In today’s episode of Figuring Out, we have Vipul Shah in conversation with Raj Shamani.
He is one of the finest film producers and directors of India. He has made movies like ‘The Kerala Stories’, ‘Namaste London’, and ‘Commando’.

Unofficially it is much higher. Don't get me started on the rapes of women and the number of houses burnt by forces in the early 90s. My 10 year old cousin was killed by a bullet from a CRPF jawan just because he ventured out of his house to play on a curfew day. Thank you, Raj, for the insightful podcast. This issue is real. It's not just about Kerala, but it's happening all over the world and all over India. They say that terrorism has no religion, but every terrorist has a religion. It's not about Muslims; they are also human beings, but they are following a book and consider it acceptable. According to them, Muslims don't consider all these things as a crime.
The best way to deal with this is not to deal with it at all. All you can do is to stay away from such people. Before making close friends or boyfriends, think about it at least 10 times. The issue in Kashmir was called propaganda because it showed the truth. Don't forget that the people who drove Kashmiri Hindus out of Kashmir were their friends and neighbours.

My favourite one that comes to my mind immediately is the movie called Khaap, it depicts the honour killings in the villages of Haryana. It was acted by the legendary actor Om Puri himself.

(Hindu, christian, muslim)..the most literate/clean state in India.we don't get excited or do blood shed wars when you play religion cards..pls there was couple of incidents happened where girls were trafficked to terrorism..but why so much silence on Hindu Demi Gods in North India and sexual financial scam..iam Hindu ,from Kerala .and never had any issues with any of Muslims...so please do interview with malayalee filim maker or writer about the situation in Kerala.This gentle man can not even pronounce Kerala properly,but can take a movie on Kerala

Thanks for this episode raj, i have seen my own friend got trapped in this.. How we got her back!.. The guy literally trapped her by saying he is hindu and got married , he kept all his family background secret the girl fought with her family and family finally agreed to give her hand to him and arragned grand ceremony.
Then the Cenario was completely different and scary.. We Couldn't contact her for months.. When we few friends and her family decided to go and meet it was difficulty to trace her, when we finally found out she was converted and that guy was muslim.
