With the dozens of times we've seen the Triolet mixer, I had no idea how BIG the danged thing was until the shot of you inside it with a push broom. The size is deceptive from the outside. Another thing to learn! Looking forward to your sharing another season of silage. Thanks for doing this.
Great work Eric. I pray your dad is continuing to do his PT and healing well. Thank you so much for sharing your life on the farm. Your efforts show and they are appreciated. You're an awesome son, husband and dad.
Really enjoy watching your dairy operation. If possible, it would be great to see more of the senior dairyman (Your Dad). He's a wealth of information and years of experience. God has blessed you indeed.
The cows look like they know the color difference of the feeder. They typically have their heads out and start eating but they actually kept their heads back and looking at it like they were trying to figure out what was going on.
@Paperwing yes. Our cows notice when we hang up a shovel in a different place, and come over to smell it to make sure it’s the same shovel. No kidding.
This channel always puts a smile on my face and thank everyone and everything that’s happened in my life. Your awesome dude don’t let anyone tell you different.
Hey! We have a 620 just like that! Ended up taking the conveyor off for a few reasons. 1 It was too wide and it was a matter of time till it got hit. 2 Way faster unload times. 3 Less hydraulics. 4 Less things to break. But if you need it to get over a curb or something then thats beside the point!
Eric really gets into his work. Your skills running the machinery is amazing. Always fun to watch you work and learn from your explaining what you are doing and why. thanks so much for the great videos.
I am sure we will see a “ How to pour cement to widen a laneway “ video coming soon. Always takes awhile to get used to a new piece of equipment. Make sure it fits in all your hidey holes.
its just training, training and oh more training... if youre backing up specific machines every day like the mixer wagon or whatever, you're getting used to it and it's almost like driving forward ;)
@@sabretom7594 as you can see in previous vids he's backing it to the melasses and to the harvestore unload station. thats happening at least once or twice a day i guess
Today we went tuna fishing so I wasn't available to watch your videos I had no internet and Wi-Fi go about 70 miles from New Jersey in the middle of the ocean. It was very fun and a nice break from farming.
The cows weren’t sure of the new big blue machine 😊 to bad you just couldn’t get a bigger version of the red one😟 I’m thinking in the long run this won’t be a good fit. But of course that decision is based from my couch 🛋 Lol 😂
Hi Good day I was watching another dairy farm on utube after wards I just subscribe to your farm and start watch I love what I see very clean farm God bless you keep up the hard work.be safe
I decided to donate $1 to the SPCA for every time you smiled. After watching all of your videos, they weren't very grateful for either of the two dollars I gave them.
It’s amazing how the farming season varies so much throughout the world. Here in Ireland harvest is over for most of the farms almost a month, you only started harvesting this week and in Minnesota they have a week or two to go yet
Ireland is the size of the State of Indiana so unless you have traveled the US most folks from Europe have no idea how big the Country is. US has Cold Hardy Zones 3-11, so lots of variation in the timing of harvest.
All that for my milk! God Bless you. My next glass will have more flavor and a more greatful drinker! Thank you for your long days and nights and for taking such great care of your stock.
Nice video! I think you have to test an self propelled feed mixer. Here in Germany the most farmers in the same size than your farm got such a machine. In my opinion this would save you a lot of time. You dont have to switch between tractor and skid loader. You can load with it all your grain, dry hay and corn silage. Best regards from germany 👍
We had the same problem as you with the feeder was not emptying at the front and made it to wide for the cattle in certen sheds. We bout a bigger feeder same as our old one only bigger. Great ag-bag silage and video. Look forward to your next one
Hello Eric, thanks for the video. The new mixer seems to empty out much better than the old one did. Looks you have an other job to do next to the corn silage the coming week (putting in an extra slab of concrete). Hopefully the recovery of your father is still going well. Greetings from Holland.
Not sure if you purchased the patz or not with the lag time in videos from when you film to when you post but, I would strongly encourage you to check out other mixers as well. We own a patz mixer and will never own another one. The biggest problem I have with a patz is that when the auger/screw gets worn down just alittle, they do not mix up all the ingredients. We have tried many different things with kicker plates and tried putting different ingredients in at different times, still the same results. And unfortunately our dealer is no help along with the company. Not going to recommend a brand, but definitely do your research.
with the knives on that patz you won't need to grind your hay anymore before you mix it, it'll chop it as it mixes, at least thats what the dairies around here found out
I was never a fan of unloading on the left. Everything in the tractor is oriented on the right. We run a 2400 trioliet with the 2 speed automatic gearbox. Fluffy loads (lots of dry feed) and small loads all get mixed in high. Heavy loads the small inclusion ingredients get loaded first and mixed in high speed. Then when we add the forages when it reaches the set points it shifts to low speed. Unloading it will automatically shift up again at a given set point so it unloads nice and even.
Thnx Eric for showing and explaining with great detail👍👌 The new mixer seems to run quite well, pity that it is just a bit wide for the barn with heifers.
We tried a side conveyer like that once. So clumsy much prefer front conveyer plus you can see into feeder with a front door. Looking forward to corn harvest 👍👍
Great video Eric testing before you buy is very wise, that ag bag feed, I can almost smell it all the way over here in Hawaii, smells pretty good. Aloha Brother from the Big island 🤙🏼
For the last little bit of stones left on the bag a decent sized leaf blower would clean it up pretty quickly they wouldn’t fling very far but you wouldn’t have anything left on the bag and all the stone dirt and dust would come off too! I’m a landscaper and we often have to blow gravel and dirt off of driveways so I think it would work well on the plastic bag after you scraped the bulk of it off with the skid steer!
We really like our supreme 500t mixer. Feed 160 milk cows with it and the low loading height works great for a skid steer even with the rubber extension. Doesn’t clean out fantastic, but we only have a single speed gearbox. Cheers from Canada!
Nothing a little gravel can't fix to widen by the dry cows for you. That being said. You have to like it. Pros and cons to every piece of equipment. Good luck with harvesting
The dairy I worked at in Greencastle PA had an older mixer. They replaced it and we had to try a few before we found one that would work for our barns.
One of these days, is there anyway that you could film the entire process of putting the molasses in and mixing it into the other products? I’ve always wondered about that and you shown different bits and pieces of it but I would really be interested to see that whole process. Thanks for the vids man

Do you need the conveyor? If not you might be able to remove it from the wagon. We have a mixer like that but without conveyor. When unloading a flap pops up from the bottom of the door.
If you put small rubber strips like 3 or 4 inches tall on the length of the paddles on the conveyor of the patz feed wagon you could have the conveyor at a steeper angle and it would still carry the feed out
Is the Trioliet a good mixer? It seems they are the best all around mixers (with a two speed, haha). Thoughts? I am looking to buy my first mixer so I don't want to miss something.
