Well to be fair, unlike Jaime and Cersei, Jon and Dany don't KNOW they're blood relatives. That makes the difference. They aren't committing incest on purpose. Also...incest is sort of the Targaryen's thing and Rhaegar was actually an outlier marrying two non-related women. Their parents were brother and sister and so were their grandparents, ect.

It was only their thing after Aegon the conqueror. And the result was a growing tendency toward insanity. Jon doesn't suffer from this because he's half Stark and isn't as inbred as Daenerys.

When if they took time to read the stories they would see that literally every family in the stories had incestuous relationships, including the Starks. Just because it’s not common in America anymore doesn’t mean you should get all worked up about something that is established in the show already.

@@Sab_MJsMama Nah, the reason people let the incest slide is because of the crazy character development this show has. We've gotten to know these characters through 7 seasons of tragedies and hardships, and at this point everyone just wants Jon' and Daenerys' stories to end happily for them lmao
sab walkswithpurpose incest was very common in the royal houses . Why so many royals had birth defects throughout history . Actually an aunt and a nephew have less genetically in common than a brother and sister as there is some outside blood in their dna. So it is a lot less gross than brother and sister or twins but still creepy

By that logic, clitorectomies, underage marriages and any number of things are okay too. There's a reason why incest is a taboo. It's called birth defects.
Story wise, there will be repercussions for this union between Jon and Dany so it's not like they're gonna have a happy ending anyway.

All I said that aunt to nephew will lead to a little less defects as the dna isn’t as concentrated but still creepy. Also I said it was done by royals throughout history which it is based off in these books/show. A little reading comprehension might help you out

I don't know.. I really don't like Jon/Dany pairing. It looks like it's just fanservice. I don't believe in their "love" or feelings at all. It seems that their relationship exists only because many fans wanted to see it. I don't want to offend anyone, but because of their relationship, season 7 seems the weakest to me.
Aidan K. I believe it was fated from the beginning. Even Melisandre claims she had brought together ice and fire. It could be taken that that it is what George R. R. Martin was intending from the very beginning in a sense, hence the title of the first novel. Also, judging by their personalities, they seem to compliment each other fairly well in my opinion.
