Heartbreaking watching him sitting there, weird, but he looks like the loneliest guy on earth even with all his mechanics around him, definitely a lot on his mind and feeling a lot of pressure there. RIP Ayrton, we'll never forget you.
I'm Brazilian and i can say, Senna was the greatest pride of our nation! I was only six years when he died, and since that day my eyes fill with tears when I see your picture. Ayrton Senna... My Seninha... Forever in my heart...
This never gets any easier to watch. It certainly looks like he knew what was coming. So sad, if only he had walked away. RIP Senna, you will never be forgotten
he was not a human like us... he knew something was about to happen, and his face says everything. Senna was A idol not just for us Brazilians, but for many fans all over the world, including shumacher, prost, and lewis hamilton. He wrote his name in our history cuz he was iluminated, like we use in boxe, he has the "sugar". He was respected for what he made. His death hurts even now a days. but for sure we can never forget this god of the sports.
In an interview he said once he was able to relax and deep sleep inside his car right before races. You can see he could not do that in this video nobody will ever know what was bothering him but for sure broke his concentration which was one his best gifts. He also made peace with Prost who was his rival in the circuit and some how outside too. He said on the radio from the car: This race is for my dear friend Prost. R.I.P. Senna.
I was six, and I remember it crystal clear, I cried. There was something very special about him, and I feel too Formula 1 died also on that day. He did smile before starting the race, looking at berger, whose name was announced and the tifosi cheered like crazy. He was glad for his friend... RIP Senna
2 quotes belong with this video I believe. "God shows me the way" -Ayrton Senna "Racing, competing... it's in my blood. It's part of me..... and it stands up, before anything else." -Ayrton Senna He may be gone but he will never be forgotten, and the impact he had on the sport will be here until F1 is gone. Hundreds of years from now, people will still know who he is, what he did, and why it was so amazing.
U could see in his eyes...he had that slight feeling that the end is near. They do say that us as humans always have a slight feeling of when we gonna die, but we ignore it. Senna was a legend and always will be.
an artist of the steering wheel the very best in f1 racing CANT NOT BE COMPARE WITH NOBODY no matter the championships the (RAINMAN) R.I.P my brother. we miss you and love you SENNA forever
I was playing a video game called "Super Monaco GP 2", or more accurately "Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP 2". I was very young, about 8 years old and I was playing this game and my dad told me that Senna had died. I remember being upset then not knowing how great a driver he really was, and not having much of an appreciation for Formula 1 as it was all too new to me... Senna was a great driver... Watch him drive the Honda NSX at Suzuka operating the pedals wearing loafers! Amazing. RIP.
i was born in 1991 and i wish i hadseen him driving...i have heard so many things...he is a real legend...he will never die in our hearts....greetings from greece...R.I.P. airton...
This is so so sad... I was 14 years old when I watched that race, that crash... Although I still occasionally follow F1, it has died with me that day when Senna crashed. This is the best driver of all time...
i used to get up whenever senna raced just to watch him, i've never cared about racing or cars since then, i remember the crash and heard he went to hospital and then went to bed woke at 6am to find out what happened and the radio said he died i cried for hours, i cried the whole day on way to school, it was like a family member died, murray walker is doing clipsal 500 in adelaide and i recall his commentary " senna spin spin spin" brought a tear to me eye again R.I.P Senna you legend
I completely agree with the idea that he knew something wrong that day. That day was not only the nightmare of Formula 1 history but also a loss a very big star from the sky. RIP Senna.
I have never seen this one before. It is just amazing. Second 10-11 of this video it's amazing. It's like he was thinking "I have a very bad feeling about this race, really really bad...but I'm a racing driver, this is what I love most, and there's nothing I can do about it, it's in my blood, so I have to start the race no matter what, that's just the way it is"
I remember that I missed the start of this race, I woke up late on that Sunday and I kid you not, I dreamed that Senna had had an accident, but that he was fine, but out of the race. I was 12 and my brother 8, he woke me up yelling: "Senna had an accident, Senna had an accident, he hit the wall!" My brother was watching the race with my dad and as I entered the room, my dad gave me a concerned look, a mix of concern and dispear. Soon after, on that evening, the world would know that Senna had died. I remember the sadness that took place in my country that day, a day that became weeks and years, F1 would never be the same for us, brazilians, we are still passionate by it, but our greatest pride died in that Imola race. And my dad, he would never watch a F1 race again.
I will never forget that day. He was remarkable because just when you thought he was just an incredible racer, he showed you just how smart and righteous he was. When you thought he was too tough he showed incredible humility. This is why millions to this day wont forget him...R I P Legend you are to this day an incredible inspiration to us all.
Even almost 30 years later, this doesn't get easier to watch. As if he would know that something isn't right. His last prayers to God, before he departs, but forever, on his last 7 laps, to meet the love of God. Ayrton, there's never gonna be another you!
This is agonising to watch. It's as if he's pleading for someone to give him the green light to get out of that car. God, how we still miss him. Simply the best of all time.
this footage always creeps me out ´cos his atitude and having very distant thoughts , just like if he knows something´s not right or somethings gonna happen.. RIP CHAMPION !!! Your are the best F1 driver EVER !!!! imfao

I was very upset when he died but was not developed with my abilities then and never "checked him" till last night. It broke my heart to check him, feel that he was off enough that he should not have been racing. But like you said how could he not race even if he didn't want to. Checking him I realize that he died because he was too good of a person and he internalized things that happened to him.
He sure looked like he would have rather been anywhere else. I was fortunate enough to have seen his last win at Adelaide right across from his pit. what a bittersweet memory.
wow....i feel...i feel soooo bad right now im about to cry...this legend mustnt die..but i guess that was his destiny...RIP Senna!!!!you will be in our hearts for ever!
He's not a godlike creature. He was in the way he was handling a Formula 1 car, but not in his mind I'm sure. It is not like he knew he was going to die. If he knew, he wouldn't have raced that day. It is tempting to translate these video images to his state of mind at that time, but you just can't be sure of what he was thinking. He was probably worried. It is only natural to be like that after a casualty the day before, every F1 driver out there probably was. It is a privilege to have seen Ayrton on the circuits and he will always be remembered.
