I just acquired the game with their reprint, this video was extremely helpful. I have only played on BGA until now, so I didnt grasp the things done automatically.
I've decided to buy this one after thinking about it for a while. Fortunately, the game's still available at BackerKit as of June of 2019. Thanks once again for another wonderful solo gameplay, Liz!
Really enjoyed this video. Very clear and easy to understand. Loved the English accent as well "The Bowling Green" :) Game purchased! Can't wait to play it.
Funny that you thought bowling was with balls and pins. Bowling in the UK is actually related to the French jeu de boules, without pins. Awesome game though and something I will look out for in my FLGS or during conventions.
I just noticed that she is playing the first edition. There are a number of rules changes from 1rst to 2nd edition. In the 2nd edition the main board is different, and the tiles have numbers on them that make it easier to put them in order.
Looks interesting. I don’t quite get why it’s called Obsession though. My grandmother was in service in Yorkshire between the wars. I don’t think it was quite this hectic though! Quite amused that you thought a bowling green would have pins 🤣. Also Derbyshire is pronounced darbie-sher. 😉 Thanks for the play through. I’m tempted...
I enjoyed your joy in this playthrough. You’re too much fun Liz!

This was so fun listening to you teach this game with tons of thematic flair!

For the record this is an old video but I've already racked up like 20+ plays of Obsession this year. It's a great pick. lol
Also if you are on BGA, I'm BeyondSolitaire on there and more than happy to play with you asynchronously!
Thanks Liz! Your video helped me a lot before starting my first solo play :)
fun to watch!

I identify most strongly with the trashy yet fabulously wealthy American heiress in this game. :P
I may be wrong, but I am pretty sure you get to keep all five objective cards and you score two at the end.

Does this game have much replay value that would be interesting to hear?

I think the idea is that everyone is obsessed with those rich and attractive Fairchild heirs. ;)
Beyond Solitaire ah... times were much simpler then. No Tinder!
Oh - ironically they no longer ship to the UK. All sold out 🧐
KS Second printing (with a new expansion and some improvements) ends in a couple of days. I haven´t decided yet...
