It says a lot for Jim's character that as a teenager, having brought his parents and siblings down from The Gorbals to Leeds, a situation which would've left most kids of that age starry-eyed, he was strong enough to be his own man and not allow himself to be tricked by Revie despite the anxiety it must've caused him at the time. Jim was a terrific footballer and has obviously looked after himself since. He looks and sounds great. Excellent interview lads. New subscriber 635. 👍

brilliant podcast as usual, what a great, erudite man jim is , his stories are superb, such a pity doc's chelsea side imploded (bit like what happened a few years later with sexton) they could have been a dominant successful side, the what ifs in football are fascinating, i eagerly await part 2, thanks so much, best wishes to alan, what a character

Thanks for another great Podcast gents. Really good to see Jim one of my father's fave players. Amazing story about 'BlackpoolGate' - It's a real shame the club did not win more trophy's.
Can you share the true story about Chelsea offering George Best the number 11 shirt.

I have watched or listened to every Alan Hudson podcast , great thanks should be given to Tony Jimenez too
not sure if he has to cajol Alan into appearing on his own pod cast as there was a gap between posting I appreciate it must be hard to produce these gems but it is much appreciated when they are broadcast . Alan is a mine of information in regard to the days when football was totally working class and the pros had time for the fans even i Jim Mc Calliog , great name and a great guest , turned down Leeds because Revie was a liar , great man . Thank you
