It's really a pity that the two best sniper rifles in the game have such a horribly synergy with vel0city considering it's Zer0's only constant gun damage boost and one of two constant crit damage boosts.
Superslash Well. It's pretty neat, especially on Vladov Snipers but technically not a constant bonus because it takes a bit of time to get the full bonus.
Fun fact about the Elephant Gun and Teapot, they had unique gun bodies which had no stat boosts, unlike how the normal gun bodies do (which is what causes the main stat differences between white/green/blue/purple guns). Part of the reason they were so bad, since they were literally worse than white gear in that regard. UCP 4.1 fixed that.
Sad they changed the barrel because the reason it had a hyperion barrel in the first place was to make it look like yhe elephant gun from the first game.
I'm eager to see you redo the Landscaper as they changed the patterns of the pellets, added more pellets, removed self damage, and I think they made them instantly explode if near an enemy. Haven't tested with Axton, though so I don't know if it got grenade damage
Now it really can compare to the glorious elephant gun from borderlands 1 which had a very accurate iron sight. The bl1 elephant gun was really fun to use, while bl2 elephant gun just sucked but with this community patch version it really looks like it can come at least somewhat close to its former glory in bl1.. even thought it still lacks accuracy :/
I hope whenever these community patches come to an end Gearbox decides to put these patches into the base game and into the Handsome Collection through updates.
Luke, you should try stack critical ascension and see how quickly the elephant gun will kill the invincible's or if it can. I think that would be a pretty interesting challenge
I wonder if you could potentially use this gun while specced heavily into 1s1k, fast hands, killer, and at one with the gun, and focus on getting one shots then reloadin.
Additionally, this thing could absolutely shred if you 'rotate' it with a lyuda for stacking, and a morningstar, plus a slag chere amie for healing and slagging.

I wish we could get rid of the idea that the EG is supposedly bad because it can't build Critical Ascension stacks. CA is for Droogs, and the entire point is to compensate for precisely the lack of single hit base damage in Droogs, which the Elephant Gun has. I use the Lyuda for boss killing, and the Elephant Gun for one shotting humanoids. Neither gun is bad; they have very different use cases. The Elephant Gun simply is not meant for sustained fire.

Elephant Gun has its own style with that Hyperion barrel and its looking better in original. Also on UCP 4.0 it has a huge damage as well so I see no reason to use UCP 4.1. Btw try this gun with The Bee and you will be surprised.

I have been using the Otto Idol on OP8 Gaige along with two topneaa, Grog, and either a lvl 26 badaboom or a slag Pimp; Legendary Anarchist for more damage, Longbow Slag Transfusion, and a Sham. I only put three points in Blood soaked shields, the thought being that the Otto Idol replenishes more than BSS takes out. It works great, as long as I am getting kills..... Co-op; well lets just say I am glad the other guy has res.

It probably did. Pretty much all splash damage/explosive guns that were changed with the UCP do get grenade damage bonuses now.

Honestly I really like the Sniper rifles in BL2 without scopes.
I like that without the scope, the gun still had a higher zoom than a regular scoped gun

Just make a copy of your game files as a backup then watch a tutorial on youtube. I can't think of any reason why there would be a problem with it.
