There's a reason bike trailers connect at the bike's axle and not the seat. The leverage won't pull the cyclist off balance. If you tied the tow rope lower its much easier to keep the bike upright.

Science lesson of the day. If you raise the seat up and have a greater declined angle on your tow rope, you add a downward force onto your tire which gives you more traction.
Look up kinetic ropes, offroaders use them all the time for recovery of stuck vehicles. If you had a good run at it, either that thing will move or you are going over the handlebars
You could pull like made if you ran the tow strap over with the back wheel turning the back wheel into a winch but this would be more of a test for how strong the wheel is I think all the force would squeeze around the wheel
You know how you do that thing with a tube to stop your cranks spinning off jumps? Maybe try something like that to keep your bars straight and you'll be able to reduce the torque steer you're getting :p
Make it a trike or connect 2 mtn. bikes side by side to deal with stability and connect the tow lower as others have suggested. More weight on the bike(s) also for more grip? Have you written/talked to Canyon about updating their towing limits for this bike?
Weigh down the front maybe? Then try and pull a diesel locomotive! It might work over a level crossing, rails are very efficient, very little friction to overcome!
Start a towing company I reckon. Only need to add a set of trainer wheels to not get hit by the broken down vehicle as you make a turn for no particular reason.
Now there’s an idea ! See how far you can ride with a light bungee , or surgical tubing attaché to about 75 meters of nylon cord. And see how far you can stretch about 75 meters of bungee. Now see how far you can fakie being pulled backwards. You need somebody to do it with.

Towing a vehicle with a bike, traction will be the biggest part of the challenge. Sam shows up with knobby tires on a wet day...
If you used a solid bar that cannot move left or right radially, you would get more efficient forward motion. I think the motorhome would be possible.
