@@samthegoat05 yooo , according to leaks part 2 opening has a dead butterfly 🦋 , and in anime it is always Mikasa who represent butterfly and you told in your theory that Mikasa is going to die . So now it makes sense
What was in the comments that make you feel unsure? I'm curious since you explained yourself pretty well, and I don't want to scour your whole section here, which is huge for a small channel, which is a sign you know your stuff and are on the path to success. Objectively speaking, there is quite a bit suggesting an AOE, including much straight from Isayama and Mappa. Apparantly, there was an event recently where a Mappa staff member teased something special for the ending, and Yuki Kagi had to immediately change the subject.
@@pirate8085 I mean yeah for the past few months I have been seeing comparison between got and Aot but the comparison isn't about which is better, the comparison is which one have more bad ending. Even though I think the ending wasn't that bad but the ending did leave a sour taste in my mouth. That's the only reason I won't go that far to say Aot is best
@@Shivam-zg7lb yeah ending was just unexplained but i cannot say it as a bad ending i love aot and i really enjoyed the journey and author sad from the very start that aot is not gonna have a good and sweet ending so i was ready for it .
4th timeline: Annie: Reiner, Let's go back home Reiner: OK 5th timeline: Grisha: No, Fay! We should not leave the city! 6th timeline: Ymir: Whoops! I think I forgot to close the pig barn. I better make sure
Dude honestly this is sooo crazy!. This makes a lot of sense. Need it to happen this will shut all the mouths bitching about the ending including myself. If this happens im down to my knees. Biggest plot twist ever
I went into this series with a cautious outlook, as I have also viewed invaderzz's video about AOT being a deterministic universe. The one detail that allows me to consider this theory is why would Iseyama bother adding the extra pages to the manga? Ones that show that Armin failed and the cycle of hatred would continue regardless? Also the detail of the tree becoming as big as it does also leads to some suspicion. If Iseyama pulls this off, it would probably be the most rewarding payoff's from an anime we have EVER seen. Great attention to detail in this theory!
Problem is that Armin did not fail. The war spreads again AFTER his death but we see how as long as Eren's friends are alive no one attacks paradis or either starts a war. The cycle of hatred cannot be fully interrupted and that is a theme that came back countless times in the story. However Eren's goal was to make all of hos friends live long and peaceful lives and he accomplished it. What happened after them was out of both his and their reach
ARMIN DID NOT FAIL LMFAO y'all need to reread 139. They have peace for 100 years, the reason he doesn't fail is because eren was stopped at 80% with most military bases and scientific research centres of World destroyed the 20% couldn't do anything. They had two options after rumbling, either to carry forward Armin's Willy Tybur legacy or become a fascist country ready for war. Here comes Erwin s dailouge that "conflict between humanity will only end when one side finishes others" Paradis after Armin's death choose to become fascist country and brought destruction themselves. Also the dog and biy being alive with weapons means Paradis wasn't fully destroyed, the war ended conflict finally was finish. But after a fair war between two countries with equal power.
Whether it happens or not, it's still so fascinating to think that anime and manga could be actually THAT connected, like no one has ever done this ever
No offense at all, by the way. Sorry if this sounds rude, but it has to be said. 9:00 well the main point behind the AOT ending is the realistic, and logical twist. When people like you talk about the "Cycle Of Hate" , you guys are talking about the Cycle of Hate caused by the Titan Curse. What a small majority of the fanbase failed to realize was that the point of the ending was about how hate cannot be stopped because humans will ALWAYS find NEW ways to bring forth ANOTHER reason to hate, and have war. It's within human nature. Although Eren erased the titan curse and erased the hatred behind the titan powers by removing the power, a NEW reason for hatred was then formed about 100+ years later, showing the war in the additional pages added. As highlighted before in AOT, the only way to truly end war is to actually erase humanity. If Eren would have fulfilled the rumbling and Paradise was the last one standing, war would still happen over the years just like how a war still happened 100+ years later in the official ending. This is because simply, humans will always find new ways to hate each other. That's basically the meaning behind the AOT ending which is completely realistic. America for an example. People live in America but is America entirely united? No. It's impossible. You got political parties, gangs, ETC that go to war. Some people dislike America soo bad that they move to other countries. So if Paradise was the last one standing, war would only be prevented for a few hundred years just just like the official ending. The only difference is that a complete rumbling would inevitably add a longer length of PEACE compared to the 80% rumbling. The 80% rumbling only allowed about, as shown, at least LESS than 200 years of peace from war. A COMPLETE rumbling would allow possibly a bit over a THOUSAND years of peace from war because humans would be repopulating, civil wars will rise, and people will start splitting from the nation and creating their own civilization across the seas, creating another nation AKA, a RIVAL. That's logically and realistically what will happen. That's just how the world works. The only way to actually make an ending where freedom is true is to make an unrealistic ending but that will throw AOT off because since the beginning, AOT has always been highlighting realistic human nature. Japanese people understand the ending far more than the foreign fans. Because of that, The ending will likely stay the same and be adapted just as the manga.
Really good comment! More people should see this. You worded it so nicely and easy to undrstand. When I was reading the ending in the manga I defently got a little confused about the message it was trying to convey but over the passing months I thought alot about the ending and basically came to conclusion as in your comment.
i completely agree with this, i find it absolutely mind twisting to see some people take to much notice to the end of the story or the story in general!
Thank you so much for this. So many people are upset with the ending and I don't understand why and I feel are trying to come up with any reason to change it or make it seem like there was some kind of retcon along the way
The only problem are OWL's words. Cuz he literally said "Save mikasa and Armin, stop it from repeating". Killing Mikasa wont fulfill it...Something should happen, but we dont know what is the ending exactly.
the original ending really happens then people who liked the ending of the manga will hate it and half of humanity who hated the ending of the manga will let off fireworks of happiness, Many of the people who did reviews defending the manga's ending will be the ones who hated isayama for all life, while people who hate manga will do reviews and videos about how isayama is the best writer who created the best protagonist peak pico peak of fiction in other words the fandom will be completely divided this will be insane
I like this comment. The only way it could be true is if the Anime ending is different than the Manga. So we will have to wait and see. Maybe this is my last war means that Isayama will never do a war anime again.
unfortunately, when she said "see you later", she means when she is going to kill him, there is only one time line in the story, and the paths are just another dimension where time is slower and the founder has the ability to manipulate it. and since Mikasa is an Ackerman, he couldn't delete her memories when they met in this dimension, that's the only reason Mikasa was able to change her mind and kill him to give closure to his life. and about the extra pages for the final manga, I think it just his way to show us that, life is life.
ye true , anime gonna end as manga itself. ig people are just hoping for a change in ending so we are just pushing it. life is life and aot was never known to be a anime which has super characters every character and its world feels so human, Life is life and aot tells this in such a good way
02:29 You gave me such a great mind blown!!! Mappa always flipped important scene (like Zeke and Eren in path or like in the trailer the first scene in chapter 1 where Mikasa is left or right in manga and anime), here we go again, but now in the mangaitself! Mikasa confessed on this picture her love on the right side, in the "original" scene, where she said you're family, she was also standing on the other side. Mappa did so many things more than perfectly picture by picture, why they should change scenes by flipping it? Isayama did it her too for showing an other path. Omg, it would be so cool, if we get an AoE (but I also like the manga ending, it would be good, but not as good as all your ideas guys. :)
Whether these theories will be true or not I will always enjoy the insane amounts of speculation that goes on between the diehard fans man, this shits just so goddamn engaging
Hawkeye: Don't... Don't give me hope.... As an avid fan of AOT i was really frustrated by the ending. The story throughout was so good, so complex, so smart, and in the end i felt empty and perplexed as to how Isayama could have finished it in that bizarre fashion. If, and this is a big and hopeful if, this theory turns out to be true in some way, it would be one of the most amazing twists ever, and the entire fandom will explode. It does seem likely in a lot of ways, but i'm fighting myself to not get too excited. I'm starting to feel that tingle that AOT used to give me, of just amazement at how good it was, that amazement that kind of died when the manga ended. Let's wait patiently and see how it turns out (as hard as that may be)
If this ever happens, I'm gonna be very much surprised! It would make AoT one of the most complex stories with its subtle foreshadowing and symbolism. Then again, I'm not going to put all my hopes into the AoE theory, but the hints are there
I personally think the anime is going to faithfully adapt the manga's ending, but only to show it as a dream sequence of past events to satisfy readers who wanted to at least see it animated. That would likely be what part 3 adapts since part 2 is apparently ending on chapter 130. Then, this is where part 4 comes in. Casual viewers will be lead to believe that the story ends in this three part season, but part 4 comes in and this is where we see the awaited anime original ending.
The reason eren didn't kill porco is because he knew porco would sacrifice himself for falco if eren ate porco, falco wouldn't turn into a flying titan. Falco also played major role in the final battle between eren and his friends. Eren knew falco would play a major role in the battle ending in his death thats why eren didn't eat porco
It doesnt matter what eren does. Even if he just sit on a chair doing absolutely nothing one way or another everything will still lead to rumbling simply because everything is predetermined.
I do want to see Anime Eren in complete resolve, setting everyone free in a flash of light. Because that is what the rumbling is; a deterrent. It is meant to be a hopeless fight for them. He erases everyone, clearing a table for future generations. As oppose to how the manga did. True that another war will come but it's another's story.
3 timlines!! Oh that's understandable why manga eren wakes up calmly but anime eren wakes up in a shock Due to different dreams he had in both manga and anime version!!!
The attack titan’s future memories can be confused with time loops especially in the scene were Eren tells his dad to kill the riess family, when evens dad is simply seeing himself and zeke through erens eyes, this pared with eren being able to select which memories his father can and cannot see thanks to zeke. Also every can be explained with the “ paths “ and I truly believe no time loops are involved at all, overall though a good theory I personally hope the anime sticks with the manga.
ye true dude , people hating manga ending but it was how it was supposed to end. there is no other way it could end or it wont make sense. If u notice eren was like this from the start of the series, its just us who didnt see it, we saw it when we were shown things from perspective of Marley. But eren didnt change he was like this from the start the world that he and armin imagined outside the wall was so different from reality of outside world. armin accepted it but eren didnt. Both of them wanted to see the sea but for different reasons , for armin it was curiosity of the outside world but for eren it was his freedom , he thought if he could see the outside world and not get restricted by titans he would be free but thigns changed world was different from his perspective so he just killed everyone who didnt fit in his sense of freedom. but as kenny said everybody is slave of something and eren couldnt understand it. eren was a protagonist who convey the oposite idea of what the series trying to tell u so (spoilers) he was sure to die
@Connor Naive interpreting the future and having access to the previous inheritance memories are ones of the attacking titans abilities, so basically Grisha interpreted or saw glimpses of Eren’s future. And Eren were able to see his future through his dad’s memories about him
Because it is exactly what u write, what he is saying is just a theory without any indication but hopium, and taking anything that’s diverged for what he happened in the manga and make assumptions about a different timeline but AoT is a predetermined timeline, there are no others
@@leonardomatos6381 lmao I thought I was tripping. It's like I say, this is people's hopeium. They say that Mappa might change the ending, when MAPPA is known for being extremely faithful to manga, down to the last panel.
then why would he not give her a more happy memory, where they die old and happy? And why is the 'See you later, Eren' panel included in the first chapter on the first panel?
@@pipodedown1986 Well the see u later Eren panel is shown because that is the very last thing that Eren thinks abt before his death. He gives mikasa the memory as she is on falco's titan abt to enter the mouth, as soon as the memory ends, mikasa is inside, cutting Erens head off. I believe that the timeline in AOT is a fixed timeline. One where no matter what Eren tries to do, he cant change anything. This is why he was a slave to the future memories and he is finally free in his death. We see this when Sasha dies, eren is in shock because this is the moment he realizes, nothing is going to change
@@josefernandez5329 im talking about the first panel of the entire series, before eren wakes up under the tree, you get the panel of mikasa saying; see you later eren
I always look at the ‘see you later timeline’ as Ymir/Eren showing Mikasa that they could never have had a future together because it would require Eren to give up who he is, a fighter for freedom for the sake of his friends on Paradis
Except that Eren isn’t a fighter for Freedom for his friends or anyone. He is OBSESSED with the idea of his own corrupted version of freedom. Like Kenny said: “we were all drunk on something to get through” Eren was drunk on his twisted idea of freedom.
@@Bori.1776 sounds like cap considering he did save Mikasa from those human traffickers, the fact that he did not force Historia to eat Zeke is another W for freedom. @@_Circus_Clapped_ I think you’re still missing the point that for him to achieve his version of freedom he’s willing to sacrifice billions. If that makes any sense to you then you’re exactly the type to have supported Hitler or Stalin when they were in power.
As we know isayama planned a dark ending for Aot in the past.. He was insipired by a movie called the mist if u may know.. and that movie had a dark ending so.. he like a dark ending to a thriller movie.. but he changed his mind.. i think that could also hint to this theory being true.. because i dont think a guy who killed the main character in just 5 episodes of the anime would care about how people would feel about a dark ending.. i think if i were in place of isayam i would have only changed the ending if i thought that i could make a more complex or more interesting ending to the show.. and honestly i didn't think the manga ending was better than a dark ending for a show like aot.. in the end isayama shoved a romantic character to the ending.. i don't think it's his style or choice.. when i was reading the manga i also thought that there were going to be 3 endings.. for each of our main characters... like 1 for armin.. 1 for mikasa and 1 for eren... i thought that eren was manipulating minds of all of his friends so they don't disturb him. while he is doing rumbling.. so he is showing them their wishes in a dream.. like in the movie matrix 3.. the main character wins but then we get to know that all of it was just a matrix.. to make him believe he won.. similarly.. eren could be playing mindgames with everyone.. or maybe he isn't... maybe anime is also going to end the same way the manga did..
honestly i would love to see a better ending.. this theory is also works.. if it is presented in a better way with all questions answered.. but honestly i made my peace with the manga ending so.. at least i won't cry again because a bad ending nearly destroyed my favourite show ever..
"because whats the point of adding this additional pages to the final chapter, if u r not going to make use of them in a way i assume he intended to" ... but.. you know how it sounds, right?
I just hope the anime has good ending with the manga being the bad end. Alot of animes have diverged from the mangas endings like darling in the franx so I'm hoping aot does the same. Even isayama stated he regretted the way he ended the manga so if he goes with manga ending it would be such a missed opportunity to fix the problems with the manga ending.
The 3-4 first season of AOT show people from two opposite groups, learning to forgive the other side for their past actions, getting over propaganda and "evil history" and being so sick of war and murder that they learn to work together, just like the just like the "kill eren commando" And that's why i don't beleive that a 100% rumbling would be considered as a "good " ending for the writter, the whole point of his manga until now is to show the repetition of violence, and the use of history/propaganda to dehumanise the other party The final bombardment, just show that even when people are sick of war, and learn that the hard way, the futur generation will maybe forget it... and start coming back to their "they are the one who started mythology ", the bombardement is just a reminder to teach your child forgiveness, and teach not to point other as guilty systematicaly Now another theory, one that i've never seen or read anywhere, and i think it's strange : Many people expect the final tree to be "eren's come back" , but what if that tree is the one where Ymir fall ? I mean instead of a death loop, what if the whole story was in closed circular time ? Ymir grew in a very archaic time, but what if people bombarding themselves lead them to a technological recession ? I mean, everywhere aroud the "eren tree" there is not a single sign of civilisation;, what if the "2000 years" are between eren death, and ymir falling into him ? that would add way more to their relations and the fact they are connected from the begening And that would also sort of the problem of the attacker titan seing the "future" memory, which is wierd even in "magical" world If time is circular, then memory doesn't travel trought time anymore, they are just regulary past from one to another, but the attacker goes back further and see the memory from the last loop
Also you forgot to mention how the Main sound direction at the Attack on Titan event Said “Why don’t we talk about if the Anime ending will end the same as the Manga ending”
First off, magine this theory is true. Cuz it is pretty cool. Second, magine the anime ends with another time loop in another way. Third, magine the final timeline is AOT live action 0.0
Isayama couldn't plan the final three chapters a month before their release dates but you think he planned three separate timelines 10 years in advance lmao
If Mikasa knows she will see Eren again, that would imply she retains memories from previous timelines. Why couldn't she remember the secrets of the titans?
@@DrakSM lol I always thought she meant "ah, it's happening again" in the sense that she doesn't want to go through loosing someone again. like "shit it's happening again, I am again loosing a loved one, I am again loosing someone dear to me, a part of my family " because of the trauma she had from loosing her parents... no time loop shit whatsoever
Thanks to you man, you released a lot of my depression away... At least now I'm a little relieved that the show will have a great twist and, we all hope it doesn't end up tragically...❤️😭
Eren completing the rumbling is the only way to save Eldians. This is gonna be gut-wrenching to see (assuming you're right) Nice theory, this deserves more views from the AOT community 👍
@@zekie106 his friends. they can do whatever the change they want, but it was says since the beginning that waht he's doing is to save his friends. eren first volonary transformation was when the canon was going to hit him, mikasa and armin, then eren saw the memories of grisha telling him " u need to do this if u want to save mikasa, armin and other." this sentece is the most important scene in WHOLE aot along with the train scene (when they talk about who's going to take eren's titan). Kruger line + train scene is what eren cares the most. an ending where eren kills his friend tosave eldia, is not coherent with his character and neither with the story. in canon, is 100% coherent, but poorly written, that's the only change they should make, adding new scenes, new dialogues and explain things better. even eren stated in 131 that there is something more than eldia "i'm doing all this for eldia's sake... NO, it's not just that"
@@zekie106 among the 80% of the people he killed, many were eldians. The collossal titans were on paradise. So when they got release, it is the eldians who died first. Eren knew about this. His goal was only to save and protect the future of his friends, not the world, not eldians.
@@maariyahramdin3552 yet hange and sasha died , both where his friends ... and yet in 139 eren himself said that he didnt knew if any of his friends would survive the rumbling ... so how did he do it for his friends ?
another thing is how aot has so much symbolism with numbers related to 3 like 3 main characters eren mikasa armin and the 3 walls and the 3 military branches and the 9 titans and the 13 year curse of yimr and the ending chapter being 139 it would make sense to have 3 timelines
Again, deterministic timeline, does not coexist with multiverse, Eren cannot see that a partial Rumbling failed because if he does a full Rumbling that means the memories of a partial Rumbling do not exist, etc. The dream of Eren living his last four years out in peace with Mikasa is just that: a dream that they shared through the Paths, which gave Mikasa peace with the decision to kill Eren. Her seeing him later is her seeing him before she kills him. Adding the additional pages is just showing that hatred doesn’t end just because one guy killed 80% of the world, war and hate are a cycle with or without titans. It’s also insinuated that the Titan Curse will befall someone again by falling into the tree. That does create a cycle of sorts, but it’s a cycle of violence that exists outside of Eren. Maybe Eren is now the new Ymir, or maybe neither of them exist anymore in the Paths. Are there still Paths? I don’t recall whether it was the spine worm itself, or Ymir, who made the Paths. Regardless, the tree exists again, so there is probably a spine worm as well. It’s just a commentary on the cycle of violence. Plus, maybe Isayama wanted to set up a possible sequel if he ever feels like it. I mean the Part 4 now would reference the second half of the ‘movie’, so that’s solved. The rest just shows the anime is fleshing out the ideas in the manga more thoroughly, so I don’t have much to say about that. Again, there could be an AOE. It just wouldn’t fit with the lore, themes, and concepts set up so far.
I'm of the opposite opinion actually. having multiple redo's and "reliving" the same events, being able to change what occurs, would kinda destroy a bunch of major themes. like the No Regrets type stuff, if Eren can undo a choice that didn't result in what he wanted to occur, that defeats the whole point of having a difficult choice, and "choose the decision you'll regret least" also: If the time loop occurs, and Eren knows what's gonna happen each time, this takes agency from other characters, leaving them no choices, Eren said he wouldn't take anything from the alliance, in both the manga, and s4 pt3, and I think this is just a lie if Eren already gets multiple redos and whatnot. and lastly, the memory transfer/time warp with eren and zeke was interesting, but if you go even more supernatural, with time loops and what not, I personally think it makes it less relatable to our Earth, with less realism, I think the story becomes to out there, and that's just not my thing I guess. Either way, I don't think AoE will occur, all of this seems just like reaching out there nonsense to me.
So basically, eren just relives his entire life, over and over again. And he can't change it because it'll cause the potential destruction of the rest of the eldians
Well , literally Eren's only goal was to kill all the titans and he just forgot to do that in the manga ending . I hope he at least does that in anime ending .
@F8nted Oh I am enjoying! I have read the manga and loved the ending. It was realistic. What I am saying is that even if it is going to have a different ending because of the timeline theory, it wont be a good ending. There cannot be a good ending. Its just not possible. And it wont be very AOT like to have a "Hero saves everyone" kind of ending.
The manga ending was so freaking bad honestly if there's a new ending i'll legit be glad that in the end this masterpice didn't get ruined by an absolute cringe shitshow but i ain't for sure getting my hopes up we'll see
Posted something on reddit a few days ago like this, was quickly pointed out that while Manga Eren controls birds, Anime Eren does not. at first i thought this was a giant hole in my theory, but now it makes sense. if Manga Eren had to control the birds to make sure the story goes the right way AFTER HE ALREADY LOST, then if Anime Eren never loses, he never has to control the birds to influence the story a different way...
In my opinion, there is one more time loop. The first in which Mikasa and Armin die at a certain point in the story. Eren still reaches Ymir, but all she can ask for is reuniting Mikasa / saving Armin. Ymir accepts his request because they are the same slaves of love. This starts a time loop Thanks to this, in Grisha's memories we can hear "If you want to save them all, Mikasa, Armin, and the others ...". After that, Eren decides to spend the rest of his days with Mikasa. I think it only left regret and unfulfillment. Later, the third loop (Manga) began, where Eren decided to sacrifice himself for the happiness of all his dear people. He failed again, the happiness was illusory. And now we have Anime loop. Still mysteryfor me. I don't know about the last one, but I'm afraid it will be something like the unification of all 9 titans (they can do it during the conversation - like Eren with Reiner)
Bro this is making a lot of sense and if the story takes the turn of these events my mind will be shattered and I will respectfully give this easily Top 10 most thought out animes so far.
in the “see you later” timeline. What did eren kruger tell grisha in leu of saving armin and mikasa. Because didn’t eren use the paths to influence eren kruger and grisha. So how did eren get into the paths if he never started the rumbling in that timeline?
@@willhernandez8494 this might be the case of "Everything is connected to 1 path.. so maybe all 3 timelines are also connected.. so they influence each other and eren can jump back and forth in any timeline he wishes for..
@@willhernandez8494 Actually he never entered the paths in that timeline so he never made Grisha to kill historia's family so the question is.... How did Eren got the founder if Grisha wasnt willing to kill the reiss family? That means there is a plot hole in these timelines.
Ok at first I was very sceptical that this could happen, but I just now rewatched the beggining of ep1 and realised that they didn't put Mikasa's:"see you later", meaning that this could actually be the case since they didnt show the previous timeloop that was present in the manga. Honestly, this would be so amazing if its true.
The reason for the additional pages was to put a mirror up to humanity. Eren didn’t create a new world he just ended the titans. War is inevitable when it comes to human kind, it’s one of our defects.
there are no different timelines in AOT. There is 1 timeline. The past is what decides the future, and seeing the past wont change what that past made happen. If you wanna know what im on about go watch the video by invaderzz called "This video will change how you see Eren", he does a better way of explaining how time travel works in AOT. If you dont understand the fundamentals of how the time shit works then thats how these crazy theories exist. I've never believed in multiple timelines, just never knew how to put it into words, and that video pretty much sums it up and how it works. of course i suppose you could interpret the time travel differently, but i think this is how tis intended to work and its how i interpret it
Ive seen that video and its great but I think it could go either way still. Being fiction it could potentially switch from being a deterministic universe to indeterministic to fatalistic based on ass pull god magic or whatever any author could think of.
I completely agree I think because everyone is used to seeing alternative and multiversal timelines in mainstream fiction its hard for them to wrap there head around this and therefore bash the ending
If it is a deterministic universe, why would eren send back memories? If the future and past remain the same regardless why would isayama bother with giving the attack titan that ability?
saying that when he woke up chapter 1, the only possible theory is that it's a different timeline is so wrong. when eren saw his father memories, after waking up, he said it felt like a long dream, just as in the first chapter, becauser he saw his own future memories
Idk why no one else is saying this, he states it as fact in the beginning of the video when its literally not, the whole theory is predicated on a false idea
I was sceptical when I started watching this video since I liked the manga ending but now I see that this theory makes much sense. That's why Mikasa says "See you later, Eren" in the dream in the manga and in the anime she doesn't
We don't know much about the Attack titan. But we do know the Attack titan has been fighting for freedom even going against the will of king fritz and Ymir fritz. I think that scene symbolises the Attack titans fight for freedom thingy. Also it may have been a spark? for "fight for freedom" n stuff

I find a lot of what u said interesting and wouldn’t mind seeing some of it. Great video but personally I liked the original ending and felt it was saying that eren saved them for a lifetime but the world eventually went back to its normal bullshit. Which I found realistic and bittersweet which is what the author was going for cause he chose a bittersweet end to erens arc. U said that the end can’t be the end because the cycle of hate isn’t over but that doesn’t mean it’s going to be erens story. Erens character arc was never to end a cycle of hate, it was always to obtain freedom. So I could see another story years down the line but it wouldn’t be erens story since cycles of hate have nothing to do with how he views the world. In fact he dies because he is willing to do anything for freedom even become the monster of the story. In most stories u can usually work it out to 4 possible endings for the main character, there’s the good ending (everything goes great, more specifically a character gets both what they want and need), the bad ending (usually reserved for when the character becomes the villain or fails in a huge way, think a anakin skywalker, he ends his story with neither what he wanted or needed) or u get the mixed ending which is when a character only gets what they want or need. Want or need endings are two different types of endings and can hit different, eren didn’t get a Vader ending because he did get what he wanted which was to keep as many of his friends and home safe for years to come and free them from the curse. But he very specifically doesn’t get what he needs which is to spend time with his friends, be with mikasa and live a long life. U know these are his needs because screenwriting books will mention something about how needs are things the protagonist is not aware of in the beginning but drive their behavior and they end up realizing it in the end, as eren did when speaking to armin. I took like one screenwriting class and I’m a bit of film geek so for me, to the best of my knowledge, the story is actually over. But i obviously don’t know everything so maybe it will change. But as I said if they wanna pull some new ending I just want it to be great. Though I doubt that ending the cycle of hate will have much to do with it just because erens arc, needs, and wants are so clearly defined.
Based on the manga's ending, AoT is the first anime in the entire history of all animes that has a perfect ending in the first episode and a shitty one in the last episode!!
Look, here’s the thing: when you really analyze Eren’s character and who he is, you realize the story really couldn’t have ended any other way. In a way the author wrote himself against a wall but I don’t think it was a bad thing. It was the only logical conclusion
@@Trathien- His future self that sent all those memories never completed the rumbling either, the AOT world is a deterministic one. Eren’s character was always meant to be a pathetic childish one that no matter what would’ve been the same (as seen in AOT high school) that wasn’t there just for fun.
Aoe will happen, some of the greatest proofs are the “see you later”, “I will destroy the entire world” in Annie’s fight, and that he got inspired in Muv Luv: ALTERNATIVE! Which is something about timelines and so
It reminds me of Breaking Bad's ending The 2nd last episode can be viewed as BB ending with Jesse forever enslaved to making the drugs The final episode can be viewed as BB ending with Jesse having a happy ending by obtaining his freedom Both episodes gave a possible conclusion and I think AoT did the same with the different Paths that Eren saw
I just think that there's a lot of speculation that is being made on these endings that won't come to fruition. Exact same thing happened with Game of Thrones. The writers aren't smart enough to include something like this.
Dude I would love this ending. Oh my gosh it would go from a goated yet contained series, maybe in my top 10 to literally one of the best pieces of fiction in my opinion. Tying in the anime and manga broooo isayama please

Great attention to detail in this theory!
also, there are WAY TOO MANY subtle changes that are pointed out between the manga and anime... there's no way that these aren't important... right?!

Yes , I was thinking the same thing that this will be the most unique thing because no one has ever done it .

ALSO IN THE SEASON 4 ENDING IT SAYS "This is my last war" MEANING THAT THE ANIME TIMELINE IS THE VERY LAST ONE
I like this comment. The only way it could be true is if the Anime ending is different than the Manga. So we will have to wait and see. Maybe this is my last war means that Isayama will never do a war anime again.
Yea since erens chapter was the last one
"My comedy show at its peak"
unfortunately, when she said "see you later", she means when she is going to kill him, there is only one time line in the story, and the paths are just another dimension where time is slower and the founder has the ability to manipulate it. and since Mikasa is an Ackerman, he couldn't delete her memories when they met in this dimension, that's the only reason Mikasa was able to change her mind and kill him to give closure to his life. and about the extra pages for the final manga, I think it just his way to show us that, life is life.
ye true , anime gonna end as manga itself.

Mikasa confessed on this picture her love on the right side, in the "original" scene, where she said you're family, she was also standing on the other side.
Then again, I'm not going to put all my hopes into the AoE theory, but the hints are there
Better than that trash ending
Oh shit
Nah man, he was so close to eating porco, but that stupid gabi woke up reiner
No…? Eren fully intended to eat Porco and inherit the Jaw but got distracted and stopped by Reiner.

Both of them wanted to see the sea but for different reasons , for armin it was curiosity of the outside world but for eren it was his freedom , he thought if he could see the outside world and not get restricted by titans he would be free but thigns changed world was different from his perspective so he just killed everyone who didnt fit in his sense of freedom. but as kenny said everybody is slave of something and eren couldnt understand it. eren was a protagonist who convey the oposite idea of what the series trying to tell u so (spoilers)
he was sure to die
@Connor Naive interpreting the future and having access to the previous inheritance memories are ones of the attacking titans abilities, so basically Grisha interpreted or saw glimpses of Eren’s future. And Eren were able to see his future through his dad’s memories about him
And even since isayama originally planned to have everyone die, this could be the final loop that will completely end it all.
I thought that scene of Eren and Mikasa living together was Eren giving Mikasa that memory. I might be wrong but that's how I interpreted it.

Ngl, the fact of AOT being a time loop is insane
"because whats the point of adding this additional pages to the final chapter, if u r not going to make use of them in a way i assume he intended to"
... but.. you know how it sounds, right?
I just hope the anime has good ending with the manga being the bad end. Alot of animes have diverged from the mangas endings like darling in the franx so I'm hoping aot does the same. Even isayama stated he regretted the way he ended the manga so if he goes with manga ending it would be such a missed opportunity to fix the problems with the manga ending.
The 3-4 first season of AOT show people from two opposite groups, learning to forgive the other side for their past actions, getting over propaganda and "evil history" and being so sick of war and murder that they learn to work together, just like the just like the "kill eren commando"
And that's why i don't beleive that a 100% rumbling would be considered as a "good " ending for the writter,
the whole point of his manga until now is to show the repetition of violence, and the use of history/propaganda to dehumanise the other party
The final bombardment, just show that even when people are sick of war, and learn that the hard way, the futur generation will maybe forget it...
and start coming back to their "they are the one who started mythology ", the bombardement is just a reminder to teach your child forgiveness, and teach not to point other as guilty systematicaly
Now another theory,
one that i've never seen or read anywhere, and i think it's strange :
Many people expect the final tree to be "eren's come back" , but what if that tree is the one where Ymir fall ?
I mean instead of a death loop, what if the whole story was in closed circular time ?
Ymir grew in a very archaic time, but what if people bombarding themselves lead them to a technological recession ?
I mean, everywhere aroud the "eren tree" there is not a single sign of civilisation;, what if the "2000 years" are between eren death, and ymir falling into him ?
that would add way more to their relations and the fact they are connected from the begening
And that would also sort of the problem of the attacker titan seing the "future" memory, which is wierd even in "magical" world
If time is circular, then memory doesn't travel trought time anymore, they are just regulary past from one to another, but the attacker goes back further and see the memory from the last loop
I wonder if Isayama has written the AOE in manga form for MAPPA to work off of when they do part 2, if this actually happens.
Damn imagine if he really did that cool af
I hope there is gonna be an anime original ending, but most importantly this theory to be true.

Do you think that the king of plot twist author Hajime Isayama could show THE REAL ending in the internet age for 2 years before release anime ending?
*4th Timeline: Live Action!*
*5th Timeline: Proceed to Get Recarnated in real-life!*
this is your final chance to fix everything isayama
Lol, the arrogance
I'm of the opposite opinion actually.
having multiple redo's and "reliving" the same events, being able to change what occurs, would kinda destroy a bunch of major themes. like the No Regrets type stuff, if Eren can undo a choice that didn't result in what he wanted to occur, that defeats the whole point of having a difficult choice, and "choose the decision you'll regret least"
also: If the time loop occurs, and Eren knows what's gonna happen each time, this takes agency from other characters, leaving them no choices, Eren said he wouldn't take anything from the alliance, in both the manga, and s4 pt3, and I think this is just a lie if Eren already gets multiple redos and whatnot.
and lastly, the memory transfer/time warp with eren and zeke was interesting, but if you go even more supernatural, with time loops and what not, I personally think it makes it less relatable to our Earth, with less realism, I think the story becomes to out there, and that's just not my thing I guess.
Either way, I don't think AoE will occur, all of this seems just like reaching out there nonsense to me.
So basically, eren just relives his entire life, over and over again. And he can't change it because it'll cause the potential destruction of the rest of the eldians
The Spiderman NWH Tobey and Andrew Theory happened maybe we could hope on this one.

Erwin already said it, humanity will never stop fighting itself until it goes extint.

Well , literally Eren's only goal was to kill all the titans and he just forgot to do that in the manga ending . I hope he at least does that in anime ending .
Lol, you clearly didn't understand his character
The titans literally got erased???

It will still have a bad ending.
@@thewisewolf5566 Just try enjoy the show, the current episodes are still fantastic.
The manga ending was so freaking bad honestly if there's a new ending i'll legit be glad that in the end this masterpice didn't get ruined by an absolute cringe shitshow but i ain't for sure getting my hopes up we'll see
Especially this part with Mikasa and Jean was soo bad😭
This starts a time loop
Thanks to this, in Grisha's memories we can hear "If you want to save them all, Mikasa, Armin, and the others ...".
Obviously then it's Eren from the Future timeline
We don’t actually know what consists in that timeline technically
@@anubhav9766 but how if in the see you later timeline, he never entered the paths, thus meaning he could’ve never influence past and future memories
Your doing great work brother... Keep making such beautiful content 🖤
Part 4 might be like the additional pages, how it shows what happened after everything
Wir just didn't animate this, they forgot, just as they forgot animating mikasa's tattoo
@@ferb1915 that scene is seriously important, i doubt they would just forget about it
If this is true then Isayama is a GENIUS!
I've never believed in multiple timelines, just never knew how to put it into words, and that video pretty much sums it up and how it works. of course i suppose you could interpret the time travel differently, but i think this is how tis intended to work and its how i interpret it
Saw a video that made a lot of sense describing AOT as a deterministic universe
I saw that video and I agree.
The fact that the tree in the music video looks exactly like Eren's tree 😳
saying that when he woke up chapter 1, the only possible theory is that it's a different timeline is so wrong. when eren saw his father memories, after waking up, he said it felt like a long dream, just as in the first chapter, becauser he saw his own future memories
Iwos yes i actually could relate to this logic by reading time 34 again this shit is crazy
@@lohsounds yeah ikr
This actually makes so much sense it's crazy
If this happens aot will probably be the best story of all time
Yall anime theorists on some potent stuff who’s your supplier
A theory of my own. The chapter where the guy throws a spear at king fritz. That guy may have been the first attack titan.
But you need to be a descendant of Ymir to become a titan
We don't know much about the Attack titan. But we do know the Attack titan has been fighting for freedom even going against the will of king fritz and Ymir fritz. I think that scene symbolises the Attack titans fight for freedom thingy. Also it may have been a spark? for "fight for freedom" n stuff
@@beelzebub1385 nah Ymir always wanted that freedom, deep inside, but her need to be loved outweighed that want to be free until Eren, the manifestation of Ymir's desire to be free, came in contact with her.
@@beelzebub1385 "We don't know much about the Attack titan" but we know its a titan shifter , which appeared after ymir died ... its not that complicated ....
Eren dies thhen wakes up to see Nerd Armin and Mikasa Goth Girl in the next reality
It was the only logical conclusion
it could have ended in multiple different ways, for example erens plan succeeding and the world being 100% dstroyed
@@Trathien- His future self that sent all those memories never completed the rumbling either, the AOT world is a deterministic one. Eren’s character was always meant to be a pathetic childish one that no matter what would’ve been the same (as seen in AOT high school) that wasn’t there just for fun.
@@Bori.1776 yeah... except he shouldve completed the rumbling, changing the ending last minute has many issues, many of which are shown here

It reminds me of Breaking Bad's ending
The 2nd last episode can be viewed as BB ending with Jesse forever enslaved to making the drugs

I guess maybe there's a reason it's not called The Path. It's The Paths. Plural.
I just think that there's a lot of speculation that is being made on these endings that won't come to fruition. Exact same thing happened with Game of Thrones. The writers aren't smart enough to include something like this.

More anime than last time!
It likely won't happen but god I hope the writer just sees the theory on a blogpost and decides to incorporate some form of time loop element.
It kinda already exists tho. Remember when Erens head was shot off and you see goth mikasa?
