Your father was one of the kindest, gentlest but fiercest men I’ve ever met. He was an extraordinary teacher and one that believed in leading by example. After watching the grace, wisdom and courage you displayed in making this video Daniel (not to mention your mannerisms and appearance!) it is clear that your dad has passed down his legacy and is surely looking down and smiling knowing it is in great hands! If I can be of any assistance to you guys along the way, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Love (with a capital “L”) Jeff Cavaliere

I'm deeply saddened for your family's loss. We as a community will mourn his passing but we are all grateful for his teachings and his positive messages. For me personally, he helped me find something to do during the lockdowns that helped me physically and mentally.

I am one of the untold thousands your father inspired since he first came to prominence in the kettlebell community and I am very grateful for the few days I got to spend time with him in person and assist him with demos. I always hoped our paths would cross again and I am so sorry for Steve's family, friends and students to lose him so suddenly. I had already written on Gregory's Lebe Stark and Nsima's interview with him that it is up to us who knew him and understood the value of his teachings to take it on and continue to develop and share what we got from him with each other and those who have yet to discover his work. It's great to hear that his legacy is in good hands. Thank you.

Thank you, Steve, for your mentorship. thanks to your teachings I was able to support my family and make people healthy again. Without those teachings at that time, who knows where I would have ended up? Blessings on your friends, family, and students as they carry the example you set forward.

Steve got me in great shape through highschool and college working out to his DVDs. He had some of the most ridiculous strength I've ever seen displayed with kettlebells and calisthenics! Prayers to your family and Mr. Cotter.

I did not know your father personally, only through his work on social media including UA-cam. In this world full of self proclaimed fitness influencers, he stood out vastly from them all due to his eagerness to help with questions, eagerness to teach and share information, and kindness in the manner in which he did so. I can only imagine just how much more so this was magnified in his personal presence.
I pray that God brings you comfort. There is no easy way or right time to go through something like this, my Mom passed on recently and I testify to the difficulty of these things. Your father said he wasn't afraid of dying, and I don't believe he had a reason to. God be with you.
