    Another beautiful drive in the Alps!! I am glad you have such an adventurous soul. You are doing what I only wish I could do. Being Canadian, and living on the wrong end of the country, I don't get to see mountains this high or majestic. lol All of our mountains are on the western end of Canada, and I live on the East Coast. I have done the Cape Breton Highlands (they pale in comparison with these mountains), and have only flew over the Canadian Rockies. Thank you for all that you do to bring these wonderful videos to us. The time, money, and videos that you record and edit for all to enjoy. I can't wait for the next video. 😊😊😊😁😁😁💕🤗📸🐸

      Dana Chappell I have driven the Alberta and BC Rockies a lot, but I'm looking forward to finally seeing the Alps myself this summer. I wonder how different they are from the Rockies!

    I have heard cyclists say that this road coming off the Galiber is very dangerous because of the heavy traffic and some very sketchy tunnels

    Which part of the Alps do u like best? France, Switzerland, Austria?

      @EuropeanRoads  5 років тому

      I would say Switzerland, they have the greatest collection of 4000 m+ mountains with year-round snow and glaciers. But France has better weather. The Dolomites in Italy are very unique too. The Alps are quite diverse in terms of scenery, geology and climate.

    What are all those tunnel entrances for?

      Apparently they are occassionally used during the winter when the avalanche risk is high.

    Bonsoir,
    £a super-spécialité de ce col, c'est le ßrouillard - de - ƒin - de - journée.
    Nous avons même ƒailli perdre la vie, en voiture, avec un de mes camarades Chasseurs Alpins, un dimanche d'octobre 1969 ((le moment du retour de la Transhumance estivale des moutons dans les alpages)) : Vision NULLE. Au point que JE MARCHAIS DEVANT SON VÉHICULE, avec un bâton de ski pour sonder le sol…… éviter qu'il ne dévisse en un rien de temps jusqu'au ƒond d'un ravin abrupt et caillouteux.
    Mais tous les conducteurs n'ont pas eu la patience de prendre cette précaution simple.
    £e surlendemain, en première page du Dauphiné £ibéré, on pouvait voir les photos de trois camions qui avaient ƒait le grand saut de la mort, 400 mètres plus bas ; et des cadavres de moutons répandus partout - notre caserne a ƒait le plein de bonne viande à consommer d'extrême urgence.

      I know, but it takes a lot of time and money to film all this. I can't cover all of Europe every year. I have recorded videos in 16 or 17 countries so far.
