Muck Boots released a statement August 5, saying “our post inaccurately stated that a donation was made to The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS).” The company goes on to say that family members of an employee who passed away recently suggested that co-workers could donate money to the Humane Association of Northwestern Rhode Island, a local shelter mostly for cats. “They are not affiliated with HSUS as the posts incorrectly stated,” Muck Boots states.
That's because for you, a paire of boots will by your Integrity! This guy made more of an impact by burning them, then you buying them and wear them...

MUCK STATEMENT Family members of an employee who recently passed away requested that, in lieu of flowers, co-workers donate funds to the Humane Association of Northwestern Rhode Island, a local association founded in 1978 to solve community issues primarily related to stray cats. They are not affiliated with HSUS as the posts incorrectly stated. The money is not a corporate donation, but a collection of personal contributions from employees with the intent of remembering a beloved co-worker. While our intentions were good, the use of corporate social channels under these circumstances was inappropriate. Muck Boots has a heritage of respect for the outdoors and for nature. We apologize for the anger and confusion the posts have caused and have removed them from our social channels.
BEEJUS CHRIST you really have a comprehension problem. Watch the video and dig further. I was one of the original guys to expose this. After they made that statement we checked with the local shelter they said they donated to and oh shit NOTHING. After that was exposed they said it was a banking error. After another week it was the check is in the mail excuse. YES THEY FINALLY PAID THE LOCAL SHELTER. You can suck mucks ass and defend them it’s all good but I won’t and so won’t a lot of other Outdoors men and farmers. Have a great day
I wish people would donate their clothing items instead of burning them. Its yours. You paid for it. You can do whatever you want with it. But somewhere there's a guy with zero shoes at all that would love to have a good functional pair of boots. Or a Jersey from a team you no longer support... Just my .02
I agree with you buddy I'm a huge hunter. But you hurt them in vain they could give a RIP if you burn them they already have your money dude. You might as well just donate them or wear em
Sorry about this, but I'm going to rephrase my comment from 2 years ago. I always swear by this video, because I don't like Muck boots one bit, because I could never get comfortable in them. (maybe it's just me in slip on boots) Anyways, I would rather wear my Lacrosse Gamefinder II's any day when it's colder outside, I've had them from when I was 17. I found them while spring cleaning my basement about a week ago. I said to myself "Holy cow that's where they went, I was looking everywhere for these." Then I realized that's why I put them away because they had some scuffs and scratches in the leather, which I took the last 2 days fixing that. So now they look about 80% better. You wouldn't believe how ecstatic I was when I found them, 12 years later they still fit just like they always did.
I don't have any clue why the Muck Boot Company would do that?? My entire family wears them. I wear mine for everything! I bet 50% of Muck Boot owners are outdoorsmen. They screwed themselves over doing that.

The real story is hilarious. The employee that announced the donation was misinformed and the that the hsus was the same thing as the Rhode island humane society (who they actually gave money too) and muck boot company very publicly endorses hunting and trapping and the like. After all it's a significant portion of there business. Just goes to show that everyone is human and makes mistakes.

Regardless of what they do from this point forward I will never buy MUCK products of any kind.
Hi Sam, thanks for the fire. I never knew about the donation until I saw your video. Google searched it lots more info. I have worn Muck boots on my trap line and hunting for years BUT I will never put my 12EEE in another pair again ever. I am passing this info to all fellow trappers and outdoor friends. Thanks for another great video.
Totally agree with ya Sam. I love my lacrosse boots. My daughter had a pair of muck Boots and when I found this out I threw them away on her lol. Took her to boot store and bought her a new pair of lacrosse. Lacrosse boot family

Hi there!! like your lifestyle, your humour and values .. I am in no way related to Muck boots but maybe you should read that and have a second (or third) look at muckboots.. The Muck Boot Store is the oldest, independent online retailer of The Original Muck Boot Company Muck Boots and we were saddened to see that The Original Muck Boot Company announced a donation to the Humane Society of the United States on their facebook page. Thankfully, we have since learned that the donation never happened. The Original Muck Boot Company, like many people, was duped into thinking their local Humane Society was the same as HSUS when they communicated their donation. Several of their employees collected money for the Humane Society of Rhode Island, which is a local animal shelter. They were proud of this and wanted to share the news on Facebook. The controversy started when whoever posted the information did not know the difference between the two organizations and mistakenly said the donation was for HSUS. They have since clarified what happened. Who a company supports says a lot about their values. At The Muck Boot Store, we are major supporters of farmers, hunters, and the military-- that is what got us into this business. Every year we choose a charity that is important to us to give back. The charity we raised money for this year was the Fallen Patriot Fund which supports the families of US military personnel who were killed or seriously injured during Operation Iraqi Freedom. We believe The Original Muck Boot Company also shares our values. They made a stupid mistake and confused two organizations that they shouldn't have. But the fact is they made a donation to a local animal shelter and in no way are supporting an anti-hunting and anti-farming organization. They are bad communicators but they do not have bad values. The Muck Boot Store would like to thank everyone who was rightly upset about this mistake. You have helped bring attention to HSUS's agenda and misleading tactics. Fewer people will be tricked into supporting HSUS because of the attention you brought to this issue. Much respect to you for your decision to protect your way of life. However, call me a hypocrite but I am in favor of Humane Societies and hunting/fishing/trapping. The way I see it, no innocent life should be killed. I found a litter of kittens on the side of my house a couple months ago and was only able to keep one, and the other kittens I tried to give to friends but nobody at this point in time was able to adopt a kitten. I had to give the cats up to the humane society, where they adopted the mother cat out and spayed the three other kittens (the litter initially had four) where they're available for adoption. I had to drive 2 and a half hours away from home to reach the shelter, otherwise I would've had to take the mother cat and her kittens to the local shelter where they would've been killed for sure, even after the fact that I had saved the cats from death where the mother's emaciation would've caught up with her, provided the mother cat and her kittens with food, water, shelter, flea baths, and even medical treatment which consisted of their first series of vaccines. The Humane Society saved innocent life, but so does hunting/fishing/trapping. The reason I support hunters, fishers, and trappers (I should just say "sportsmen") is because they control overpopulation, which DOES happen. The reason Humane Societies exist is because of animal overpopulation regarding domestic animals, when in reality, any and all animals can overpopulate to become too plentiful in too small of an area, when that happens, animals will start dying off in large numbers. In the case of cats and dogs, they either are neutered/spayed then thrown back onto the street as strays, where they die of hunger, disease, an attack by another animal, being hit by a car, etc, or they're killed in a shelter by lethal injection. No-kill shelters can, and do fill up frequently, as I learned. There is only so much space in a carrying capacity, and the idea that overpopulation doesn't exist is simply foolish. Wild animals, like domestic animals, can, and do overpopulate. Plus, sportsmen USE the animal, whether it's eaten, or made into clothing, I advocate legal hunting, NOT poaching. Which is why I support this channel, for never once have you, Sam Woods, advocated poaching. In fact, you discuss true laws and facts when you defend the sportsman's way of life. Anyway, does being pro-Humane Society and pro-Sportsman make me a hypocrite?
***** your local humane society should be supported they are not bad. the Humane Society Of the United States HSUS is a scam and is what i was attacking
Regardless of what a company does with its money should people say screw my family screw my friends screw everyone that donates money to something you don't agree with it's their money or it's my money or it's your money everyone does what they want with their own money...I buy a product I can care less about what they do with their money. If I'm wrong for thinking that then I'm wrong if I'm right then I'm right either way it doesn't matter
I thought HSUS was some kind of law enforcement for the humane society, I seen a pickup with the logo on the doors and a light bar on the roof. I went to their web sight and seen what kind of false propaganda they were putting out there. I can see how Muck might have gotten duped. But that's no excuse to donate to such a scam.

Sam Wood Outdoors Thank you for the clarification, and keep up the great work on your channel. I've learned a lot from your videos!
One step closer to Obama out😅😅😅
Regardless of what a company does with its money should people say screw my family screw my friends screw everyone that donates money to something you don't agree with it's their money or it's my money or it's your money everyone does what they want with their own money...I buy a product I can care less about what they do with their money. If I'm wrong for thinking that then I'm wrong if I'm right then I'm right either way it doesn't matter
Dude someone could have eaten those boots in Africa...
Love it and I agree if they donate money to HSUS I want nothing to do with them. Have thought of buying muck boots and will make sure I never do now!!
GONE A MUCK...ME TOO...
Have you tried xtra tuffs? I heard they started making them in america again because no one was going to buy them out of china.
Muck and Xtratuffs is owned by same company. I'm looking at Dryshod and LaCross as well.
