Dude, i love this interview, love CadiaN and hearing him be so personal about all of these small details was so cool. Got pretty real at the end there, so much respect to him for being open about his feelings, its rare to see such a personal and human side of the scene. Would love to see more like this.

1:29:10 No the command was mat_dxlevel 95 and was banned in ESL and Lan tournaments. You HAD to have mat_dxlevel 81 on which caused the flashes to have extended blinding effect. Even when you were standing anti flash with dxlevel 81 you were completely flashed for 1 second, with dxlevel 95 you wouldn't.

Edit: Ah he was talking about a bind to refresh the game, mb. When he was talking about the strong flashes I pressume he meant the command and people "cheating" by using the wrong value. :)
Someone needs to make an unreadable death metal pro sticker, like a bush of thorns
I think the challenge with CL_lefthand is skins. You can't just flip the gun because then the stickers for example would be mirrored. Cadian would be naidaC if it's flipped.
How do you handle that? Do you also flip all the skins? What about pattern skins do you show the "non playside" or what? It's not so much what you do, but what option you pick. For me I couldn't tell you which i think is best. Maybe I'd just mirror the skins cause it'd be funny
you realise this existed in csgo? It just flipped them all so they looked completely normal, that is unless you swapped it back and forth then it just saves the way you launched the game so stickers are backwards until you restart

@@solcoburn8418I think you are a little wrong here, it did exist in csgo but the engine was different. these newbies are crying all the time "why not do this or why not do that"; don't have any understanding of how much work it is to make a game engine especially from scratch (which source 2 is , especially for a fps game and yeah I know dota 2 had it but it's completely different for fps games compared to a moba). Maybe not using the left hand is the way to go. Save time and resources (only a handful of people understand the codes for source 2 engine) . and what the fuck is the realistic use case for cl_left/right hand anyways????? except for maybe triggering adhds. And yes I completely believe Valve is cooking in the AC department. if they are making a game for the next 10-20 years, they also understand Anti Cheats are essential.
maybe one day, out of nowhere ,Valve would change the whole AC debate forever and we will as a community look back at how stupid our reactions were
@@yashtripathi6266 coding anything in GO was known to be hardwork since it wasn't built from the ground up for CS, the engine came from a different company that valve took over. They 100% have the ability to add lefthand now I just think it's a choice so that all shadows remain accurate as I can't see them changing shadows for left hand etc. but I see no issue with just having left hand as many have used it that way for years, just keep the shadows the same as right hand who really cares

Even looking at csgo gameplay feels 100x better than playing cs2, you can literally see how clean and good the game was.
1:50:00 tbh it really helps, i played Unreal tournament, it was private server etc you just could turn on everything and see, so did in Enemy territory andy other games. Game senser boosted played without even better :D. Funny is that we never know who cheats and is legit, some also say donk cheats, something is that we dont know yet...
The argument for ai anti cheat gathering data is plausible but the problem is ai cant gather data from programs beyond its capabilities for example DMA hardware. Valve ai anti cheat being in usermode isn't helping when most cheats are in kernel.

I didn't play this game since October cuz it was garbage. I saw the big update and I was excited to try it. Same bad movement, bad bullets registry, subtick still shit, enemy dies with delay, still full of cheaters and on top of that -100 -150 fps and I didn't make any fucking change in the settings. Valve thinks ppl will wait 1, 2 years for the game to be playable?..I don't think so. They can't even replicate what csgo has so thats why alot of they're players are gone.

They are definitely not collecting data for their "Ai Anticheat". It makes absolutely no sense, because with their current state they are destroying their game and the playerbase decreases. So why would they risk to destroy their game by collecting data for their anticheat and meanwhile banning nobody, insted of simply using a Kernel anticheat or even multiple anticheats, like Fortnite for example.

bro i bout stopped playing for a year just because i didnt get a cs2 beta invite, I had been playing the game for like 8 years at that point with 4000 hours plus and my friend with less than 500 got it like idk what they were thinking with that biggest turn off ever, honestly that was the turning point for me when i started saying fuck valve they dont know what the fuck theyre doing

even valorant lets you play left handed... valve needs to stop being cucks and just give the community what they want not what valve wants. The game still has so many things that needs fixed... like being able to just hold A or D with an SMG and triple dink someone. Or the killing people mid air problem, or the 1,000,000 things that causes the game to micro stutter.
Also about the AC bro there is no way they are cooking shit whenever i get rage cheaters, and spinbotters and i see the same guys doing the same thing every time, and then there's so many "legit" cheaters that act like they arent walling and or soft aiming, that will never get banned imo bc an AI would never realize they are cheating because the data that will have been collected will be on the obvious cheaters.
