Hey Daniel, I couldn't believe there weren't any decent YT reviews of this, which is why I reached out to Stubble and Co to see if I could make one! I've tried the Farpoint, and it's a solid bag..... But I think the Adventure Bag has a lot more upside and is more suited to "one bag travel".
Thanks for the in depth review. Comparing the adventure bag with the kit bag, which do you feel is better suited for airline travel and use for primarily clothes/shoe storage? Seems like the kit bag may be a bit more versatile but I’d like to hear your thoughts.
Oooo good question - I think it will depend on how you pack. The Adventure Bag essentially has the "packing cubes" already in it - The upside is you don't need packing cubes, the downside is that you may want larger or smaller sections in the bag. The KitBag is just one empty space, which really would need packing cubes (or similar) to make sure everything stayed organised. But the advantage is that you can have a really big open space if you want it (or just tailor it to your needs with packing cubes). The Adventure Bag is more comfortable over longer distances, especially with the hip belt. But if the load is manageable without a hip belt, the Kitbag is still very comfortable, and gives you more carry options (like a duffel bag). For me..... I think the Adventure Bag just about pips it for Air Travel, but that's purely because I like the internal storage already (and I don't have to worry about packing cubes). The KitBag is arguably a little more versatile though, so if you wanted something that you could bring to work, the gym, weekend bag or airline travel.... The KitBag may be the better choice!

It came down to this or the Pakt travel backpack, went with the Pakt because I like how it is expandable, has more external accessible storage, and can be paired with a packed packable bag to put under the seat. However, I think the adventure bag has a better material and the harness system looks more comfortable (the Pakt bag’s harness straps are made of the scratchy, hard material that rubs against your neck and doesn’t feel good )
Ah thanks for the feedback! The Pakt does look good, but it’s significantly more expensive here in the UK (and much harder to come by). Surprised to hear it’s scratchy, because it looks really plush! The Adventure Bag is very comfortable, which is a bonus!
Thanks! I’ve just tried the Yeti 36 and it does squeeze into the pocket! You have about an inch and a half of the paintwork on show above the pocket (plus the silver ring and bottle lid). But it fits, and is secure!
Hey Sam, if you go for the large cabin bag option, you should be absolutely fine. If you don’t overpack your adventure bag, you may even get away with the standard size…. But I probably wouldn’t risk it.
Hey, so far so good! I've not had need to use it too much so far (it's probably had 5 overnight trips and another 5 day trips to London etc) - Looks brand new and no further complaints from me. I think the inside zips/mesh would be the weakest point, but as long as it's not ridiculously overstuffed, it should last decades!
@@thecraftedcarry great thanks, the reviews that give 4/5 stars but keep saying that the internal compartment zips are breaking really put me off at this price point. Im considering this or the Yeti 35l crossroads or the samsonite 38l ecodiver but this seems to utilise the dimensions better
@@gazzalawson If you over stuff the inside, I can see it causing issues - The mesh just doesn't hold overstuffed contents as well as something without the mesh. I have the Yeti 27L and you are definitely paying for the brand in part - Don't get me wrong, it's a nice bag, but could easily be half the price (and it's not as comfortable to carry). I've not used the Samsonite so I can't comment on that one. What's your use for it going to be?

Basically i need a back to take to work everyday : full running gear, towel, lunch, water, shake, snack, and my laptop with cables & headphones. I was hoping to kill 2 birds by using it for Ryanair flights for the odd long weekend away
@@gazzalawson Hmmmmm, a lot will come down to how much you like the compartmentalisation of the Adventure bag. I'm currently reviewing their "kitbag" (YT video should be live in the next week or so), and it's probably better suited for what you want to be honest. Downside would be the fact there is hardly any compartmentalisation, which perhaps isn't perfect here. If you don't mind the compartmentalised nature of the adventure bag for an every day work occurrence, I think you'll like it a lot. it also depends how much you need to access your bag throughout the day - With the clamshell opening, it's not something I'd want if I was constantly in and out of my bag. But if it was just once or twice a day, it would be fine! The Yeti definitely has a tougher exterior and probably passes the corporate test a little better. But for the price, I think there are better options (heck, you could buy 2 bags for the price of the Yeti!)
