Just so you know, the best scarab combination to use for this tree is: (Cartography Scarabs) 1 regular, 1 of Ascension, 1 of Corruption, and 1 influencing scarab of conversion. This is because of how map drops work. Map drops are 3 to 1 on tier. When you are running all 4 void stones, maps drop start at t14. If it primes a t14 map to drop, since only t16 maps can drop, it basically adds a number to a queue. When that number hits 3, it upgrades to the next tier. On the tree it is possible to get +1 to the tier of all maps, which makes it start at t15. So instead of 9 map queues to get a map, it takes 3. Then when you add the scarab of ascension, it adds another native tier to the drop, which makes it drop every time it primes a map to drop. So basically, while duplication gives you 30% increase, and a 2nd cartography scarab gives you a 33% increase, the scarab of ascension gives you a 300% increase. When it decides you are "due" for a t17 map, it starts the queue again, so 3 maps will equal 1 t17 map. Your drops will triple if you change out one scarab.
This is incorrect, but it keeps popping up. Someone out there is spreading misinformation, and they need to be stopped. Adding further tier increases has substantial diminishing returns. Once a map is T16, increasing its tier does nothing. You get +1 tier through Watchstones and +.85 tiers through atlas passives, so the Scarab is already heavily diminished. A breakdown on reddit about this Scarab from a month or so ago showed that it's worth about 17% more T16 maps, not 300%. This not only makes it the weakest Carto Scarab, it's the weakest by a wide margin. It's always a good idea to test things that don't sound right. Claiming that a 1c scarab increases map drops by 300% is wild. Just by doing a couple of maps, you can show that this isn't correct. You won't get 30 T16 maps per map by running this Scarab. If you did, that would put you around 70+ Divines/hour, and although map farming is profitable, it's not there.
Just what i needed, not really to sell maps but id rather take like 30-60mins doing this to get 8mods of my wish rather than spending loads of currency or buying white for 1d/50 and vaaling which is dogpoop. ty for the content
Map duplication scarabs are only good when bosses are a significant factor in your map drops. That's because they are a multiplier - x1.3. In comparison, the first regular 50% more maps is x1.5 multiplier. The second 50% more maps is x1.33 multiplier. So, if you are running Jungle Valley and skipping the boss, you are always better off with x2 cheap scarabs. If you are doing the boss, the duplication becomes slightly better, but it's offset by the scarab price. What you are missing, is the ascension scarab. It's easy to miss it, but it's very good. In general, it is always worth to run it.
It's 50% increased, not 50% more. Ascension Scarab is dramatically weaker than either of the other two, and should never be used in any circumstances when running t16's.
I can tell you 100% this is wrong, I've been running a similar strategy and I've been getting a good number of t17 dupes off regular mobs not just bosses in fact more than once(been doing this for about a day now) I've duped off a regular mob and then the boss on t17 maps in one map. Dupe scarab definitely worth it
I ran this without knowing you even had a video on it. Even ran sewers/dunes for easy boss options. The difference seems to be that I used 1 cart scarabs for 50% more maps, 1 duplicate and 1 40% more magic monsters and 1 corrupt. I found that the alters often had map dup on them and the duplicate scarab in SC is 15c each as of today. In 50 maps, I received a quad tab worth of 8mod maps, 17 t17 maps and 3 random raw div. Even though I have scarabs focused on my atlas with cartography as the 100% increase, I was disappointed it wasn’t even close to keeping up with my spend. But, the t17 maps themselves were double my expenses. The extra 8mods with be my gravy and all of the dunes/toxic sewer that I sustained will keep me running for free at this point. I also learned from this experience that Burning Ground sucks. P.S. The fact that we’re running huge quant maps, I found Harvest to be incredibly profitable as something to just jump into while mapping. There’s been a few times I got 3k yellow without any atlas points or duplication.

They're still selling! Trying at different times of day can help, they tend to sell more quickly during daytime/evening hours in NA, rather than in the dead of night.

I'm using this stra with 8-mods Dunes and cannot get 15d/h even without Singular focus. Mostly I got 7d/hr at max when Zig maps are 0.8d/map on bulk buy TFT. What I have done wrong?
If you're going off of the WealthyExile value, it doesn't correctly estimate the value of 8-mod maps. It just calculates them as white maps, so around 2c each. That probably accounts for the difference, if it's nothing else.
Jungle Valley is valuable due to not needing to kill the boss for exarch/eater influence altars spawning with final boss modifiers. Saves you alot of time when blasting strongboxes, harvest, and etc.

It's way more common to drop a connected map then the actual map you are running. Some atlas points help there and i think it's even naturally the case. If you are farming maps like this you probably don't need to ping pong but if you are doing something else, it's really recommanded to ping pong if you don't wanna buy maps
Since you've done a few different strats, what do you recommend for someone just getting going in the league? I haven't had much playtime yet do to IRL stuff and I'm just getting to t16
T6 Essences are the best low-end strat for getting up and running, then Harvest once you're comfortable doing t16's, and corrupted 8-mod map farming once you're zooming.
i think jun (betrayal) is also never bad to have. you just need to get safehouses nowadays and do the occasional bossfight and if you get the orb it really can kickstart your league. same with adorned frag from delve boss but you would have to delve for that xd

T17 map drops depend on the map you are in when dropping them. Also you run toxic sewer to have a pretty high chance to get dune mals to drop them in since it's a connected map. You could run waste pool, which has a very simular layout,to gre jungle vally maps but both of them have a meh boss compared to toxic sewer/dunes
That's it! Waste Pool and Jungle Valley also both drop Abomination, which at this point is a cheaper map than Fortress (Dunes) or Ziggurat (Toxic Sewer).

Well im doing something similar but im doing T17 Ziggurat with BTB & 8mod maps scarabs, getting 20-40maps(67pb) per run and in combination with the uber Fragments I get 2-6div per map (takes like 6-7minutes to run with decent build), I just sell them in bulk after that dunes/jungle valley with rejex can go up to 15c per. You should try it its decent for content i guess if u want ofc gl!

Currently running 2 maps per minute, full clear (strand btw) help me out to farm mi first mirror. Uploaded a video of the build to my channel if u are interested. @@k1ngjam3s67 yeah it's a different craft so as long as it has enough charges to be reused when the effect runs out it'll trigger it again. see a lot of stuff like pathfinders with it with all the charge recovery.
Yea, this one is a bit misleading. I was farming 8 mod maps with my strongboxes and I had like 500 maps in the end. I listed on TFT for 8c each and I did not sell single one. Maybe you have to be lucky to get picked among the other 300 people selling 8 mod maps.
Hate to tell you this but scarabs are used in every strat now. They removed sextants so scarabs are the focus now. If you are doing maps with 4 empty fragment slots you are shooting yourself in the foot

If you are running the 8 mods corrupted maps that drops with the scarab, you can remove chiseled perfection as they dont have quality on them.
Good call, although some of them will randomly drop with a bit of quality, that's pretty rare, and it's not always 20%.

regex, some people can't run all mods so they give you a filter to exclude certain maps. generally there's a price premium for doing that
