She finds cake there. She decides she could take some frosting off the top, but surly enough that escalated into having a whole piece. Unable to face Edward after her crime, she ran into the woods outside his home. Edward runs after her, wanting to talk to her. While running, she turns to him and he can smell cake on her breath. After this she stops running. She knows she's been found out. He's furious. He made that cake in order to apologize to her for calling her gross and confess his love. But now his plan was ruined. What could he do? He asked Bella to come to a dance with him, which he would take for an apology. She agreed to this. At the dance, Bella realized that, all this time, Edward was the one she wanted. Not Kevin. She realized this as they were dancing, alone, him holding her to his chest. He was so strong and graceful. How could she not have noticed? She was thinking about kissing him, but got scared that he would reject her. So, in order to prompt him, she asked if he'd ever seen a girl's tongue. "Yeah," he said, "it's wet and smells so bad." Taking this as a rejection, she tried to defend girls. Edward noticed her sudden sour mood and clearly explained what he meant. Bella then wanted him to stop talking- he was making it worse. Later that week, Bella decided it would be okay to tell him how she felt. She was falling for him. Fast. She asked him to go out for some Chinese food in the evening. He said sure, asking where it would be. Later that evening. At first, they just went on talking about their day at school, their friends and family, laughing together, enjoying one another's company. Then, Bella spoke up. "Edward...?" "Yeah?" "I-...I have something to te-" "Wait. Me first." "Oh, uhm. Alright.." She was relieved. For now. "Bella, I think I'm in love with you.
