Never met Nigel and I don’t agree with everything he says but my A level politics teacher, who is 76, a Liberal Democrat and one of the nicest men I’ve ever met told me about his run in with Nigel. He told my class that during his 30+ years of teaching in all the times he went to parliament he’s the only politician who ever stopped to chat with him and his students. I think that speaks volumes about Nigel’s character regardless of his political opinions which do resonate with many people. Ever since I heard that story I have found a lot of respect for the bloke.
