Achei interessante que a palavra usada para se referir a geladeira em alguns países, se parece muito com "frigideira", que é a panela que usamos para fritar.

Acho que, nos países em que se usa uma palavra parecida com frigideira para se referir ao refrigerador, isso surgiu como uma abreviação da palavra refrigerador, mesmo. Como no inglês refrigerator = fridge.

We tend to call them "mobiles", but yes, more so "phones", or more formally "smartphones".

We also say: vamos fazer uma "call", when it's a fast meeting. But that happens only in business, like in large/medium size companies, and also it's more often used in meetings between 2 companies, when it's a meeting inside the company it's oftenly called "reunião"

Here in countryside of São Paulo, quite a lot of people say "oreia" in the singular or "zoreia" in the plural, instead of the standard "orelha(s)". So the Quebecois and the Creole words hit close to home to me.
It cames from "As orelhas", but than it become "as orelha" that some people colloquially pronounce as "azoreia" (like "a zoreia", that's where it cames from)

@@antoniopera6909 Aqui onde eu moro existe uma clara diferença entre singular e plural dessas palavras, só no plural o z é adicionado. Olho vira ôi, olhos vira zói, até a vogal é diferente. É como de esse S do artigo fosse reanalisado como um prefixo de plural, de forma generalizada e não restrito a só essas palavras, minha avó por exemplo não fala "oh, meninos" quando nos chama e sim "oh, zminino!". Além disso, a gente não faz concordância de plural, então isso só acontece com substantivo. Na verdade, uma frase típica no nosso dialeto (caipira) tem pouco plural e quase nenhuma conjugação (ex. eu vou, cê vai, ele vai, nóis vai, eis vai, cêis vai).
