If you're going to do your own maintenance, you should invest in the proper tools, it makes every job easier. I wish they could bottle up your work ethic and sell it. You're such a hard-working, dependable, reliable person. Take care of yourself and Pops too.
I've watched all your videos, starting with the earliest ones. Your progression in how you cover what you cover has been a lot of fun to see. Your explanations of why you do things the way you do has taught me a lot. You've wondered a couple of times about whether showing the chores and talking about things is worthwhile. In my book it helps us understand the level of effort required to do something as seemingly simple as getting milk to the grocery store. I really appreciate how you've commented on how you enjoy the routines and how they help you notice when things aren't as they should be. A lot of folks on my mother's side of the family are Kansas wheat and soybean farmers. I've sort-of been exposed to farming my entire life, but have had very limited opportunity to help get things done beyond chucking hay bales with them. It's something I've always wanted to experience more, but my choice of an engineering path got in the way. Your channel has helped this 63-year-old understand a lot more about the farming industry in general and dairy farming in particular. Thank you for feeding and educating the rest of us. Best wishes to your dad for his healing, and best wishes to you and your family for continued success.
Hope the weather picks up soon and you get more sun to dry your crops out. The rain stoped us in Scotland we were getting the harvest done till the rain showed up. The brush makes a great job of brushing your silage pit. Great work Eric and real nice to see you dad out and about he is looking well. Great video Eric
Yea... that verbal note you added when putting on that filter.... " yea I put oil on the gasket ", you said it quick and I always oil the gasket... it did not ring to me as an important item at the time... but yea... good job. Main reason for this comment is to thank you for continuing to video the routine chores. Let all the people who think farming is easy learn about how each day is mostly the same work.
Love your Videos Eric! Tell pops we said hi & good to see him out there. But wow what don’t you know how to do? Lol you Guys know how to fix everything & replace parts, you have tools for all that! I can’t even set up my own TV ! 😂😂 God Bless you guys !! Stay safe 🤗
ERIC, THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE EXTRA TIME TO SHOW US LOTS OF ANGLES ON YOUR JOBS AT THE FARM. ITS ALOT OF HARD WORK FOR YOU BUT IT BRINGS BACK LOTS OF MEMORIES WORKING ALONG SIDE MY DAD. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THE MEMORIES.
hey, just wanted to thank you for your Videos. Im german and my family has nothing to do with farming but me and my brother just love it. unfortunately you cant just build up a farm from scratch but it is just nice to see you working and getting to more a bit more every day about the whole topic. keep goin!
Hey Eric! The farm really has that "harvest is right around the corner" vibe to it. You're doing great work. Glad to see your dad out in the shop too! I hope the shoulder is coming along well. Catch you in the next one.
Hello from Aberdeenshire Scotland 🏴 nice video as usual thanks 🙏 for taking the time to record your working day it must be difficult at times when you are so busy 👍
As a farmer, I love farming and I love everyone who helps promote and post videos about farming in general. On this occasion, I encourage you, my friend, and I thank you for this good initiative and I support you to continue on this path. greeting from Morocco.
I love all the extra detail you guys put into everything you do. We have lots of dairys in our area and I've never heard of anyone sweeping out the bunker before filling! Keep up the great videos
Thanks for another great video.Kinda miss you finding an occasional can of Mountain Dew in the corn silage, corn field etc...God bless you and your family.
That Kubota is quite the workhorse! I can't wait for harvest and drone footage of that beautiful area! You are getting better and better with each video, keep up the great work!
This channel is defnitely my happy place away from the noise and commotion of 2020! Keep up the good work, Eric. (On both farm and videos; I know that you will.)
Thank goodness for the sweeper!! Hi Dennis, good to see you out and about..AND... not using your arm! Eric, thank you so much for your time and efforts to provide us with theses excellent videos.
Hello, sorry for my English, I want to say that I am from Russia and here it is quite difficult to learn English. I started watching English youtubers, but I didn't understand their speech ... but when I came across you on UA-cam, I immediately liked your accent and now I am learning English from your videos, I also note that they are very interesting! Good luck.
Shibumi and the speed chain looks pretty dry. When my Dad am I we’re farming we would save old engine oil and pour it on the speed chains, it surely helped with the life of the chains.
We bunked silage wet for our cattle and covered it with grass silage/thatch. We expected it to ferment and it did. The cows loved it. This was a beef cattle and cow/calf operation, not nearly the feed sophistication of a dairy operation. Silage time, except for the yellow jackets, was my favorite time of year. We packed and pushed silage with a D-4 Cat, one of my all time favorite farm tools.
"Small bag" it's only 80 tons lol Don't know if you know of them, but strap wrenches are great for grabbing those filters. May be a useful tool to have for other things around the farm as well. Fairly cheap.
Hi Erik, I Love you're videos they are very educational I started watching A while back, But now I have watched every video and have thoroughly enjoyed, In this particular video you point out how you don't like the plastic tubing blowing off in the wind. Just A suggestion Why don't you fasten them down maybe that would save A lot of time and frustration in the future, Keep up the good work and take care.
I wonder if those cows think "good morning big guy", great hands. You must get splashed with milk every session from the strip squirts hitting the floor. You didn't say what the leak smelled like from the ag bag. It makes great moonshine. The ladies must love having their beds all made when they get back. Small wonder they are so content. Good video. Peace.
Hey man I have been watching you since 1k subs and every time I watch your video I realize that I am one lucky person. You are hard working and earn your stuff. Keep it up man I hope when you have kids they can take over your channel
A tip for the brush. When you store it, don’t put the bristols on the ground. They will deform. That’s why the brush was making the sound and vibration.
Have you looked into using a gas powered broom attachment for a string trimmer for sweeping around the edges of the bunks? It would save you time and energy.
I haven't noticed any mice, or other varmints, running around. I assume there would be with all that food laying around. How are you guys dealing with that issue? Odd question I know. Thought just occurred today. I sometimes help my buddy around his farm and see mice sometimes, so I am curious about the lack of them in your videos.
You don't have a rubber wrap around filter wrench? Master grip makes one that is great and my Mom even uses it to open jars. It fits any size. I can't live without it and no tearing up threads with a screw driver. thanks Eric
Hey Eric! Just curious if y'all get a lot of mosquitoes 🦟 because of the standing water in all of those tires??? Love the cows 🐄 🐄!!! Hope your Dad is healing well. Don't let him over do it. Or else he'll be right back to where he is!!! Thank you for all of the amazing videos!!! Is there any way you could show the calves a little more??? Thank you again!!
Hi from Australia I find that in line mastitis detectors finds mastitis better than stripping we at the moment we have a cow that we only see mastitis on the detector not when we look before cups go on
I read a little on lime & they say dont put it where your animals lay down out and yal put it in their bedding spots dose it cause any skin issues ? Good video yal be safe Daniel from central Mississippi

Out of all of the other UA-cam about dairy I find him more enjoyable.
Good video with detail and obvious illustration of what it takes to be a dairy farmer. Lots of work! Thanks🙏
Raised right. Good job dad. Your son is awesome.

Amazed at all of the accessories you can use !!!
Thanks for teasing us with a look at your office
You gotta be loving that sweet new Kubota- air conditioning, enclosed cab, tunes... life is good!
Speaking of- that sweeper looks like it could use a pressure washer, maybe some attention to some Zerk fittings... ? 🤔

Always excited to see your videos! Thanks so much!
The tire management seems like it might have a lot of potential for improvement...
Awesome Video and Much LOVE as Always!!!
(Don’t worry, we put oil on the gasket!) Nothing like having a quarter million potential critics watching everything you do!
Pro tip: you can watch series at flixzone. Been using them for watching loads of movies recently.
@Muhammad Jayce Definitely, have been using Flixzone} for since december myself =)
That sweeper is sweet.
Thanks for sharing you life on the farm!
Big fan of farming 🚜

This is sooo tough on your dad, You have to do more, he want's to get back to work, but knows he must wait out the healing. Smart dad.
It's a broom, & a dust pan all in one, I LOVE that idea!
I like the new skid steer
What a cliffhanger ending! Show us the office!
"Small bag" it's only 80 tons lol

Hey awesome videos , put some smile on your face buddy cuz you look sad💪😉
A tip for the brush. When you store it, don’t put the bristols on the ground. They will deform. That’s why the brush was making the sound and vibration.
I can only imagine the mosquitos that live in those tires, blocked by wind nice warm wet spot for them to breed
Have you looked into using a gas powered broom attachment for a string trimmer for sweeping around the edges of the bunks? It would save you time and energy.

Best time of the year chopping time always looked forward to it. Never seen a farmer wear crocs before
4:00 testing the limits of the new machine, looked like you really wanted/tried to move the whole pile at once.
If you don't try you don't know lol😅
Hey Eric instead of swiping try a Leaf blower and see if the is easier than swiping around the bunkers
I like to have some milk when watching your vids. Thanks. Yum
I believe if you take a little pressure off the broom it stops the hopping... I haven't ran one in years I hope I am remembering correctly...
You had better luck with your hydraulic filter than I did on our JD 5055E. Yeesh!
Keep up the good work
Hows the office coming. O know you've been busy....just wondering. Thank you for sharing. Take care.
You don't have a rubber wrap around filter wrench? Master grip makes one that is great and my Mom even uses it to open jars. It fits any size. I can't live without it and no tearing up threads with a screw driver. thanks Eric

That sweeper is a little quicker than the ol corn broom!
Your dad really wants to help you. You can tell by the way he's standing. I've been like that too and it sucks
Love the content ⚘
Is there a locking prop up bar to secure that Kubota cab when you raise it? Safety first etc.
puirYorick,
Yes, there is a lock arm. It can be heard locking when he raises it.
