First of all, cheers on the video. I understood the mechanics of canceling the pilgrimage, but I didn't understand why the character has to have those traces - to be cynical, with educational learning, with all Islamic virtues and Bedouin culture. Even so, I did exactly as in your run, however I start with about 180 ducats, 1 duchy and 4 counties. How do you start with so many money and with so many holdings? Has this been fixed or was it me who did something wrong? Thanks for the reply in advance.👍
Hi, are you playing a female character on gender inverted settings? If so, you will inherit most of your vassals' lands. The virtues give you starting piety. Bedouin is so that you are involved, and cynical + educational learning makes it cheap to convert faiths.
@@sandwich8622 🤦♂I thought I chosen gender inversion, but I had forgotten. Now it works. Thanks for the rest of the answer, I was clarified with the explanation. 👍🙏🙏🙏
@sandwich8622 Once again: Thank you very much. Now I just need to get the Ahab achievement. Do you have any tips or a video coming soon on the subject?😜
Lingua Franca is easier on earlier patches, before the introduction of tribal courts and where you can use a custom ruler. Lingua Franca on current patch involves resetting for a good non-custom, using antagonistic clan unity to conquer all the kingdoms and retract them all in a tyranny war. There's a lot of overlap with a WC. (which is what I'm currently working on) There's also a peaceful variant, where you hit 100 court grandeur ASAP, enter diplo range of all courts, and swap faiths to gradually convert them. (pagan courts don't need to be faith matched) Hope this helps!
I made character exactly as you shown, but I'm starting with 2900 gold instead 4100. Faith, culture, all traits, even traits order is the same. Was something patched in the meanwhile?
@@sandwich8622 Yes, and sexuality bisexual preference. Seems like total holding number I get at the start is different, only 108. I'm also noticing a few female vassals, perhaps something was indeed chagned recently. It doesn't make much difference tho, the only thing I had to do, was distribute holdings after pilgrimages, and play on speed 5 few years, to get necessary money for the Vizier to gain all modifier.
Each time you enter a regency it triggers a hidden vizier upgrade event to occur in roughly one year. By entering a regency 15 times, it queues 15 vizier upgrade events. Then appointing a vizier, it queues the 16th and final vizier upgrade event you need for the achievement.
That's the whole point of pilgrimage cancelling, each time you appoint a regent it queues a (repeating) vizier modifier event. If you do it 16 times, it'll queue 16 vizier modifiers. This way, you only need to wait 1.5 years instead of 20.
Hold up, the piety is from a struggle benefit (piety from converting involved). Pilgrimage cancelling doesn't give you any piety at all, you do it just to trigger regencies
@@sandwich8622 ah, so the piety is from converting your vassals? Seems like they might need to nerf that then, considering that religion flipping seems to be a piety mill, seems like an easy exploit.
According to the code, the achievement pops when you mulct all four illustrious modifiers in a single interaction. If you mulct them one at a time it won't proc.
rdm shots from this lady send me here - shout out to her she put you name in the video about your post . nice channel
Worked perfectly, really didn't want to do it the "right" way, thanks!
Thank you. Just completed the achievement with that strategy
Thanks bro, you helped me out.

Awesome job my dude!
This worked like a charm. Thanks!
Thank you for saving my life.

Damn the lag 😢
They updated the wiki, and it says you only need to reach the tier 4 (Illustrious), so maybe you can do it with only 2,800 gold instead of 4,000?
I just checked in the game code (common/scripted_effects/00_diarchy_scripted_effects) you need all four illustrious modifiers (in the current patch)
I made character exactly as you shown, but I'm starting with 2900 gold instead 4100. Faith, culture, all traits, even traits order is the same. Was something patched in the meanwhile?

Can you explain? Step by step? Why regency?
Each time you enter a regency it triggers a hidden vizier upgrade event to occur in roughly one year. By entering a regency 15 times, it queues 15 vizier upgrade events. Then appointing a vizier, it queues the 16th and final vizier upgrade event you need for the achievement.
HOW your vizier be able spent all this money before he or you don't die or something like this? They so slow in it..

Pilgrimage cancelling seems like a bug to get that much piety lmao, wonder how long it will take for them to patch that.
