Me too. Have a 85 inch Sony Bravia. It’s soooo much better being in handheld and besides that it’s still mind blowing to have my ps5 in hand without the big tv.
Knew I was going in for surgery on the 18th with about a week of recovery before release so I packed my portal 😂 and it was 100% great as hospital WiFi was blazing & my hotspot from my Verizon phone never had 1 issue…completed 2 full seasons of cfb 25 before being released today 🤣

Not only did you show me how to connect to my hotspot but seeing this video allowed me to know there was an update & now I can play this in my hotel that I’ve been in for almost Two weeks now for the military. I was using my iPad and an actually ps5 controller because I couldn’t connect to the WiFi. Now I can and MK1 is playing flawless with this update. Thanks again for staying on stop of the new new info.
@@dynamicfundz2 with the recent updates on iPads if you have a ps5 controller you can hold down the camera button and PlayStation button at the same time until it starts to flash and you can connect it as a Bluetooth device. Then use it for any game or cloud play app.
I sold my Playstation Portal and now because of this video I wish I didn't but thanks to you and this video I'm buying another one, thanks I wanted somebody to make me want another Playstation portal and thank god it's you brother subbed and left a like thanks brother?!!
I think this update being new and me looking at portal reviews like crazy the last week, I’m going to pull the trigger on one today. I’m slightly concerned for lag as I play on an OLED monitor, but I’m going to be playing a ton of college football 25 on it. How Madden looked makes me optimistic for college football 25. The PS Portal is a great but it is definitely not for anyone with a spotty internet connection at the PS5. Most people don't account for how the PS5 is connected to the internet. I have used my Portal nearly everywhere (hotels out of town, public wifi, mobile hotspot....etc) and the thing that has made the biggest impact on my enjoyment of the Portal is having a WIRED connection to my PS5. When I first got the Portal at launch I had my PS5 connected via wifi and even though the 5ghz Wifi connection wasn't terrible, it didn't quite feel like it was like playing on my PS5. Once I connected via a wired connection, that was the gamechanger....all of the micro stutter, low level lag or random disconnects stopped. It was truly like gaming on my PS5. If you can get a reasonable wifi signal when connecting the Portal to the internet, a wired PS5 connection will NEVER fail you and the only lag or disconnect you will get will be from the internet you are using to get internet signal on the Portal.
Thanks Tanner! With the portal your going to experience the occasional stutter from time to time but your quickly get used to it and if you have solid WiFi in your home then you can get it to work wherever you are in the world. Hope this helps!
I'm debating about selling my portal, it's cool and I like it for what it does what I just feel as if the streaming quality is just not there yet when I compare it to when I'm playing on the actual console
The portal isn't for everyone especially if your playing competitive! I usual play slower paced game on the portal which isnt too bad since I was a COD junkie for years. 😂 hope this helps Ta🫡🔥🎮

In HD2, Double tap the O button whenever you're having a status effect like poison or burning, it'll instantly stop it and will save you from using a stim.

Mine has never worked better. I've been playing Ghosts of Tsushima and CFB25 seamlessly. Really enjoy having the Portal while my pregnant wife streams her shows.
They should figure out how to make the PS portal, not streamable we should be able to play the games that are installed only and if you wanna play the games that are not installed, you either install them on the PS App or the PS5 itself it sucks that we have to stream our PS5, but I still love the PS portal though
During these different tests (wifi/hotspot) was your PS5 connected to wifi or ethernet cable? I apologize if I missed you saying this during the video.

I just bought mine yesterday but I’m having issues with staying connected to my PS5 through my T-Mobile hotspot. The display on my Portal is terrible and doesn’t stay connected very long
I want to give the Portal a second chance, I bought mine over a year ago and hated the connectivity issues and lags I had on mine (my internet was 500mb download and 15mb upload) not sure what it was but I heard the upload speed have to be over 20mb, is that true?
I can’t figure out why you’re saying it’s great, but during your local Madden play through, it seemed like there was a bunch of minor stuttering and audio hiccups. Is this the video incorrectly portraying your experience, or is this what you’ve come to expect as “great”?

A tip for using your hotspot: turn off the low battery setting on your iPhone. It diminishes your internet connectivity

It doesn't have to be "On". You can power it down into rest mode and it'll wake up once you want to connect wherever you are in the world

Get a lan cable and connect from the ps5 to the route. Makes the lag go away for the most part.

I have a T-Mobile hotspot and mine has yet to work with mine unfortunately.
theres an option on your phone that allows the portal to connect to a 5hz channel in your hotspot. that should help a lot

Upgrade your router… not your WiFi your router. I got an asus router and connected it to my modem and the difference is night and day
