I don't even understand why, later seasons with Mindy they were equal and he was really good looking. He could have aged well but turned his back on Drake and instead of appreciating where they were both at.....he let his ego and money get the better of him.
At times when he used to say Drake always gets the girls, I feel eventually as an actor and person it got to him.
I looked up to Josh the character in the show because he showed values.
But I guess thats where that stops and real life takes over.
Regardless of what Drake has done or been accused of. I see him as the better person on and off screen.
Just like Drakes character on the show he wasn't perfect but when it came to BEING THERE he always would be in the end.
These writers wrote off their irl weaknesses and strengths and its seemed to mess with them both. Like they never found their identity, at least for Josh

There is no reason whatsoever that could ever justify S.A. So the reasoning doesn't even actually matter. It's moot point.
There is nothing someone can do, to deserve s.a.

Jannette did him a favour agreeing to be on his little shows first episode!
The Good Guys Podcast has fewer than 43,000 views over 128 eps, some with actual famousish ppl.
Jannette’s book has sold well over 2,000,000,000 copies!!
He invited her on, pulling at old strings. Him and his buddy upset her, made her uncomfortable, f’ed it up badly. She left, told him “don’t air that” he agreed bc maybe he had self awareness, maybe someone told him not to- regardless, in hindsight for the best bc they would’ve looked a pair of dick’eds. 1st and last ep!
After all that, he thinks Jannette owes them one? No, He’s still trying to cling to that exhaust-fume clout, keep her name out your mouth!

Josh joining the vlog squad told me everything I needed to know about his character.
I think what may have happened in the interview, is Josh probably thought he had the right to question Jeanette's realities and experiences working for Nickleodean simply because he also worked for Nickleodean and didn't have those same experiences. I wouldn't be surprised if he was playing devil's advocate for Dan Schneider using his perception of his time working for him as "he's just a tough boss."

I think there is a lot more to the Josh story. Remember when he lost all that weight during the show? He looked like he was dying. Also, he was, "the fat kid" as a child actor. He should not have discussed Jeanette. Period. I feel like its the bullied kid that finally gets a chance to bully someone else. ALL those tv kids were victims and many have not yet been able to swim up from the bottom and break the surface. Heartbreaking

I remember on Jeanette’s publishing day that Josh posted on his Instagram supporting the book coming out, but he has never outright said that he believes Jeanette, only that she has important things to say. He’s always said he didn’t have the same experience. So when he said that she owes him & that Dan was just a hard boss on his podcast it felt like he used her. Which he clearly did. It went against what he was posting originally, he basically showed his own colors. I don’t blame Jeanette blocking him & something must’ve been said during the interview that put her off. He’s also said he would never let his own children be child actors & that his own career caused addiction. Strange. He should apologize to her definitely & take a good look at himself as to why he’s denying her experiences or thinks people owe him.

I think Jeanette is intelligent and has enough discernment to have realised that their intentions were disingenuous. Even if something particularly wasn't said during the interview it's likely she probably realised they were trying to use her book launching to launch their podcast more successfully.

Jeannette McCurdy’s book is essentially a diary, raw and revealing. I listened to half of it on Audible and saw lots of shades of Sarah Lynn from BoJack Horseman (FANTASTIC show if you haven’t seen it, one of my all time favs) and now am considering picking up the physical book and just reading it. I wasn’t a child actor, but I relate to what you and others in your industry share. Thank you for putting this out there. BTW sorry about Christy. I watched that interview and really enjoyed the conversation you two had, to find out the aftermath was a shock to say the least. Hope you, your husband and children are well. Take care and be safe out there.

To sum it up, she was phony about the plight of survivors of SA, as opposed to when she had Alexa on her podcast, and made jokes about such (with Corey Feldman, a survivor/victimizer) as to appease a guest on her podcast (Feldman). Just spinelessness. Deleted both Alexa and Corey’s episodes entirely, CCR, but not before leaving Feldman’s up for a while longer than Nikolas’ on Audible. Wow. “She owes us” tells me everything I need to know about Josh as a person. Only wanted to garner views from featuring her. Clearly had no intention of wanting to create a welcoming platform for a fellow Nick star who survived a life of horror. It’s unfathomable how he’s holding ill feelings towards her for changing her mind…like considering the subject matter how do you not want to stop and do nothing except reflect on WHY she didn’t feel comfortable with the episode and what it potentially was on YOUR end that caused her to feel that way. The fact that he’s even casually talking about it like this without any regard to how it comes across is pretty disturbing.
Also, on another note, that tattoo was worse than anything I could have imagined. wtf

I don’t think the other Nick stars, can mentally digest the abuse, and I think that’s part of their trauma. When I was told by my therapist that the situation I described was abuse, I was really defensive. I felt like she was attacked my childhood memories and I wanted to safeguard them. It took me a long time to admit to myself that what I experienced was abuse, and it changed how I engaged with my environment. It sounds like Alexa is a lot further ahead in her healing journey than most other Nick stars. It can feel really lonely being self-aware. I think a lot of people are reassessing what they went though. A lot of people are going to try and justify Dan’s actions so they don’t have to feel the pain, it’s easier that way. Personal growth is uncomfortable, I’m so proud of Alexa!

And then a few weeks later I saw on Josh’s podcast he and his co host were talking about Jeanette like she was a royal bish. And they talked about how good her episode was. Then they said something that pissed me off. Josh looked in to the camera lens and said I’m the good guy. WE’RE GOOD GUYS. Like he was trying to hypnotize her into letting him release the pod. I agree !! And I also think that whatever kinda creepy sh it Dan Schneider did something to Amanda Bynes. She was a hit on tv and she was extremely successful in the movies. And he did something that hurt her so deeply it helped her mental illness came spilling out. I don’t know what it was for certain. But I know EVERYTIME I see that famous picture of a cute young Amanda in a swimsuit and Dan sitting in an undershirt and full fledge button down shirt and sunglasses in an indoor hot tub. My skin crawls. He deserves to face the consequences for what he did to ALL the kids that worked for him. Miranda, Amanda, Jeanette, Victoria, Arianna and even the human cockroach Jamie Lyn. He should be in prison for the way he acted and treated those kids, and for what kind of predator things he did.
