppose it's good character if he doesn't allow some prejudice ("pre-judge") to bias his conclusion.
@Alan Ball, Good example of Confirmation Bias- You were just waiting to praise him, as you made up your conclusions way before and just looking to justify your conclusions.
I bought a $30 full grain leather belt from Levi's which was made in Peru. Almost worn everyday for 17 years by now and still going strong. Cant find anything with similar quality at that price range nowadays
when cp first launched, a pair of achilles were significantly cheaper than they are now by a couple hundred bucks iirc, at that price the quality makes a bit more sense. over time the tag's gone up without the product getting any more luxe
Yeah I got mine for about £150 in the sales a few years ago and for that they're fine. Probably similar quality to something like New Balance Made in UK/US full grain leather or SLP white minimalist trainers. They've become ridiculously expensive for what they are cos of hipster hype,
I believe Hender Scheme does exactly what you're talking about where they take popular shoe silhouettes and recreate them with higher-quality materials. You should do one of their shoes!
In my opinion Common Projects despite the fact they don't offer the best quality are by far still the best looking "minimalist" white shoe, a cleaner design than anything on the market, the name lends a bit of mystique in that they're a little more of a niche solely in the shoe world and the cool little serial number thing looks great as well. For the style, they're among the most comfortable options outside of the Cabells for the extra width. Would love if they made a model that took into consideration your suggestions, but at the end of the day this is approaching money as no object at this price and if you want the best looking shoe in this style this is it.
i just watched another video of your's, zach put you up to this haha no wonder the content seemed similar! Amazing work though man keep it up wish you the best
@@charliehascall65 He said around $124 but of course, they get it for less because of bulk orders. So maybe they cost around $80 a pair. Still a rip off because I got some recently for around $250 on sale and the build quality was so bad out the box the sole was damaged I returned them immediately and bought some direct from Italy for less than half the price. They were way more comfortable and I could feel the quality instantly. Svenson is pretty much exactly the same as CP in Europe and they cost like $180. Jaks imo look great in all white too and the cost like $120 or under. Seriously can't understand the hype behind CP it's probably just the brand name. My next pair of white sneakers will be Koio and Greats.
@@zub41r75 You don't get much better price on bulk orders. The difference between 500 to 2000 pairs per year can be significant, but after you reach certain number you don't get that much. For example the difference between lets say 10k to 20k is just few % at most. If you compare them to Oliver Cabell where they wrote the price breakdown it cost around 110$... so I guess common projects cost the same or slightly more. Claiming that the shoes you bought are more comfortable that CPs is not really fair since some shoes requires some breaking and you didn't really own them long enough.
Common projects profits roughly the same as other shoe makers. The high price is, because they are selling through retail stores. The wholesale price is usually at 60% RRP so Common projects are selling their shoes for around 240$ to retail stores instead directly to consumers like Koio, Oliver Cabell etc.
Common projects: we are the best leather high end sneakers Rose anvil: “destroyed in seconds” such a great vid btw, keep the good job, you should try with another fancy sneaker brands like greats, koio and that kind of stuff
A wise business man once told me: "Most brands are usually the same. You aren't paying for the materials, you're paying for the name." Also, I think that metal shank was in there to add weight to the shoe. Because apparently, the heavier the shoe, the more expensive it is
Of course you're often paying for the brand. I don't think anyone paying $425 for sneakers will think otherwise. But some people like to pay for the brand. They are not just buying a shoe, they buy the whole image that goes along with that. If that's what makes someone happy, I don't see the problem.
Some commenters here don't seem to understand that paying for a brand used to be justified--that is, a brand used to mean good quality. Nowadays brands are either resting on their laurels or they're just creating "recognition" from marketing.
Great vid. I bought a black pair in early 2015 and wear them around 100 times a year. Still going strong and look like new with a good polish. Only issue i've had was with snapped shoelaces. Second longest lasting sneakers i've owned (behind some Lanvin hightops).
Could you review KOIO shoes? They are often considered a competitor to Common Projects. I'm very curious if they are a better choice for leather sneakers.
Koio has more full leather. CP has softer leather. This guy is also incorrect in saying that chrome tan leather is cheap and bad. That's factually incorrect. Any tannery, say Horween, will charge you $0.50 or $1 more for veg tan but that's because veg tan takes longer to process, not because veg tan is higher quality. This guy also doesn't understand the difference between full grain and top grain.... CPs are more sleek, Koio thicker leather but slightly more stiff, and also costs less.
Ha! I have those and actually did a review on many channel of them. They are really cool, and I would actually HIGHLY be interested in seeing this as well. (Though it'd still hurt my heart a little)

Thank you for this one. I've always seen these shoes in boutiques in Los Angeles and they can never give me a reason as to why they cost so much. "It's premium Italian leather" and that's all I'll be told.
Yeah I remember doing a thorough search on internet to find the leather grade and all I found was Italian Nappa Leather. I learned about Full-grain, Top-grain from Rose Anvil channel so I always wonder what grade is Italian Nappa then.

AK Milli They are certainly not “trash” quality. I know this because you couldn’t name a better quality sneaker of this sort. Perhaps you means they aren’t worth the full retail price.
Jerry Jimenez I got a few of mine half price by getting 2nd hand. I noticed the later batches being stiffer on the upper, but I’m not sure if they changed production since I have 5-6 pairs from 2015 time.
I'm not really sure who you've heard from about Margiela GATS being of quality because nothing in regards to leather from Margiela is of high quality. People buy from the brand because of the cultural value and unique little changes the brand does to preexisting designs. Not even any of my Pre-Diesal buyout of the company Margiela leather garments (5zip and boots) are of comparable quality to brands that specialize in this type of thing. I think it's important to understand that with fashion, you aren't buying an item as much as you're buying an idea.
TheGiantBunnysaid False, You obviously don’t shop / buy that much designer, it’s obvious when you look at Margielas next to other designer shoes in stores such as saks, Neiman Marcus etc the quality and construction is much better and of higher quality than other designer brands. In terms of designer clothing MARGIELA IS MUCH HIGHER QUALITY THAN GUCCI, PRADA ETC. Margielas are couture quality.
My replica lows are the best pair of shoes I’ve owned. Have golden gooses, YSL, CPs, Gucci, givenchy, Koio, every Nike sneaker you can imagine, even Minnetonka moccasins. Nothing tops them.
Adrian Villanueva there has been a couple of cobbler-type youtubers that have done similar videos on Thursday boots. They’re definitely worth the price you pay for them but not exactly matching the quality of the highest of the high end boots, which is kind of expected and not a deal breaker for most.
@@sk8rrockstar12 I'd say it's a deal breaker for boot enthusiasts as they are willing to spend 400+ and wear their boots regularly. If you really only see yourself wearing boots every once in a while, thursday is probably a good purchase.
i pulled the trigger on thursdays and am happy with the results for the most part. by no means a perfect boot. after a few pairs, leather quality on one pair was a little disapointing but not a deal breaker, another had stitching issues etc. but for the price i wouldnt complain. half the price of common projects but the same if not better quality in my opinion.

As a shoe recommendation: I think it would be interesting to see the leather Adidas Ultraboost. The idea of a leather running shoe is pretty interesting to me, but they cost about $200, so they're out of my price range (At the moment of writing this comment they're on sale for $140 on Adidas' website though, which is more reasonable).
yeah, I agree. Brooks and Hoka make very good running shoes. It's just interesting to me that Adidas took their flagship running shoe and decided to make a leather version.
Ultraboosts cost $180 at retail though now you can get them on sale for under $100. Don't buy them for the leather buy them for the comfort. And the leather on them looks really cheep.
You can always find them on sale. Just google your model and color. Other reputable sites sell ultraboost cheaper than adidas. And adidas.com just had 30% off sitewide couple a days ago and b4 that maybe like 6 weeks ago (get on the email list and you'll catch it next time). Ultraboost is THE most comfortable creation for walking and running. 9 outta 10 times i pick them over my designer leather kicks. Highly recommend ultraboost'19 and/or '20 to everyone who hasn't tried them yet.
Really interesting for me to watch. I bought CPs back in 2006, when I was still in school. They lasted me 6 years and were a great shoe, back when they were known as a 'budget' fashion shoe. I don't know if the manufacturing side of things changed between 2006 and now, but I would not pay modern prices for them, seeing as I paid 60% of the modern price. I'll stick to a cheaper everyday shoe like Converse, or shoes that validate the price.
Indeed. They are not 425$ shoes. They were half the price and due to the hype they kept increasing the price. I can't blame them. If the demand is higher than what you supply, why shouldn't you increase the price?
I’d like him to cut in half a playdium boot. Yes, we all want to know the higher end ones but especially if he’s spending his own money he needs time to recover wallet wise lol plus I am interested.

Thanks for the video, very interesting. I have shoes made in the same factory and ones that look very similar and retail for almost as much (slightly less). Diemme Veneto Low. I bought my first pair in white in 2015 and they served me well until 2019 when they finally started to fall apart. I would be interested to hear about your thoughts on Loro Piana footwear, Tods Sneakers and Prada.
This was crazy informative, these shoes are widely considered to be some of THE highest quality around lol. I think the aspect that makes people think this way is that they almost dont crease at all, would that be a correct assumption? better leather doesnt crease?
Some high quality leathers roll over instead of folding however within a shoe you cannot distinguish the quqlity without cutting it and seeing for yourself
I would love to see an "over-time" series. Something like the same design over different years to see how in reality how manufacturers most likely cheapen products over time.
A lot of "Italian" soft goods are actually made by what are essentially Chinese factories located in China. Not many westerners know this, but if you research the topic of Chinese fashion factories in Italy, you can see why the word "Italian" doesn´t mean what it used to.
It doesn’t matter what race the people making it are, the country has better labour and enviromental laws and generally higher production and qc standards.
There's no point in doing this for luxury brands like SLP or Gucci, because their high price tag isn't due to perceived quality, but brand name. It only works for brands like Common Projects who's price tag is justified by their supposedly superior quality.
some years back i took apart an pair of air force 1's. i'd say that they were manufactured in 2002. i was disappointed at how there was so little to them. i liked the leather upper but between the upper and the sole was a plastic wedge and the sole was pretty thin... opened my eyes to how things are made and what they really cost!

I work with leather part time, making bags and journals. Use Horween and sometimes Antelope hides from Europe. There is a big difference in quality, but most products appear to be made with the "genuine leather" garbage material. I recently got a watch from Seiko (watch fanatic with small collection, I don't normally buy watches under 1k because this is what happens) and thought at that price point (425) the strap would be a decent leather but is absolute crap "genuine leather" and feels like plastic. Finding quality takes a lot of research thanks for the content.
As a watch enthusiast at that price, I wouldn't expect the seiko strap to be great leather a that price point (not that Seiko is bad watch by any means) but fortunately you can buy aftermarket straps that are of higher quality and breath new life in a watch ;)

I do not have the tools that you have, but even by touch, feel and look I can tell that the older pair is much thicker, sturdier and has more quality to it and the younger pair looks like the one in your video.

Good for everyone, the brand is folding and prob won't be around for much longer
@@happyforfun123 Even in the pictures, it's easy to tell it's just a cheap brand lol.
how much was the actual labor, plus import fees and fabric to manufacture the jacket? its a lot more than just 2 euro. still cheap to make tho
People are braindead now adays, just get replica pieces for the exact same quality and considerably cheaper.
Same thing with "Swiss" luxury watches.
Romanians are actually pretty skilled workers, for sure way better than those lazy italians nowadays, Itali is history at manufacturing quality stuff

Most shoes have a bit of metal in them for arch support.
I bet the shape of the shank is already shaped like a dagger and presharpened 😂

Without having ever held a pair of Common Projects I'd guess that Koio is on par with CP at almost half the price. I suspect Greats would be one of the best value to quality ratio. Greats just don't have the lowest of profiles that is so desired.

15 years ago they cost the exact same price. They've been around for quite a while.
@@MrSharp-yg1wb you on crack bruh
To shed light on the shank issue: Many factories use pre-molded texon insole boards with the shank glued between the layers of the midsole and insole boards. It’s pretty standard. The shank helps support the arch of the foot a bit bc the outsole has air pockets in the thicker heel area to increase cushion and also to reduce the weight of the shoe.

Unfortunate results... I was hoping these would live up to the hype

It's so you can smuggle it onto an airplane. Top quality built in.
Really like this new format where you're slowly breaking down the shoes!

The idea of a leather running shoe is pretty interesting to me, but they cost about $200, so they're out of my price range (At the moment of writing this comment they're on sale for $140 on Adidas' website though, which is more reasonable).
yeah, I'd love to see the Ultraboost S&Ls cut open for sure.
yeah, I agree.
Give us your opinion on the highest quality leather shoes at various categories and various price points. Hella content.
Seriously guy, will no one else comment on the cat sitting on the half of the shoe in 10:02?!! Favourite part of the video
I got mine 6 years ago when they’re are cheap. Still looking mint today
i would be interested in a tear down of classic Dress shoes like allen edmonds, Ludwig reiter, churchs or trickers
let's go for church's
Personally think those kind of brands wouldn't care cut corners on the leather. Their market is very different from the one these are catering to.
@@asianbboy911 Yeah, also the make no secret of how their shoes are made. It would be rather uninteresting. Maybe if you cut up some vintage ones and compare them. But that would be just tooo sad.
TRICKERS
Church’s are Prada nowadays, and use awful processed finished leathers
I have three pairs of this brand and I quite like them in terms of looks and comfortability. I can't argue with what you say on the quality standpoint. Granted, I have enough shoes where I don't wear them all the time which would show serious signs of wear. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the video, very interesting. I have shoes made in the same factory and ones that look very similar and retail for almost as much (slightly less). Diemme Veneto Low. I bought my first pair in white in 2015 and they served me well until 2019 when they finally started to fall apart. I then bought a second pair in brown in 2019 and wear them to this day in warm seasons. Given that I'm a heavy guy (193 cm, 95+ kg) and absolutely shred through shoes, these stand the test of time and I absolutely love them. So I don't know about Common Projects but the factory that makes them can make a good shoe IMO.
He's like a shoe version of Jerry Rigs Everything. And I luv that cat
He's friends with JerryRig
He gave him the idea for the channel.
What about Maison Margiela, Filling Pieces and other brands pretending to be premium? Could you please reviev these too? Thumb up pls, so he can see.
maison margiela is actually good quality
Filling Pieces is cheap shit
Maison Margiela is worth every penny
i just got a pair of geobaskets and i really wanna know whats inside these babies.
wackwoods you bought em for 510?
Really informative stuff, I appreciate that you appropriately criticized this shoe. It's certainly overpriced, but it's not a bad shoe. It's definitely a step up from vans, but they're also definitely not worth $400+. I just ordered a wallet from you guys online, I appreciate all the awesome stuff you do :)
Love the cat sleeping at the end. Text book cat move, awwww yeah
Really well done video. As someone who prides himself on wearing quality sneakers and footwear, I also learned from this video. Me personally, I usually don't spend more than $200-250 on 'premium' sneakers. Wait for sales, be patient and buy what I can afford. I would be interested to hear about your thoughts on Loro Piana footwear, Tods Sneakers and Prada.
Lol I don't know those brands. Only Prada
This was crazy informative, these shoes are widely considered to be some of THE highest quality around lol. I think the aspect that makes people think this way is that they almost dont crease at all, would that be a correct assumption? better leather doesnt crease?
Simba Pl no normal leather creases on the flexpoint
Some high quality leathers roll over instead of folding however within a shoe you cannot distinguish the quqlity without cutting it and seeing for yourself
He mentioned in another video that an expensive leather like shell cordovan will roll rather than crease
It used to be high in quality. It has gone downhill.
Is there anything that has gone up in quality? I am sure there is something somewhere.
My 2 requests to cut in half:
Saint Laurent Wyatt boots
Veja Sneakers
YoI'mJoe I don’t think you want to watch him do the Wyatt lol. While I love my pair, he would tear them apart.
sent a pair to him
im sure he more than happy to tear them
Wyatt's are one of my best boots ever, Had them for 3 years+ and don't have a single crease on them. Insane Quality.
I’ve got 2 pairs of wyatt boots and love them, would be very interested to see the build quality
bruhh, most of the youtuber always say nice things about stuff online, this guy hands down one of the rare breed! thank you sir!
Maybe Palladium sneakers or boots be interesting.
Its like chuck taylor with "commando" sole...why bother?
I would love to see an "over-time" series. Something like the same design over different years to see how in reality how manufacturers most likely cheapen products over time.
I friggin love when Toaster comes and sits on something in these videos
A lot of "Italian" soft goods are actually made by what are essentially Chinese factories located in China. Not many westerners know this, but if you research the topic of Chinese fashion factories in Italy, you can see why the word "Italian" doesn´t mean what it used to.
It doesn’t matter what race the people making it are, the country has better labour and enviromental laws and generally higher production and qc standards.
I’d be interested in his opinion about Saint Laurent Paris Wyatt Boots.
There's no point in doing this for luxury brands like SLP or Gucci, because their high price tag isn't due to perceived quality, but brand name. It only works for brands like Common Projects who's price tag is justified by their supposedly superior quality.
@@taylormerriam4627 lol why do people who don't know shit always act like they do
@@taylormerriam4627 NAHHH bro the wyatts are legendary for the quality as well as the brand. I feel what my man @tng is saying. thatd be so sick
@@nateratliff3718 Why do you know the quality of women shoes?
The probelm with YSL is mainly the design in the last years. Horrible
some years back i took apart an pair of air force 1's. i'd say that they were manufactured in 2002. i was disappointed at how there was so little to them. i liked the leather upper but between the upper and the sole was a plastic wedge and the sole was pretty thin... opened my eyes to how things are made and what they really cost!
Just say it. "This shoe is crap, and it's not worth your money"
But then r/mfa tards will get angy :(
I've owned a pair of these, they're obviously over priced, but they aren't an uncomfortable shoe, and they do hold up fairly well for a pair of sneakers.
@@MrRockrazer I bought it for the design and for its fit anyway. For me I got my money's worth, it's obviously far better value than most streetwear shoes
@@fannykeith You can get the exact same design for 50
@@sneaky_krait7271 No you can't. You can get a close design, you can't get anything that is the exact silhouette.
I love your work here. Your passion and attention to the details is over the top. You are the kind of guy I would want to buy shoes from!
another pair of expensive shoes that you could do is golden goose, there are many styles but if you did a more basic style like all star or ball star that would be insteresting to see if the quality matches the price
gaymer I have faith that they live up to the hype..I hope they’re not a bust. Seems like everything is not what it is haha
The cat is majestic and good to see he’s interested and helping 😂🤙
From a technical perspective, good thing there's a guy who checks the quality of the shoes we buy. Thanks for the review :)
