Check out my other repair videos for the Nexus 6. Thanks for watching!
For the love of gosh. Thank you for not insulting my intelligence. Thank you for not making me watch 20 minutes of taking the darn thing apart. Thank you for getting to the basics of it all. Straight forward, precise and comprehensible. Perfect.
+J Pat Thank you sir I appreciate the feedback. I tried to skip the time-consuming mind numbing parts and show you the basic stuff. As long as I show you which screws to take out you don't need to watch me take them all out. :)
Thanks for keeping this short and precise. Good job!
+Alexander Poppy Thanks I'm glad it helped you.
Followed your guide, worked great. I watched a far more complicated and time consumption video first, but found this one much easier to follow. Good job.
+Kanga-Who Thanks I'm glad it helped you. Good job on the repair!
Well recorded and explained. I'll give it a try since no one here seems to know how to fix this. Thanks.
+Cristian Valbuena Thanks best of luck!
Excellent video, I just replaced my battery! The difficult part was opening the cover because I was afraid of damaging the inside. The other part was handling the tiny screws! Also thank previous comment tip not to disconnect the volumn connection. All in all, it was easy because you gave clear instructions. By the way, I hesitated replacing for a long time since I bought the battery until I found your video.
Hey thank you so much I’m really glad if it was helpful! And also the previous comment that you mentioned. It’s nice to have feedback from others. I’m really glad you did it! Nice job! 👊👍
@@SmartEasyDIYer I forgot to mention, I am a senior citizen!!!
Awesome nicely done!!
outstanding little guide, nice and short with enough info to do the job. well done and thanks :) :)
+Pat Blenkinsopp Yes the glass only route can be very difficult. Thanks I'm glad it was helpful. :)
Short, sweet, and complete. Thank you!
Thanks. I’m glad it helped. 👍👊
Great video. I have seen several saying this is a T4 torx. I am 100% positive mine is a T3. I tried 3 different T4s and none worked... T3 was very, very hard to find, but it worked perfectly. I found a T3 at Home Depot, NO ONE else had them.
+Star Voyager Yeah some say t3 and some t4. I think Motorola used different size screws or something.
Good and comprehensible video!
Thanks I'm glad it helped.
What is the connector at 2:30? I think I broke mine.
I’m not completely sure but I think it’s for the lcd screen.
Thanks very helpful!
Thanks I'm glad it helped! :)
Torx T4 screwdriver definitely did not work w/ mine. Had to use a T3. Motorolla must have used different screws at some point. Or possibly screwdriver manufacturers are labeling their sets wrong. I would make sure you have both handy just in case...
+Boulder Mobile Car Detailing yeah that's too bad I'm glad you figured it out and had both to work with.
does this also fix the Digitizer?
+Antwonn Brit Yes usually the screen and digitizer are all one assembly.
Anything with the phone software I should be doing before I take these steps? It won't take me to some funny bios screen or anything later?
+Joshs Cards No it shouldn't. Just power off
Great I stopped out one of the T5 screws. Am I screwed now? Anyone know what to do in that case?
+Russ TheWeddingDJ Do you mean stripped out?
After I finished the screen displays but the digitizer does not recognize my fingers and the phone does nothing other than turn on. Where did I go wrong?
Sounds like a connection issue. I would double check your connectors make sure they are all together ok.
@@SmartEasyDIYer Yes, that was it. One of the ribbon cables was not seated correctly.
Wow ok I’m glad you found it. Yes I know how it is working on these with big hands. Lol
how much to do mine?
They aren't too bad. You can check the parts in the video description.
T3 not T4....great video too
I wish I had read this before buyint the T4.
Sorry man mine was a T4
@@SmartEasyDIYer No problem, still a great video! Would be good adding it to the description as a note, though.
Ps..glad I didnt go down the glass only route...that looks very tricky :( :(
no I meant for you to repair it for me. what would you charge
Oh I usually don't do others. I try to do the tutorial to encourage them to fix their own.
