Can you imagine Pat Burns coaching the young leafs of today? Those guys would quit on Burns from the get go...Burns had a very tough character....these kids would feel intimidated with that stare alone. If he yelled at them those kids would run to their parents right away....mamiiii!!!!! and burns would be sued for verbal abuse. This new generation of players feel so entitled that if he asked each of them to play harder, they would say "i'll see what i can do". i'm not questioning their skills because they have plenty of it and more than Burns teams...but if they don't have the heart and passion then they're always gonna be eliminated in the first round.
