TC can be good if SV stop listening to the trolls in official disc. Houses are used as invulnerable walls, you can build shit infront of a keep to block mang placement and movement, tag them another guild or several other guilds, and it becomes unsiegeable practically. There needs to be a set of rules, like base building rules in any dayz server, that gm's follow STRICTLY.
This current system is a nightmare to balance because its just not fleshed out enough. There is really just too many things to talk about to even touch it in the comment section. You should have a podcast talking to the guild leaders to let everyone put out their thoughts. This literally needs a community level discussion because if SV makes more changes that do nothing for the game, its literally donzo. A year ago there was nothing on the horizon to compete for this community. Now thats not the case. They need to get their shit together and focus all of their time and effort on an endgame that constant feeds the community new content through wars.... just like mo1. which i cannot stress enough, mo1 was a way better system.
The complaint is that they are "bored" but at the same time join forces with OS instead of sieging each other. They destroy Companions and now they are bored.
I find SV is under a lot of pressure for development. MO2 could use with both new content and bug fixing. These aren't mutually exclusive and are hard to balance. For instance, "project polish" was mostly bug fixing, and it tanked the population. Necro patch was mostly new content, and it raised pop. SV has a track record for focus work on one or the other between bug fixing/new content. This is in line with the "agile" method (hence why we hear "sprints"), which is a common practice in sysdev or dev work. TC is its own bag of worms. Beyond bugs, part why sieging is tough is that mangs are fixed and you need to deploy them really close to walls. Moving mangs would sort this out. I'd wager moving structures are tied to the system for wagons. If this assumption is correct, it means that to 'fix TC' you'd need to both implement new mechanics (moving mangs) and fix siege-related bugs, in one sprint. This is a bit against the way SV has worked so far and 1 sprint is not likely going to make TC better. This is not going to be nice for vets and frustrated players, so I'm a bit worried pop will drop ever further.
If territory could be owned for real, it would make MO like other games where every area is claimed by large guilds and no one is able to build anywhere. New players wouldn't be able to build any houses soon, as all areas would be claimed, and the areas which would be protected from claiming potentially would get really full. Ofc if there were players, which is not the case but in general the idea of owning areas and preventing building is bad.
I'm so pissed with the latest update making significant but meaningless changes to the siege costs.... I really don't feel you should be able to build under the area influenced by local guilds, so you shouldn't be able to play a house under a stronghold reach unless you're with the guild... etc
They could make some changes to make sieging better but if no one can build near each other then we will have less pvp, have to ride farther for pvp, and have to ride farther for regears also small guilds would have to merge into big guilds to farm the same areas. All your opinions seem like you want the game to be just a few large guilds fighting each other i don't think this will make the game better if they do territory control the way you want. you also said you want the areas that are owned to be more lucrative in another vid you made. Making the disparity between rich and poor guilds even larger. maybe you are to invested in what would benefit your own large guild to speak for what the entire community needs.
no i dont want that the game are only a few large guilds. But without a proper sieging mechanics there will not be one guild left in a year or so when not many sieges will happen. And the one that will happne will ju8st frustrates the attackers and the defenders. We will se. And i dont know if the new problems would be less than the current ones or even bigger. I dont know.
this take about sieging being better in MO2 than MO1 is INSANE. the carebare-ification of sieging is what is killing MO2. the fact that i have to declare war, wait SEVEN DAYS, then attack then i have to wait another TWO DAYS to be able to loot from my siege is insane. i agree TC needs reworked, i agree that TC Tower's need to come back but the take about sieging is better in MO2 than MO1 is insane.

it's not impossible, defenders outplayed you. you cant expect to be able to siege a keep when force close to equal is defending it and you are not following game mechanics (like let defenders rebuild supply lines lol). if you did it to any other keep like unbroken? badco? etc it would fall down as they wouldnt have as many ppl defending it

Another weird thing is with the bolista, you need to build a camp for them like the boulders. But u can place them on stronghold and walls. How are u supposed to build a camp while u are defending lmao
This game is on fire. There is nothing working as intended. It is over run by RmT guilds dupers and exploiters and it is 100% SVs fault. They are worried about putting asset flips and working on WoW treadmills for the game (master, Clade grinding). Instead of fixing content currently in game. They need to stop putting more shit in game and spend at least a year on QoL, bugs, exploits and making the mechanics in game working as intended. People that keep saying the game has potential need to remember people been saying that since 2009.

yeah i mean we builded durring the ES siege a house and a priest inside their own keep! the design of the whole mechanic is flawed in my opinion.

Does it ever get old saying MO2 can be great if SV would fix *Lists items* then months later still never gets fixed.
